Tidewater used to charge us $50 a year for the lease. We recently got our bill and it was $200 for the lease. I called them and the lady in the office and explained out situation. She told me that it was because we don't use propane so I asked her to give me her bosses number. I called him and explained our situation hoping for some kind of a break. I was told after a long spiel that there's nothing that he could do for us. I told him that we likely would not keep the tank to which he replied "we can come and get the tank but it'll cost you $135". To add insult to injury he also told us that we would have to pay the $200 yearly lease, even if we gave the tank back, which I thought is unethical and absolutely wrong as this fee is paid in advance. He would pay us for the propane remaining in the tank, but of course at the price it was a few years ago when we last filled the tank and of course would sell it at the current price I'm sure.So with the refund for the 70% full tank of propane, it would cost us more to give the tank back then pay the $200 fee. I feel completely taken advantage of and ripped off by this company. I certainly will never send any business their way!!

I regret ever dealing with this company !!!!! Once the tank is empty going to have them picket up n be done this this BS !!!!

First impression was Brenda and Gabe who were very courteous on the phone. They quoted and found time on their schedule to have the installers come out the next day to set a new tank. Bobby and Tyler, I have to give 10 stars. They were professional, informative, and friendly. We had an existing line that needed pressure test and fixing to bring up to code. They came immediately while in the area to look at the work. As soon as the town gave permission, they came and finished the job within hours. Definitely recommend this family business for propane needs.
