Finished it off w two pieces of cake (Snickers and Prince) and a great Americano. Outside and inside seating. Clean bathroom. Super friendly staff. Y'all, this place is so good! It has a familial feel to it, like you're going to someone's house…read more They have both a grocery and cafe inside. There are tables inside the cafe and outside undercover. When you walk around, there are SO many things to see: hot food, snacks, chocolate, candies, cakes, pastries, different variety of tinned fish, all kinds of pickled things in a jar, dry pasta of various types, more treats, juices, syrups, tea, and a refrigerator/freezer section filled with milk, cheese, butter, fish, and SO much more! Highly recommend if you want to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. The cafe also has a nice list of things they offer. For drinks: coffee, tea, matcha latte and shakes with different syrups. For food: sweet + savory crepes, soups, and pirogies + dumplings, which you can find in the freezer section as well. Then there's the dessert display with macarons, cakes, baklava, and eclairs. My sister and I got the blackberry matcha, mocha, potato pierogis, chicken dumplings, lemon eclair and pistachio mousse cake. Everything was wonderful. We were obsessed with the pierogis and dumplings. They were so flavorful, warm and filling. We'll definitely come back.

Let me say I'm of two minds about Hong Phat:…read more As an Asian Supermarket (and I've shopped at plenty), it's a bit underwhelming in terms of organization and product selection. I expected a lot more diversity of products, in such an expansive space. I enjoy a lot of powdered drinks (Vietnamese Coffee, Thai Tea, etc). I've been to much, much smaller stores with a lot more selection from Asia... and they were completely out of Thai Basil when I went... low on cilantro, too. Plenty of Culantro, if I was willing to substitute. Their pricing is cheaper than H-Mart and some of the other Asian markets in the area. However, the true value here, which cannot be denied is the $5 Bahn Mi with iced Vietnamese coffee... Were I them, I would probably just run a value Bahn Mi shop, with lines back to Pioneer Station. So far, I've had the sausage /pork patty version and the Dac Biet. The pork patty is far superior to the Ham + Head Cheese version for my taste. It seems that most of the people in the area do NOT include pate on any of their sandwiches... I understand that is traditional, and in Orlando... pretty much ubiquitous. It makes little difference, as the value is excellent. The iced coffee is the star here... I noticed a bit of a mocha flavor when I had it the first time, but put it down to my lack of familiarity with Vietnamese coffee. The second time, I definitely tasted the addition of Hershey's Syrup. Absolutely worth a trip for lunch, and if you aren't looking a ton of variety, a pretty decent place for sauces and soup bases.

Aside from the fact that there's so much offered here that I can never remember where stuff is, and my cultural confusion of not being aware of what the signs are pointing to - sometimes I don't really know what I'm looking for - for the most part, I've found what I'm looking for when i come in. One HUGE (to me) bonus - the fresh rolls in the deli are huge and come with a free drink. Do NOT pass this deal up!

It was rather easy to locate, the store is small, but it does pack a punch. There's a lot of fun items here, you just might have to explore the aisles. I was surprised by the variety that they offer. They did have huge deli fridges and a large fridge filled with baked goods that I wouldn't mind coming back to check out. The people working were busy stocking so it took them awhile to help me check out, but they were very kind. The unfortunate thing was that one of the jaffa cakes I had purchased was already expired. I didn't realize until I got home.

I love this lil hidden gem of a market…read more The ladies in here are always so sweet and kind and I have to admit that even though they don't have the deli of cooked foods like Roman's but I believe their prices are so much better. In this economy I am ALWAYS out looking for bargains to share. The pelmeni are only $4.99 a lb and their wonderful selection of deli meats are probably some of the best around. Mortadella (Doctorsky) bologna or their smoked smoked sausages. We always get the (Moskovsky) one as well. Most Russian delis don't have huge selections of fresh produce but you can count on them having the staples for a Russian/Ukrainian household. I got staples like dill, potatoes, cabbage, beets, buckwheat, teas, manaya kasha, deli meats/cheeses, chocolates, sour cream, farmers cheese, freshly baked bread and kvass here. I get to practice my Russian when I come, and that's when I realize how out of practice I am, that my tongue is no longer cooperative with words that I used to be able to pronounce just fine. But they do speak English and are happy to assist you.
