I found out that staff was sent to clean out his refrigerator 2 days after his admission to a hospital. Additionally, My family was not refunded the months rent he did not use, which was over $4,000. I am so angry when I think of this place. They don't care about anything but money, and certainly not the people's lives that reside there. How dare they act dumb when I asked where my family members wallet and others belongings were? Absolutely disgusting management, and completely untrustworthy. The entire community looked new, elegant, and exceptionally well-maintained. Every staff member either greeted us warmly or worked quietly and efficiently in the background. Around every corner, there seemed to be another impressive amenity. The residents were also extremely friendly. During lunch, we watched a group of four finish their meal, and one resident moved over to join another table of three simply to continue enjoying the fellowship. That small moment said a great deal about the warmth and sense of community. The location is excellent, surrounded by small retail shops, veterinarians, dry cleaners, pizza restaurants, and many other convenient businesses. The community also offers underground parking, a secure bicycle-storage area, and valet parking. This is an amazing place and absolutely worthy of a tour.

It is easy to get answers if you have questions and whatever you need the staff gets it done right away. I am *incredibly* grateful to have found The Arbor at Delray via extensive searches of various search engine reviews (note: they thankfully have a lot more reviews, and quite positive ones, outside of this particular engine). It was very easy to connect with the leasing team. I worked predominantly with Jarrett from start to finish, and I cannot sing his praises loudly enough. I was able to get a complete video walkthrough tour in real-time with him on short notice, he helped us to navigate the challenging situation of a nebulous rehabilitation discharge date, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and was SO communicative and helpful throughout the process, well after his job was complete. He went so far above and beyond for my mom in getting her set up once she arrived. My mom has been at The Arbor at Delray for almost three months at this point, and she has adjusted really nicely, which is a HUGE testament, because like so many, she was quite resistant to the (very necessary) transition from independent to assisted living. She went from pleading to return home from rehab rather than enter any assisted living (not yet having seen The Arbor) to asking me to sell her independent living condominium after moving into The Arbor. During the time that outside home health services were visiting her, I repeatedly received the unsolicited feedback from them that this was among the nicest facilities they'd ever visited and that they would be thrilled to have the opportunity to reside their themselves. One of them joked that she was scheming how to break her own hip to qualify and referred to it as the "Taj Mahal of Assisted Livings." If you're looking at The Arbor, keep looking. I couldn't be more delighted and RELIEVED that our search led us here and that we were able to secure a spot for my mom where I can know that she is well-cared for in a clean, cheerful, respectful environment... with GOOD FOOD TO BOOT. My mom actually likes the food (did I mention the filet mignon that's on the "always available" menu)- which is quite high praise coming from her and not exactly typical of assisted living settings. She describes the nursing staff as universally polite and helpful, and I only wish she had the energy to attend the various lectures and singalongs and brain games and casino nights and ballet recitals and alllllll the things that this vibrant community offers. Seriously, I am grateful every day that The Arbor was an option at the time we were searching. Thank you again Jarrett for helping to make this happen, and thank you also to the rest of the team - Jennie, Zusy, Teresa, Karen, and anyone else I'm forgetting - for your care of my mom. Met, Jennifer, one of the staff in management at the Arbor. She was very helpful answering questions about the facilty with respect to cost and regular activities. She took us on a tour of the Arbor and showed us a studio unit. I appreciated Jennifer's professionalism and concern answering questions about activities, Jewish services on Friday and matters pertaining to medically available staff. Most alarming is the apparent neglect of residents' fundamental care needs. Basic hygiene is not consistently provided, with residents reportedly going without regular showers due to staff inattention. This represents a failure to meet even minimal standards of care and raises serious concerns about regulatory compliance and oversight. The overall condition of the facility--both in terms of physical environment and quality of care--reflects systemic mismanagement. In December, I found out we had 1 month to find and to get settled in Assisted Living which was a daunting task because I had an awful experience when I was discharged from the hospital. The rehab facility was my worst nightmare. I swore that I would figure out my options while I had control over my future living. I believe that everyone approaching this next step in life should be exploring what's ahead and touring places now. It will give you peace of mind. From the moment we entered Tuscan Gardens and said hello to Marie at the desk, I knew this was a warm and welcoming community. Marie is there to assist anyway needed. We were then excited to meet with Andrea, the Community Relations Director who took us on a tour. She took her time and showed us around. Andrea answered all of our questions and gave us a chance to talk with residents. Some have been here for years. They were all very happy with their experiences at Tuscan Gardens. That was all we needed to know. The residents are very open and helpful. Before we completed our tour with Andrea, we signed our reservation agreement knowing we found our new home. What a relief it was to begin the process of moving in! Within a month, we were settled and living happily at Tuscan Gardens. This review is a tribute to our new life here. You will find answers to your questions and how Tuscan Gardens meets the needs of their residents. I'm happy to share our experiences in hopes it will help you on your tour. Any time I need maintenance and setup services, I put in a work order request and then Sergy appears to quickly take care of things. There is extensive medical care based upon a resident's level,of care. There are 5 levels of care so there's no need to change assisted living arrangements because they also provide memory care. I love the social connections because most residents engage us as I also reach out to them as well. The social connections are very important and encouraged so Tuscan Gardens does many things so residents can be together if they wish. Floor Plans and Levels of Care: There are several floor plan options including a studio, 1 and 2 bedrooms floor plans. There are 5 levels of care. I'm a resident who is independent living while my husband receives Level 1 care. There are 5 levels of care including memory care. We are in the Chianti apartment and find it very spacious for 2 people with lots of closets and kitchen cabinets storage areas. It is bright and the floor plan is very open so we feel very comfortable in our beautiful unit. We couldn't be happier. Dining: The dining room is lovely and well appointed. I never miss a meal though nor could anyone walk away hungry because they always have 2 special entrees at each meal as well as the always "Available Menu". The best part of the dining experience is the wait staff who are very friendly and accommodating. I could tell you the names of our servers because they too are friendly and very responsive. They appear very happy to be "serving" us. It is a very relaxing time to talk with other residents and a time to enjoy the meal. Thank you Natasha for the tone and food that we enjoy. Amenities When you check the website, you will find a wealth of information including a very long list of amenities including an exercise room, beautiful theater where movies are played twice a day, Happy Hour (my husband's favorite time) because they have entertainment while relaxing and mingling, a salon and therapy area, spaces for hobbies like art and games, special events and luncheon trips. Believe me, it's no Ritz Carlton....probably not even comparable to a Holiday Inn. However, the Fountains does have a few things going for it: * The activities: bingo, bowling, and sing-a-longs! I felt like I was back at camp...surrounded by lots of old people of course. * The staff: I always hear horror stories of the people who work at nursing homes, but I found the people here to be pretty nice. I feared this was just an act put on for me and my parents, but Mama Ruth raved about them as well. Then again, at 86 she's not too picky about who she hangs out with these days! * The medical treatment: 4 months ago my grandmother was at the worst I've ever seen her. She could hardly stand at my wedding! Now after spending a few months here she's back to being a firecracker. She's walking around and chatting with everyone! In fact, when we first got there she was actually across the street at Walgreen buying lube, but we'll save that disturbing story for a future Walgreens review. I do think my grandma may be one of the better ones in this home (most seem to have serious dementia) and she told me all about her VERY IMPORTANT role as a monitor. If someone happens to fall she's in charge of screaming very loud for help. The fun of getting old...
