The food was very good and the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it did take a bit longer than it should have to get our food. My husband got the pork tacos and I had the fish and chips. With the tacos, be sure to spend the extra on the verde sauce; not sure it would have been very flavorful without it. The fish was very flaky and perfectly cooked. The fries and slaw were ok, but the fish definitely made up for it. Really cool atmosphere. We would eat here again and next time we will save room for dessert. We visited the Cherry Street Pub June 20, 2018 while attending the Great Ohio Bike Adventure, also known as GOBA. We like to support non-chain independent restaurants usually in the downtown area. This Pub fit the bill. The wait for a table went quickly, just 15 minutes. The management was prepared for the increase in business, the staff was friendly and efficient. We were served very quickly and the food was very good. We choose to eat here two evenings, the second time bringing local friends who confessed to never eating at the Pub..even they were impressed with the "Better then just bar food" menu. Much ado about nothing. They are more worried about getting you out the door than you having a good experience. The food is ok but not fantastic and it is way overpriced. Staff at the front of the house are condescending to customers and feel that because people are waiting in line there is no need to be nice they feel they don't have to as people are waiting to get in. Yes really they pretty much said that. The potatoes O'Brian are fried potatoes chunks with onion and peppers yet they have no flavor. My burger ordered medium was seriously so charred it was a brick. I sent it back much to the waitress displeasure. We were inconveniencing her. My husband got the Hot Kentucky Brown which was very good. But the lack of concern or apology that we didn't get to eat together wasn't there. And I felt rushed when she brought the second burger out - like here ya go hurry up and free up the table. We tried this place three different times. "All sizzle but no steak so to speak". Not really interested in a return visit to pay for condescending staff to treat you like you should be the one who is grateful to get the pleasure of eating there. When I went to the Cherry Street Pub, my grandmother had mold on her bread and was disgusted. When we talked to the owner, she wasn't even going to take the meal off of her bill and instead wanted to rectify the mistake by offering a desert. We will not be back. read more

I admit I can not review them on food or drinks. I went in early on a Saturday night with a date who is mildly handicapped. They can not sit on a bar shoot or tall chair but low tables work ok.. The place was not even half full but because they had only a couple 6 seat low tables open and no 2 or 4 seat ones, they refused to seat us at one of the larger tables. Initially it was just a "We can not" and they were polite but then managers were sent by when we explained this made us unhappy. Now we are told that they would do what ever they could to make us happy- except seat us.... After being told several times that a 2 or 4 seat table would open soon and it not happening we decided to leave. I checked my watch as we walked out. We had waited almost 30 minutes. In that time only 2 couples had walked in and if we were seated we would have probably been gone by the time three .. yes three ..large groups showed up. Might be the worst experience I have ever had in a bar or restaurant and I eat out often. It also made date night SUCK. Thank heaven for the little dive diner around the corner who were very nice and had decent food and well were NICE. read more

Went for dinner and enjoyed the fried shrimp with fries. Very good and the shrimp were crispy and large. Coleslaw was bland and needs more flavor. My husband had the pork taco and liked the flavor of his dish....portions were good. The atmosphere and decor is casual yet not boring. The wait staff were very pleasant and knew the menu. This is a nice pub and was full on a Wednesday at five o'clock. Great place and nice addition to Lancaster. Beer selection great also. read more

The owners of the pub are amazing. They bent over backwards for my group of friends that I had to bring to try cherry street pub. Food is awesome and prices are not horrible but the creme puff is not a creme puff more of a pudding puff. I had a talk to the owner about that and she said that they are working on it . Cherry Street Pub is a perfect cure for Lancasters lack of non corporate Date Night restraunts. Food was fabulous, moderetly inexpensive. The Steaks were very high priced, so I hadn't blackened chicken Mac n cheese, and my wife had the Brisket. The wait was long, and only had 4 actual floor level tables. Being in a wheelchair, we waited nearly 50 minutes. I gave 4 stars because of that. read more

Cherry Street Pub was worth our 45 minute drive!! A nice place with a lot of character! They have an excellent selection of craft beers on tap, but the best is their Cherry Street Ale! We had a very bad experience attempting to have dinner at 5:30 pm in this restaurant this evening. I called ahead and was told there wasn't a wait and they didn't do call ahead or take reservations. I asked for a low table for two and was advised there would be a short wait. After 15 minutes waiting I asked if we could be seated at one of the 3 empty larger tables because I am a handicapped person unable to climb up on a tall bar table or climb into a small booth. A manager was sent to speak to me and seemed surprised they had 3 empty larger low tables. She went to check, never returned, and finally another manager came to explain that they couldn't possibly seat us at any of those tables but if we could just wait until someone at table 10 finished their dinner they would happily seat us because they wanted us to have a great evening with them. She stressed she just knew larger parties might show up and be unhappy they had to wait. We stayed another few minutes before leaving. read more
