The driver, Max, was on time (well, I-405 on time if you know what I mean). He loaded the SUV onto the flatbed and within 10 minutes we were on the road. I asked to ride along as I had no other convenient way to get to HB. Max and I had a great and enjoyable conversation along the way. We arrived in HB at almost the exact time I wanted. He unloaded the SUV in 5 minutes and left. The whole process was efficient, and I thought fairly priced. Great experience. This company does not follow statues/regulations set by the state. Please know your rights and sue this company for not following proper protocols. Not only that but this company is not even verified with the BBB. Also my car had a tire with low air upon arrival but that is the least of my concerns when the law is being broken.

I was in full cosplay and looked like a freak I'm sure, but triple AAA updated me that they would take 80 minutes to get there. I was annoyed, but then it quickly went down to only like 20 minutes, enough for me to eat a little bit at the local restaurant and then walk back to the structure just as the towing company got there. Despite it being a small and crowded tight parking structure with lots of people leaving and going, Philip was super patient, helpful and went back and forth from my car to his truck to move it when people had to leave. He checked the battery life and jumped it. Sadly, there was only like 4% of battery life left. He could change the battery for me and I'd get warranty on it too. I did the price comparison on Google and with the labor and new battery and the quickness and convenience it was truly worth it since every where else would take longer and cost more and then I would not even be able to go to the convention afterwards. I chose to change my battery then and there and it didn't take too long either. Philip was courteous and informative too with all of my simple questions. I just had to change the clock and radio stations after, but now my car is good to go! I was being a doom pilled pessimismcel so I'm glad this went super smoothly and reduced all of the panic and stress that I had.

They said they could and gave me a timeline for working on the vehicle that matched my needs. While I appreciate them getting me in on short notice, they consistently over-promised and under-delivered on when they would be able to work on my vehicle. They were able to diagnose a couple of leaks that they thought were the problem and sent me photos to show me what they were looking at. In the past when I've left my car at this shop for work they sent over a detailed estimate before starting the work, but this time I only received the verbal estimate over the phone. I drive an old car, which isn't worth much, and I did let the person know that I wasn't interested in investing more in repairs than the vehicle is worth. As it was, the two leaks were just over $1K to fix, and I OK'd the work to begin. After fixing the first two leaks, they then came back and told me there was a third leak, which would require a more major repair to the transmission and they would have to have their transmission person (who wasn't there that weekend) send me an estimate the next day. While I understand that it's plausible that the third leak wasn't something they could have originally diagnosed, it felt a bit weird that the photo they used to show me the leak was one of the original photos they had sent before starting any work. If the leak was visible in that photo, I'm unclear why they couldn't have diagnosed it earlier. The added cost of this additional repair definitely tips the scales of worth-it/not-worth-it to repair vs replace this car, so I wish I had had all the information before deciding to make the initial repairs. Unfortunately, despite stabilizing the ATF level, fixing the leaks did not resolve the transmission issue. On a smaller scale, they didn't check or top up the tire pressure, which most mechanics I've gone to have done as a courtesy when working on my vehicle. The day after I picked up my car the tire pressure light went on, and when I checked my tires all four of them had low pressure. It's a small thing, but especially when dealing with expensive mechanical items like cars, the small things matter a lot in creating a sense of security and trust with your mechanic. They did mention that they were under new management since the last time I had been in, which may account for the different experiences.

Last Friday morning (9/23/22), my car wouldn't start on my driveway. It was a work day. I called my employer that I'll show up later due to this problem. I've literally called 6 auto shops in my area and Jake (business owner) was the only person that understood my situation and squeezed me in to the first in line on top of the other 10 cars they're currently servicing. The other 5 auto shops had less cars to service and wouldn't give me the time of day. I brought my car through a towing service and his team diagnosed my car. Jake gave me the option of hovering over the techs as they run their tests and despite me being a nuisance, all of them were not only friendly but also respectful as well as telling me what these tests mean and how it'll figure out the problem. All in all, it turns out there was internal engine damage. It's a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. I've owned the vehicle for 11 years and done zero maintenance (except for oil changes). Time for a new car. As I pulled out my wallet and asked how much I need to pay for the service, Jake hooked me up and said $0. $0!!! (Maybe due to sympathy or pity but I'll take it.) I'm just a stranger to him! I'm a Navy veteran. I've lived all over the country and has been to numerous auto shops and not one of them has treated me the same way as Jake and his team did. I now own a 2013 Nissan Juke. I went so far as to measure the route and discovered it was merely 3.1 miles. Jennifer quoted $65.00 to tow the vehicle and o accepted her terms. The driver arrived 15 minutes late (we agreed 11:45) and after briefly meeting at the prescribed location, determined it was 4 miles to the previously agreed drop off. I tried to reason with Jennifer and offered several maps indicating the 3.1 trip and she refused to acknowledge the distance, refused to honor her original quote and charged me an extra $10 for an additional mile of travel, although it was only .1 miles which she was already aware of.
