We were so excited to go tree shopping, but unfortunately our experience was completely overshadowed by the older woman who helped us. From the very beginning, she was rude, dismissive, and condescending. Every question I asked was met with a response that made me feel like I was being talked down to instead of helped. From what I could tell, they have a decent selection of trees, but after that interaction I wasn't even able to enjoy looking around because I just wanted to leave. My husband has been there before and says everyone else has always been friendly, so I'm trying not to judge the entire business based on one employee. I was looking for the ever sweet pomegranate because my friend's mother used to have one and it was so sweet, with small seeds that were edible making eating it so easy. Apparently, not all nurseries carry it so I was happy to find it at Cherry Valley Nursery - hopefully it will taste the same as it did in my memories when the first fruit is ready. I also have to commend the customer service of the nursery as one of the big pots they delivered we discovered a couple weeks later had cracks in it when we finally got around to using it and they were willing to replace it and deliver a new one. I had 2 barrels, one with plants from here and one from Home Depot. They were watered exactly the same by our sprinkler system. The nursery plants died while the HD ones thrived. When I showed them my pictures and receipt she said they were not getting enough water. When I told her the plant dish underneath was full of water she said they were overwatered watered. In the past couple years my husband and I have become obsessed with roses, and then we subsequently became obsessed with Cherry Valley Nursery! We have two homes with over 150 rose bushes, which meant MANY trips to this nursery to load up as we decide to enlarge our gardens over and over again. The amount of roses to choose from is staggering, all organized in alphabetical order which makes it easy to swoop in and find the exact one I'm looking for as I did today. There is a gentleman named Christopher that works there and is our Rose Guru; he knows the temperaments and qualities of every rose in the nursery which is very helpful as we decide which roses will be planted in the desert and which will be planted in the mountains. It is just a gorgeous place to walk around on a sunny day, with all the colorful flowers and little vignettes of ponds and decor smiling around you. Cherry Valley Nursery is my happy place! It's 3 miles from our house in Beaumont so that is really nice. The staff are all very friendly, everyone greets you and ask if you need help with anything. Their plant selection is amazing! The prices are great. My last trip this past Saturday I found and immediately put on my cart a beautiful Lavender Lady Lilac for just under $50. She is gorgeous and very healthy. It is a MUST visit! My next trip I will be concentrated on their roses section, mainly the climbers. read more

We love going to this nursery. Thank you to Jose who helped us the first time we came 3 weeks ago and to Rey, today ~ both for their excellent help in picking up our trees. We're also educated in how to choose, plant and take care of them. We got a dozen of fruit trees all in all plus the soil booster for planting. Lots of choices and we felt really taken care of. They have everything you could want in bulk materials but !!!! For instance steer manure they call dairy is $45 a cubic yard. At One Stop its $16. So its worth the driving over to get 3 times the amount for nearly the same price. I have shopped for plants and trees here they have a good selection. Wow!! I have driven by here probably four or five hundred times over the last 35-ish years, and finally stopped in recently. What a joy this place is! The entire staff is super helpful and friendly, the product selection is huge, with an amazing array of clay pottery, annuals, and succulents.
