My son was seen by Dr Rowan and when asked about vaccines I said we will be doing a waiver. He stated he doesn't know if a religious waiver will be valid going forward, that schools and sports might not accept a waiver for meningococcal vaccine. At the end of the appointment he told me to find another office, that he believes in giving the highest stand of care and that includes vaccines. I asked if it was just his belief or the whole office's belief to see if I just needed to change doctors at that office or find a new office all together. He informed me that I needed to find a new office. I don't understand how a doctor who is suppose to help can deny you as a patient based on your religious belief to not have a voluntary injection which the state DOES have a waiver for. I'm glad he was at least honest so I can find a provider who will respect their patients religious beliefs.

FACT: Most people with an infectious disease did NOT follow Generally Accepted Safety Procedures and that's how they ended up infected in the first place. I've been a patient for 6 years and have never been infected with a communicable disease. Why: Because I am Compliant! I may have missed 5 daily doses in 6 years (2,190 days). If you are not going to be compliant, you are wasting your and Dr. Rabah's time. I've delt with the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins Hospitals. Dr. Rabah has been a Great Advocate for me. In return, I have been extremely Compliant because that is My Job! Medicine is Partnership and if you refuse to participate, you are wasting everyone's time. I hate to be brutally honest. Dr. Rabah is a Fantastic Doctor and a Great Advocate, but you must do your part.

After a hospital stay from the issues, my doctors from Johns Hopkins and PennMedicine decided on a plan for me to be able to continue chemo. Either Dr Rabah didn't read the notes or didn't get them, but either way she would not listen to my explanation of why I was taking meds differently than she had planned. She told me that she would no longer treat me, and to go find a new doctor. She chastised me made and made me feel awful. I was upset for days. She was rude and condescending. My medical condition is very stressful, this was the last thing I needed. My oncologist agrees.

I have been a patient at Ingleside Medical for years and have generally had positive experiences,…read morebut my most recent visit was extremely disappointing and ultimately led me to wanting to switch providers. I visited the office for a routine annual exam and TB test required for my new job. As someone who has worked in the education field for many years, I am very familiar with this process and the required paperwork. During my first visit on a Tuesday, I met with the PA to complete my annual exam and received my TB test from the nurse. This visit was very positive--I felt comfortable, and both the PA and nurse were communicative and professional. As required, I returned 48 hours later on Thursday for the TB test reading and brought the necessary employment paperwork for completion. At that time, I was informed that the paperwork could not be completed because the PA who conducted my exam was not on site. I was asked to return another day to pick up the signed forms. While this was frustrating, I understood the need for appropriate signatures. A few days later, I received a call stating that my paperwork could not be completed without my immunization history and that I would need to return for additional immunizations. Although I was frustrated this was not identified during my initial visit, I scheduled a third appointment and returned the following week. At this third visit, I expected to either receive my completed paperwork or obtain any necessary immunizations. Instead, after waiting in the reception area, I was brought into an exam room near the entrance and was immediately instructed to prepare for a blood draw. This was unexpected and had not been previously communicated to me. As someone who has a history of fainting during blood draws, I typically prepare in advance when they are required. I asked the nurse for clarification, explaining that my paperwork did not indicate a need for blood work and that I had only been told I may need updated immunizations. The nurse responded briefly that it was required for my annual exam and left the room abruptly, leaving me seated with medical supplies exposed and the door open. She did not return for several minutes, during which time multiple staff members walked by. This situation made me feel uncomfortable and exposed. When the nurse returned, she stated that they did not have my paperwork and that the blood draw was still required. I again attempted to clarify that I was there to pick up completed paperwork documenting my TB test and annual exam. The nurse left again and later returned with the PA. The PA addressed me from the doorway and stated that I must have "misheard" previous instructions and that a blood test was required due to missing immunization records. I explained that this had not been communicated during my prior visit and that I had completed similar employment health forms multiple times in the past without this requirement. I also offered to obtain my immunization records from a previous provider if needed. Despite this, both the PA and nurse maintained that they had no record of my paperwork and that they could only provide TB test documentation. Throughout this interaction, I felt dismissed and as though I was being treated as noncompliant, despite my efforts to clarify the situation. Additionally, these conversations took place in an open area, which did not provide a sense of privacy. Following their instructions, I left the office with only my TB test results and a handwritten fax number to resend my employment paperwork. Shortly after leaving, I received a call from the front desk asking me to return, as they had my completed paperwork available. When I returned, the front desk staff--who were polite and helpful--provided me with my fully completed forms, including TB test verification and immunization documentation. They also expressed confusion as to why I had been asked to schedule an appointment, as the paperwork had been ready for pickup. This experience was extremely frustrating due to the lack of communication, inconsistent information, and the manner in which I was treated during my visit. I felt unheard, uncomfortable, and unnecessarily put through multiple appointments and conflicting instructions. While I have not had issues in the past, this experience has significantly impacted my confidence in the practice and has led me to seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Gottleib and his assistant were super friendly and have excellent bedside manners. I would…read morerecommend Dr. Gottlieb to anyone with any type of skin conditions that need to be looked at. Dr. Gottlieb was direct and to the point, which is what I prefer when discussing health issues. Also, the staff - I don't remember the man's name at the check-in station but he was also very friendly for 7:30am on a Monday! My only complaint, and this is more of a mention than a complaint - was the assistant we saw prior to Dr. Gottlieb. She wasn't very personable but she got the job done - which is what she's is there for I suppose. 5 stars for this office and well-deserved.
