Yesterday, was not my first time here, but one of many. I only resided in Anthony for about 18 months. Post 122 provided me a place I could go to decompress and swap military stories with fellow veterans and their guests. I recently stopped by a couple of months ago, after I moved to El Paso, just to see how things were and to my amazement the place was remodeled. They finally added an AMI jukebox, to include the ability to run credit and debit cards. In addition, they've also installed a pool table as well. The bar itself seats about 10-15 people and there's tables in the general area. Parking is great and have handicapped stalls directly in the front. There is a rental hall, which is quite large. I've posted a picture of the rental hall information. I'm very pleased to see this post come around. This McDonald's was busy with the drive-thru that is on the left hand side of the Love's Travel Stop. The staff was so nice and even had jokes to spare despite the inflow of travelers. They were all smiles and professionals, which really made the difference for me after so much time on the road. I really appreciated that. If you order a drink, they will hand it to you instead of you going to the soda fountains, but make sure you request it. I personally prefer them handing me the clean cup. Also, straws and napkins are in sealed plastic. The restaurant itself wasn't as clean as it could have been. The tables needed a good wipe down. Otherwise, there wasn't any real debris left out. The food was also kind of rubbery, but I'll be honest and say I didn't care much about taste so much as sustenance at that point. I just needed to eat while I looked forward to another eight hours on the road. So if you're looking for something fast, this is perfect. If you have super high standards, I would normally say go for something else, but in this mindset, I think if you're traveling, get over your high standards and just grab the food. I've been to far worse, and this was actually okay.
