Dr. Mcnamara saved my life. She is the best!…read more 2021 was a tough year for many people and probably the most difficult year for me personally. In summer 2021, I started having unknown reason fever and rashes for weeks and I even go admitted to hospital for over a week without any diagnosis. When I was so desperate and felt hopeless, Dr. Mcnamara arrived in hospital and checked me 5 am in the morning multiple times. She was so professional, careful, considerable and confident. She gave me tremendous help and encouraged me things were under control. She quickly made my treatment plan and got me out of hospital in several days! Since my condition needs more treatment in the following months. I regularly visited her office. Every time, I felt better and better based on the treatment she gave me. Without a doubt, Dr. Mcnamara's 20 years practice on this high professional level is a blessing to all patients she has helped! I want to say thank you again! She is also flexible on time, on communication methods. I could easily call her whenever I need any advices or I had any questions. She would just call me back and patiently answers all my questions. I have never met a doctor like this before in my life! Last but not least, Dr. Mcnamara makes patient feel comfortable. She makes you feel that you are not only talking to a super capable and excellent doctor but also a long time friend. She remembers about your conditions, she cares about your feelings and your life. Her treatment plan to patient is so well designed based on YOUR situation, not a same template to everyone. All in all, Dr. Mcnamara is an angel to her patients. I could not say more to express my huge gratitude her!

Thank you, Dr. McNamara: My heart-felt appreciation for making my successfully treatment plan, in a word, miraculous. It began with a competent and personable doctor who provided a comprehensive evaluation and prescribed an aggressive plan of action. The team Dr. McNamara compiled were the best in the industry and provided excellent care and support. Always testing, cross checking, and personally following up on results. The office environment is relaxing and assuring. It made me feel safe and at home. Sunip, also deserve recognition as she supports Dr. McNamara. They make a great team and are extremely responsive. In short, Dr. McNamara literally saved my life. Words can't describe the faith and trust I have in her skill and ability. Forever grateful.

Although I haven't had any autoimmune symptoms, my family history of multiple autoimmune diseases was another reason she wanted me to see one. I saw Dr. Fellows in May and had a great appointment. Very nice, funny, and intelligent doctor! He spent a lot of time explaining things and didn't talk down to me in any way. When I told him I'm taking pre-reqs to apply to medical school next year and ask my doctors lots of questions, he should that I should ask questions. I have seen doctors in the past who get defensive when I've asked questions so I'm glad he is not one of them. Best of all, he did not hesitate to give me his honest opinion that he was skeptical one of my former (awful) doctors took my weight loss seriously. He also agreed with me that the two conditions I was misdiagnosed with were NOT causing my symptoms. So amazing to have my horrible experience with my former doctor validated by someone with firsthand experience! As I suspected, he didn't think the my weight loss was autoimmune related. If I ever need a rheumatologist in the future, I would totally go back to him. As someone who has PTSD from upsetting experiences with male doctors and prefers women, this says A LOT. While I'd give Dr. Fellows himself 5 stars, I'd give 3.5 stars to the office staff. I hate that they turn the phone off for 1.5 hours. While I know it's not unusual for practices to take a lunch break (we try to where I work), I should at least be able to leave a message. I had to call multiple times to schedule the appointment due to being on hold. It also took a little over two weeks to get the results of a test he ordered (which fortunately was negative). The staff I encountered the day of the appointment were friendly.

Unprofessional, dismissive, and completely lacking empathy…read more I called to schedule an urgent appointment due to severe, sudden-onset rheumatological pain. After waiting on hold for over an hour and a half, the first representative (whom I later found out is named Julie) was incredibly curt. When I asked if there was anything sooner, she scolded me for not visiting in two years and snapped "no." When I asked for her name and a manager, she hung up on me. I called back, only for a second rude representative to answer. She claimed she overheard the call, defended Julie, and accused me of being rude. When I asked for her name and a manager, she also refused and hung up on me. However, she slipped up and mentioned she "sits next to Julie," giving away the first scheduler's name. Having managed a call center myself for many years, I am appalled by this behavior. I was understandably frustrated after a 90-minute hold while in severe pain, but hanging up on a hurting patient twice is unacceptable. I truly hope management reviews these recorded calls. Staff working in a medical department need to show basic empathy and a desire to help patients, not treat them like an inconvenience. I still have no idea if my appointment was even booked. Option 2: Short and Punchy Best if you want a quicker read that hits all the main points instantly. Awful customer service. Double hung up on while in severe pain. After waiting on hold for 1.5 hours while dealing with severe, sudden rheumatological issues, I was met with pure hostility. The first scheduler, Julie, was snappy and scolded me for not being seen in two years. When I asked for a manager, she hung up. I called back and the second representative defended Julie, refused to give her own name, refused a manager, and hung up on me again. As a former call center manager, I know this is a massive training and behavioral failure. Management needs to pull the tapes for these calls. Medical staff should treat patients with empathy, not hostility--especially when they are calling in pain. I don't even know if I have an appointment.

I met with Dr. Jacobs on December 12 to go over the changes so we could get the ball rolling and not have a delay in my immune treatment which I require every 3 weeks to stay healthy due to a serious immune disorder. He assured me that it would be handled well. Then almost month later I call back and find out nothing has been done. The office didn't have a new script from the Dr. The contract worker they had hired to deal with insurance benefits at the office still didn't know I had a new pharmacy benefits provider. She was trying to order the old medication from the old benefits provider. So I spent the next two weeks on the phone for entire days - leaving messages, waiting on hold, coordinating between nursing staff (bc the dr was now on vacation), the independent contractor who didn't understand my insurance change, my pharmacy benefits provider and the pharmacy filing the order. Babysitting grown adults who are getting paid to apparently not do their jobs. The office at first admitted to dropping the ball, then they each slowly started to blame other people in the office and I realized what a toxic dysfunctional mess the whole operation was. Perhaps they once were good - the vast majority of these five star reviews are many years old. Today, I think they can handle routine allergy shots. That's their bread and butter. Anything more is a deep stretch for their abilities. In the end I finally got my medication two weeks late and it would have been even later if I hadn't borrowed a medical pump to use from a complete stranger. This was an incredibly stressful process that would have been avoided if people at this office understood how to do their jobs.
