I was told my mom needed a bone density but on the order it didn't state where she should get this done nor did the receptionist suggest a facility. I called their office and the first time they picked up and hung up on me. I called back and was put on hold for 10mins and someone picked up and hung up again. I then called back for the 3rd time and they turned off their phones at 4:45pm. Horrible patient care. I work at UCSF and I would never treat patients like this. I need to request for another rheumatologist for my mom which is unfortunate because the doctor was kind but staff is horrible. They need to fire their unprofessional staff and hire people who really care for patients.

From my very first visit, Dr. Padula took the time to truly listen, understand my concerns, and explain my condition in a way that was clear and compassionate. He's incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and up to date on the latest treatments for rheumatologic conditions. What stands out most is his genuine care for his patients. Dr. Padula never makes me feel rushed -- he takes the time to answer every question and ensures I feel comfortable with each step of my treatment plan. Thanks to his expertise and guidance, my symptoms are finally under control, and I feel hopeful about my long-term health. The office staff is also wonderful -- friendly, organized, and responsive, which makes every visit smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for a rheumatologist who is not only brilliant in his field but also compassionate and patient-centered, I highly recommend Dr. Padula. He's truly the best!

When it was still DVNMG, I was referred to an amazing MD, Dr. Brad Volpi, who was compassionate, kind, and responsive -- a seasoned MD. Thanks to Dr. Volpi's recommended vitamin supplements, rather than medication, I finally found relief from my daily migraines! Who knew that allopathic medical professionals also advocate for naturopathic remedies?! Since Dr. Volpi's retirement in 2018, I had to select a new MD for a follow up, so I chose Dr. Robert Algar. Dr. Algar is knowledgable, respectful, and thorough. It's impressive how he immediately dictates his notes into a microphone during the appointment, so that he does not miss any information. The staff are professional, polite, and efficient. They are always great on the phone, during check in, and at check out. I have never felt like I'm just another patient to staff; the treatment has been respectful and personalized. I appreciate that there is a separate door at reception to go into appointments, and a separate door to depart after your appointment, which leads you straight to the elevators. The billing department has also been helpful and quick to resolve billing needs. The building has a large private parking lot with over 200 spaces, including multiple disabled parking spots near the building's front doors. Another plus is a drop off area directly at the front doors for patients who are in wheelchairs or who need to be dropped off by a special service.
