We were on a road trip from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City when, about halfway into the drive, the battery light came on. We pulled into Beaver around 7:30 p.m. and stopped at an auto parts store to have the battery tested. By pure chance, I ran into Rick, the owner of Beaver Valley Chevron, who was there buying parts at the same time. I asked him when his shop closed, and he casually said, "Whenever I go home -- sometimes as late as 2:00 a.m." He told me to meet him at the shop and said he'd take care of us. I had my entire family in the car, and Rick immediately understood the situation. He gave me a reasonable quote, got started right away, and had his crew replace the alternator and serpentine belt quickly and professionally. They were finished in about an hour while we waited at Dairy Queen, and then we were safely back on the road. I truly could not be more grateful. Rick and his team were professional, courteous, and honest -- and they absolutely did not take advantage of the fact that we were travelers in a stressful, vulnerable situation. It genuinely felt like divine providence running into him at that auto parts store that night. The total was $733 for an alternator and serpentine belt replacement, which felt very fair given the circumstances and late hour. They even cleaned my windshield for me -- and as a bonus, the shop has a very friendly cat who loves scritches . If you're anywhere near Beaver and need automotive help, I highly recommend Beaver Valley Chevron. Honest, fair, efficient, and kind -- a rare combination these days. I broke down outside of Beaver and had my car towed to the shop by Rick who is also the mechanic. I had to wait for about a week for parts. And I saw Rick help so many people with car problems. He worked until everybody was taken care of and was back at 6 am to take care of traveller's in need. Rick is an amazing person that cares and does whatever it takes to help stranded traveller's on there way. What a pleasure to meet such a great human being. The rest of the staff are great. I'm from St. George and I've stopped at this Chevron religiously because of the great treatment you get at the pump. NOT ANYMORE!!!! I have family relocating to Beaver so I have been visiting this gas station a lot more lately. I've always tipped the window washers extremely well every time. So, yesterday I pulled in and every pump had a car but, one. So, I pulled in got out of my car and there were 3 attendants washing windows. Two younger guys and one older gentleman. All three were going from car to car as usual washing windows and greeting customers. Well guess what? My windshield was covered with bugs just like everyone else there. All three looked at me, and moved on to someone else. I went in to grab a drink and watched the entire time to see if someone would aid me also in washing my windshield. NOT ONE!!!!! Here's another side note!! I was the only colored person fueling up at the time. YOU BE THE JUDGE! HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? How would you feel if this was your son or daughter? To say, I was extremely let down is an understatement. I was at the gas station around 5:30-6:00 PM. As I drove away, I knew this was the last time I would ever darken their door. It's sad that it's 2025, and we still can't move past the color of one's skin. read more

I was driving home to Los Angeles from Midway and originally, I was hoping to have enough fuel to get me into St George, but I did not. So I exited the freeway in Beaver to get gas at this gas station. I paid at the pump and started filling up my tank. I noticed a guy came up to my car, said hi, and started cleaning my windshield. He told me that I could go inside to get out of the wind and he would finish pumping the gas for me. I checked to see if I had pulled into a full service pump. Nope, it said self service. So I asked if this was a full service station. He replied that he was only helping out wherever he could. I finished pumping the gas and thanked him for cleaning my windshield. It was pretty filthy from all of the bug splatter! I guess that I've lived in Los Angeles for far too long and just not used to friendly people and excellent customer service! read more

Ditto one of the last reviews--Rick at this Chevron is GREAT! We broke down near Beaver at 3am. Shell attendant recommended Chevron for a fix. Called at 8am and Rick said to head over. He identified the problem (blown water pump) within minutes and was on the phone to find us a part. He had the part within the hour and we were on the road again within an hour and a half. On top of Rick being a superhero, all the other gas agents were friendly and were always working to maintain and clean the area around the station. We will absolutely stop here every time we pass through now just to fill up, get our windows cleaned and to thank Rick again for saving our trip. read more

My truck's steering got tough about a mile north of this shop. I pulled up to a gas pump to check the power steering fluid and found a snapped belt hanging in the engine. A gas attendant greeted me and directed me to the service center. Within a few minutes Rick the Mechanic came over to me and diagnosed the problem as a seized pulley. Within 15 minutes he had the parts delivered to him. Within another 15 minutes the old pulley was off and the new one was on with the new belt. He quoted me at a fair rate for the parts and his labor. No gouging or dishonesty. Very friendly and welcoming all throughout the process. Beyond impressed by this shop. Could've been very easy for them to jack their labor rate being in the tough position that I was in. read more
