These guys are ridiculous. The young kid with the goofy haircut especially. Come here every week or so for a pack of cigarettes and a car wash. All the staff have seen my face numerous times. I had a rough night at home and come for a pack of smokes but as soon as I parked I realized I forgot my ID. I'm 38 years old. I don't look 21 or in my 20s period. I had a picture of it on my phone, FRONT AND BACK, having just got a new job. He even willingly takes his scanner and scans the back FROM THE PHOTO, so it even worked. Then denies me the pack. Says he can't do it without my ID then WHY BOTHER SCANNING IT?!!!!!? I told him I just saw you last week, and you saw me then with my ID. And you JUST SCANNED IT. But still refuses. Don't bother coming here unless you want the third degree every fuc*ing time you want to buy cigarettes. This place is a joke. They take their job too seriously as if you're at a bar trying to buy alcohol and need to show a bartender an actual ID. I'll take my business elsewhere. Their car wash sucks too. YOU NEVER GET YOUR CAR DRIED WITH THEIR WEAK AF DRYER. You'll end up still having to dry the car yourself because 1/3 of it will be left wet! read more

Be aware whenever you are purchasing or redeeming lottery tickets because I am quite upset with my recent experience in the store. There is a relatively new employee working here that I don't trust as far as I can throw her. On two occasions I experienced problems with purchasing and redeeming lottery tickets. FYI, after speaking to several of my friends they have had problems with the same individual also. Example 1: I purchase three scratch tickets and 6 quick pick lottery tickets. She gave me my scratch tickets, I picked them up off the counter and put them in my envelope while she was ringing me up. She asked me if I needed anything else and I said yes I would like to have my quick pick lottery tickets. She argued with me stating I already picked up the tickets and I told her I did not. She said she was going to check the video tape, came back with her phone and proceeded to show me the tape. While she was checking the videotape, I noticed the tickets under a small pile of cashier receipts on her register, which I pointed out to her. She said "oh these tickets" and handed them to me stating she was very busy and forgot. Example 2: I cashed in two scratch tickets worth $110 and a Powerball winning ticket for $10. After purchasing additional quick pick lottery tickets and additional scratch tickets, she gave me $30 back. I questioned her about my Powerball winning ticket and again she argued with me about my scratch ticket winnings. Again, I noticed the ticket under a pile of old scratch tickets near the lottery machine and questioned her. She went through the tickets and said I was correct. She owes me additional $10...did not provide an excuse. I'm not upset that she knowing lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe her (lost my trust) and I will never have her cash me out again. read more

The young man working the counter was very nice. But the carwash is completely useless. Luckily I only got the regular $10 wash. Otherwise the waxes & clear coat protectant would have been on top of all the dirt left on my car. This is the worst car wash I have ever gone to. I dont expect the drive thru washes to be perfect but this is way beyond bad. read more

I have noticed that this chevron has the lowest prices of all the chevrons in the area by about 10-12 cents. Luckily it is the closest one to where I live. They have a lot of pumps so you don't have to wait and try have a really nice store that i have noticed is open late. There is a car wash at this location l, sometimes it is closed/under maintenance which is a little inconvenient but the good thing is if you buy a car wash you have a while to use it. read more

Just walked into this Chevron and the kid behind the counter is yelling at older man to get out who apparently already paid for gas but his car didn't take all of the prepaid amount and the kid is telling him he won't do anything for the old man because he doesn't have his mask on right. The old man must have told him 10 times that the strap broke when he took it off to pump gas and he's doesn't another one but would hold it against his face but the kid still refused to help the poor guy. I got the old man a new mask and then the kid refused to help me saying he can refuse service to anyone. Fuck this Chevron... will be reviewing past complaints of this Chevron and discussing at our next city counsel meeting read more

I've been a resident here for close to 4 years and usually when I go, the service is pretty good. However, when I went this time, it made me consider not coming back. I went to get my car washed and the dryer was broken on the left side and my car only dried on the right side. Considering the fact that I have a foot injury, I didn't want to get out to have to dry my car (which is why I went to a hands free car wash). I went inside of the store to let them know and to see if there's anything they can do and they told me to go back and to get the towels and to dry the whole left side of my car by hand. If I'm paying to get my car washed and dried, why would I hand dry my own car? I have loved the service here over the years but am disappointed in the service I received and don't suggest this location if you're looking to get your car washed. If I wanted to get out and dry my car by hand, I would have stayed home to do so. read more

Some of their pumps are not only dirty, but there's an issue with the pumps keypads, namely, there are no audibles when depressing the numbers. Consequently, I ended up entering several numbers more than twice, but that's not my major concerns. I am age 66 and my gray hair clearly indicates that I am old enough to purchase Lottery items, nevertheless, I get carded every-time and I've noticed that this is seemingly the only Station in Contra-Costa County where the Store Clerks will asked the customer for their birthday before selling Lottery tickets or Scratchers? It seems like they have a friendlier staff since my last review. Better attitude. GAS IS GAS.. What ever. But when you go inside at least look me in the eye. So I go in at least 7 times a week and you get some unfriendly women. They don't look at you in the eye and barely converse. Seriously. Take it and Go! Went there today with my motorcycle helmet on visor open and assistant manager "Mel" advised me that next time i need to have my helmet off before i enter her store. I asked her where it says that because ive never been told this before and she said youre wearing a mask and im the assistant manager laughing with a smirk. If there was a sign that said helmets off or no servive i would by all means respect their call. I understand the right to refuse service but dont tell me this as youre giving me my change because i have the right to not spend my hard-earned money where i want to as well. If you need your car washed DO NOT GO HERE. The car wash is frequently broken and when it is supposed to be working, often the rinse cycle doesn't work so your car leaves covered in soap. The attendant is rude and not helpful. Make sure you get a receipt otherwise he will treat you like a crook. if i could rate a 0 i would. I buy gas here every morning because it is right around the corner from my house. I borrowed my moms car to fix her tire pressures tonight and since i always go here i figured it would be a quick trip no hassle. I was told that i needed to buy something to turn the air on for one tire which i understand but I buy coffee every morning with gas and he even recognized me from earlier today and every other day but said he would not turn on the air unless i bought something now. i didnt have any cash on me and he replied "too bad" and walked away. Not the first problem with him either. pulled up one night after work very late not one car there and had to transfer money to my card to get gas. he comes over the loud speaker and says i cant sit there loitering and if i didnt leave he would call the cops*(should have been the first sign to not come back) was there for 3 minutes in my car which anyone there would recognize. To be honest i drove to the chevron in downtown brentwood and before i even got out of my car i heard the air compressor turn on and the lady who ive never seen before waved at me through the window. some of staff are friendly but they are constantly short handed so if you dont have an issue or need assistance then its "Ok" but if you were to have an issue there youd be screwed. the lot and garbage cans are always over flowing and cooler is half empty all the time or just empty. this station needs better management and to be pointed in the right direction of how a businees is suppose to be ran. read more
