I attempted to purchase a carwash today, but the credit card slot was broken. I didn't know it was broken until after I put my card in, and it got stuck. It took me about ten minutes to get my card out of the machine. When I went into the gas station to inform them what happened, they said the carwash was closed for today (??) Be Careful with an employee by the name of Gigi. This person was abusive, disrespectful, and dishonest. He/She short-changed me and, with the disrespect and abuse encouraged the line behind my to harrass me. I did not get a receipt, my correct change, and was humiliated and told to get out. This person stated I always do this to him/her. I have not been to this Chevron in about a year. Make sure to pay with a card instead of cash. This person does not know math well, and you will get abused if you request your correct change. read more

I visit this Terrible Herbst a lot because of its great location, but also because the staff is always kind and the store stock s a lot of products. I especially like when Marvin is working because he is so nice, but also he's really efficient. It seems to take forever for most employees to replace empty creamer or soda or coffee, but he can do it in no time at all. read more

Conveniently located on the corner of Buffalo and Cheyenne, I like to stop by this gas station when I fill up my car at night. The lighting is very good and the pump area is wide open so that you can see very easily. Safety is important to me and this one is the most safe for late night fill ups. There are other amenities here as well.....convenience store, small car wash, video poker machines. The brand of gas is Chevron and it is competitively priced close to the lowest price in the neighborhood. I will return when I'm out and about and need a late night fill. read more

Zero stars, I came here to get my wife's truck serviced because I always got my cars done by them first I went to my east side location on Nellis and Charleston and I asked for the same great guy who always helps me and I was told with a laughter by the new manager "Ha he's no longer with us thank god'" I just looked at him and then he turns to a worker and say she thinks *****(name ) was a good service manager and they both laughed and the new manager said do you want service or not? I said not with this type of attitude he said well back out I have other customers who would so I left and went to this Buffalo and Cheyenne location. Nobody was there so I pulled up and then a young man came out I asked are you open? Well duh it's 1 in the afternoon. Ok???? I replied may I get the top off service he replied don't know what that is but if your looking for an oil change I can tell you now for this Jeep it will be $90 I said well normally pay $46 for the top off service and the I tried to explain what it was and he cut me off and said that doesn't exist anymore so it be $90 I will be inside when you make up your mind and walked off. I was appalled in 9 years never had this type of treatment not once but twice in one day. As I got ready to leave the guy walked back out and said oh I know what top off service your referring with the car wash right? I said yes he said pop the hood I'm very skeptical at this point still in shock what just happened so I popped it and he opens halfway closes it and says that will be $90 I said have a great day. Unreal . I went to two jiffy lubes two different days my wife truck and my car. Both locations were great. I took hers to the Fort Apache location by my house awesome service. Even better service at the W Craig location by my car wash place. I ended up at the Craig because I was getting a car wash. For 9 years I had been going to Terrible Herbst and that day for the 1st time I got extremely rude service trying to go to TH in Summerlin by my home and my original location on the east side. That's all it took and I immediately found Jiffy. Brett and Alex were so kind and respectful. They were prompt and the service was fast and excellent. I will definitely be going here for now on both vehicles. I never believed in giving my money to a company that provides piss poor service. I feel my hard earned money is not needed or wanted when service is not right. Terrible Herbst, both locations acted like they were the only car service company to exist like they are NV Energy. "1 company for all people " I give 4 stars because most places provide brake fluid and coolant as part of a top off. Jiffy does windshield fluid. Alex even included the coolant for me. He was phenomenal he gets 5 stars the company 4 due to that. Jiffy is definitely the right place to go. They have won my future service even if I have to pay additional for coolant and break fluid. Alex provided a great reason for the brake fluid not being part of the top off and I totally understand. Thank you Alex Brett and (Dustin (Ft Apache) location for your service, integrity and kindness! I will never get gas or service AGAIN from any Terrible Herbst. This is by far the worst Car Wash experience I have ever had. I have been to plenty of Terrible Herbst's in the Las Vegas valley. I own a business that has 8 vehicles in service and have washed them many times here. This time, I filled up my vehicle and bought the "Ultimate Rx" for an additional $8.00. I went through the car wash and none of the soap sprayers sprayed any soap on my vehicle. No water was sprayed. The rollers just dry-rolled my vehicle! Then at the very end to add insult to injury the soap sprayer sprayed a load of soap on my back glass! Then the dryer proceeded to dry bake my glass until I could get out of that piece of crap. To add additional insult, I went inside to tell the cashier it was broken. Rude little guy named "Marvin" told me "ohp, no refunds, sorry." I tried to explain to him the thing literally did not even attempt to clean my vehicle. He told me I can go through again for free! Why would I want to do that again? Terrible Herbst this kind of stuff is bad for business. You might not care about one little customer angry about a car wash, but you should try listening to customers! I've gotten my oil changed twice here and both times something went wrong the first huge mess up was "somehow magically" a hose was disconnected that caused my car to eat up gas like no one business but yet they tried to me it wasn't their fault and they don't mess with that hose or something after I got sent to a different location to see what went wrong in the end they fixed it but kept trying to place blame on someone or something else the more recent time I gave the benefit of the doubt and thought people mess up no big deal guy didn't go over if I needed more liquids in the car in which I did but the paper said he recommended nope didn't say any words to me other then what are you here for, your done, here's your total but even then they didn't even turn off the light saying I needed an oil change...I ended up going to the dealership to see what was wrong with the car and it was simple someone didn't complete the job again certainly will not be taking my vehicle here again read more

I regularly get drinks here after I get gas. They have items that other gas stations and corner stores don't have. Friendly attendent inside. Functioning card readers for purchasing gas. Never any loitering or sketchy persons hanging around, even at night. A good spot to get gas. read more

I live around the corner from this gas station and was spending about 30 to $35 a day, or in other words about $1,000 a month at this gas station just for gas and the occasional energy drink. I will not be doing so anymore because of the employee, I don't know his name, but he is the one with the slicked back black hair as if it was the 50s. I pulled up to pump number one to put in gas and it said card swipe not available at this time. So I go inside and as I'm inline I let him know hey did you know the card reader on number one isn't allowing the car to go through? His response was there is probably something wrong with number one. He didn't say go try a different pump or anything like that. So then I say what can I put $20 on it from here and she takes my $20 on my card and then I go out to pump number one and it's the whole pump that isn't working. So I go back in and he says I told you there was something wrong with pump number one. And I respond with then why did you take my money? And then he said something Snappy to which I said don't be a dick and put me at number seven instead. I got my gas and Terrible's has now lost my business. read more

I was filling up at my local Smiths store but when my engine started knocking I switched to Chevron with Tecron and it magically disappeared. This location is at the corner of Cheyenne and Tenya and is less than a block from my GFs so I stop here a few times a week for gas, and slurpies and other junk food items. Its well-lit at night so I feel comfortable getting out of my car and pulling out my wallet to use the machines. I had a problem with one of the card readers and the staff was quick to respond and had the gas going in no time. For a gas station what else could you ask for? read more

This is a nice gas station. Everything seems clean inside and out. The store is well stocked and always had Vanilla Coke, which I am addicted to but have such a hard time finding in Vegas. They also have a car wash here that is pretty good for a drive thru style. read more

I just had a most troubling experience at this location. I went thru the car self serve car wash. I paid with credit card declined a receipt and entered. the wash started and quit working after the 2nd cycle. I stayed in their for a couple minutes thinking it would start again. It did not. I entered the store and I then went to the employee Marvin inside and explained my dilemma. I explained that the wash stopped after the 2nd cycle. Marvin then proceeded to say to me you moved the car and it quit. My car was in park and it did not move. Then he said well you pulled up too far inside and you screwed up the sensors. I then explained that doesn't the board tell you if you pulled up too far if its that sensitive? Marvin said no it doesn't. I was like okay it my fault will you please fix it. Marvin then says It doesn't work that way. He was so rude to me and I kept my cool. Perhaps he had a bad day. All I wanted him to do was make it right. I apologized to him for apparently breaking his car wash since now its broken until the guys come in tomorrow and reset the sensors that I screwed up. I stayed silent and stared at him until he realized that I wasn't leaving without some sort of compensation. He then reluctantly gave me a refund. I was able to show on my phone the $12 dollar authorization. I just can not believe he was speaking to me in the way he was snapping at me for nothing. Its just a car wash. I will be calling the corporate office tomorrow and speaking to someone about Marvin at 7300 W. Cheyenne Ave and his terrible attitude. Marvin's gestures seemed like normal behavior and I do not think he thinks he did anything wrong. Marvin really needs to realize that his attitude towards people will lose money for this company. I hope everyone that reads this will think twice before using a car wash here since it seems that they are easily broken and it is not guaranteed to work apparently. Had to go here after my debacle at Rebel. Lady was very nice, and had other people complain to her about the floor situation at Rebel. This place is a lot cleaner than Rebel is overall a better choice. The gas prices are a little higher, but it's better quality gas than at Rebel too. read more

Went in today after...bad for me again. Even after I left countless messages for Steven the manager or owner on how an older lady treated my son, I had to admit I am a creature of habit and it's close to home. Eugene...another untrained employee who Told another customer he didn't know what he was doing being I was being rude. Unprofessional and far from the truth. First he had no ideal what he was doing, nothing to do with me. He asked me what I needed and I asked if they had the Chevron pre paid gas cards...then another almost 3 minutes of silence so I said I guess customer service is not you guys thing..Eugene proceed to tell me I was rude and he was trying to see why he couldn't run the register as he's holding a hand full of money and coins. The customer behind me looked like I did puzzled and I said oh I guess because I'm not the angry black woman he had to make up something. Another employee came from the back to show him what he did wrong and I left without a pre paid card or an apology becaus Eugene does not have customer service skills and I am wondering who is suppose to train their employees. This time I will try corporate and see if they respond. By the way...I'm not rude and one of the most calm people you will ever meet...just show a little Aloha even when they are the ones being Rude to you. I won't be back, there are plenty of gas stations that I would rather give my money too. As a former business owner to another...get rid of the dead weight, I will say Eugene first. Rolled in for sundries and found this particular location of the Terrible Herbst (TH) empire to be spacious and pleasant. If you have lived in Vegas for any substantial you know what I am talking about. It all depends on the location, in whatever part of town you live in....odds are you have visited a TH. BUT ONLY if you use the car wash right away or within a week... the car wash has an expiration date, so if you fill up 3 to 4 times a month, think and recalulate twice so you don't lose $8 to $10 on a car wash you didn't use.
