Prices shown on the tower are 20 cents lower that what you see when you pull up to the pump. I assume they have to false advertise given the gas station across the street is now a budget (vs shell) and United down the street has always been 20-30 cents cheaper. Can feel a bit unsafe at times as well. read more

As you can see from my previous review, this gas station is the worst I have ever encountered. They don't let you use the bathroom, their prices on their beverages are higher than the actual sticker price, and guess what now? They won't even turn the air on to inflate your tires. I asked why and was told "it's the owner's policy". California law requires that station operators provide free air and water to customers. WORST GAS STATION read more

Only been to this place once since it always has transients here. Also the concrete entry is really dirty, black and sticky like a big gulp slurpee was just dropped right in front of the door and never cleaned up with lint, pennies and hair stuck to it. Just had to get my truck tires filled up and most stations will allow you to do that for free but here you have to buy something. They don't offer E85 so I did not fuel up. The cashier would not budge, I offered to just pay for the air but no you have to purchase something so I got a diabetes bomb from the slurpee machine to crank up my blood sugar. Other then that this place is hyper expensive and if you are going to charge high prices at least do some basic maintenance to the property. read more

If I could give negative star review I would for this Chevron station (other Chevron stations have been slipping in service as well). This Chevron location no longer give air to fill tires upon request. What's wrong with these penny pushing corporations like Chevron? What doesn't this Chevron have? Of course they are pretty expensive considering it's so close to the Metro. Anyway this is walking distance from my current work and after coming in here I am befuddled by how much stuff they sell in here! Heck they had a whole back room of wines. A plethora of 5-hr energy's, real jerky, a pastry glass display, slushy machine, some other machines that dispensed drinks I don't know about. Some off brand vegan cookies. I mean...what do you want? I stopped by here to get a much needed caffeine boost. I am super picky with my food and drinks, so I was hoping to find something in my tastes. Lo and behold, I found a good energy drink. It was neither packed with too much sugar, nor with aspartame. However, it did get me going for the rest of the evening, and the taste was decent. So why am I giving this place such a low rating, in spite of my new energy drink discovery? It's because the customer service here is above-and-beyond horrible. When I went to pay for my energy drink, I noticed that the cashier looked like he gave up on life. I asked him if I could use the restroom, and he barked a "no." I was in no mood to bark back, as my day had been excellent otherwise. I paid for my drink and left. I noticed the gas prices here are a bit higher than other gas stations in the area. There was a loud guy hanging out just outside this place, who looked like he'd done one too many drugs in his time. Good thing I can order that energy drink in bulk online. I won't be returning here. I love this Chevron--for their coffee. It really is superb. They have many different varieties including Boyd and Seattle's Best. I mix several together with vanilla creamer. Soooo much better than either Starbucks or Coffee Bean. Additionally I often pick up my lotto tickets as well. I've had only friendly encounters with the staff. The place is clean and they have a stern "customer only" bathroom so it's always clean. The location is right by the Metro so it's convenient. read more

I would like to comment on all the negative reviews about this location. Not sure why all the hate. Today, I was almost out of gas in my new sports car and my husband always put the gas for me. I went into the store so I could use Apple Pay (do they use Apple Pay at the pump, I don't know, I'm 40 years old.) anyways, getting used to using new technology can be daunting and intimidating, but the cashier today was very helpful and professional. I was a mess today, something had happened, and even my card got declined. She was patient with me as I updated my card on my phone, and never a rude or snobby remark like everywhere else in the area would have got me. Not the cheapest gas prices in town but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet, fork over a few extra bucks to multitask efficiently, to stay on schedule. Fuel your tank and/or tummy here, plenty of healthy and not so choices; even grab a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf beverage. Feeling lucky, there's lotto too. I prefer Chevron gas over other brands, and this is the closest gas station to the office. I used to get gas here all the time, until tonight. After a long 13 hour workday, I find one of my tires dangerously low on air, so I stop by this station, walk inside and politely ask the lady to turn on the air. Her response was a curt "$1.50!" (as stated on the air/water machine). I tell her, "California law states that you have to provide motorists with free air and water." She then points to a sign taped by the door that says, "Free water and air only with purchase of gasoline. No exceptions!" Now, technically, she's right. A 1999 law states that gas stations must provide free air and water *with* purchase of gasoline, but I have never had a gas station worker turn me down for free air or water, even in the sketchiest of places. Would she have me risk a blowout if I didn't have $1.50 or money for gas? Irked, I tell her that I'll purchase gas. She looks at me stone faced, with the meanest expression I've seen directed at me in a long time (I'm a nice guy, I don't get that look often). I ask what the hell her face meant. Basically, she doesn't trust that I will pay for gas so she wants me to gas up BEFORE she will give me free air. Exasperated, I exclaim that I am already parked by the damn air machine and my tires are low on air and I don't want to risk a blowout. She finally relented. I got my air, then got $30 worth of gas. Like I said, I used to go here every week. I have an SUV, I drive a lot and spend an average of $70 a week on gas. When my husband asked to use the restroom she yelled at him. Really? Ok fine, screw this place don't give your money, go across the street or to the other hundreds of gas stations in the area. Not only is this one of the most expensive gas station in the Westside it some reason cannot throw a few dollars in cleaning its fairly dirty store. My 5 reasons why I would rather run out of gas and be stranded on Bundy than go to this gas station are: 1. It is consistently $0.20-0.30 higher/gallon than the gas stations on the westside. 2. The "store" has one door to enter and another door to exit. 3. The ramp to exit is so deep (Mississippi Ave.) it always scrapes the bottom of my car 4. Purchasing anything from the store takes on average 5 minutes to complete the transaction. (*yawn*) 5. Let's review point 1 above. I am especially irrritated that they are more expensive near a freeway. I hate gas stations that gouge drivers entering/exiting the freeway. read more

I came to the Chevron Mart to fill up the tires on my bicycle. When I asked the attendant, Lucila, if I could fill up my tires she said that I had to purchase gas first. Since I was on my bike, it made no sense for me to purchase any gas so I asked if she could turn on the machine anyway. She refused. A lady who HAD purchased gas, overheard my plight and offered to use the free air she got with her purchase to aid me. Lucila refused to honor her request. The woman even offered to "purchase the air" and, still, Lucila said "no". Even though the sign taped over her head stated "FREE AIR AND WATER WITH PURCHASE OF FUEL. NO EXCEPTIONS" she insisted that they "don't do that". Lucia was rude, cold, and incomprehensibly stubborn. I will NEVER come back to this Chevron station and I highly discourage anyone from putting themselves through the misery of dealing with these horrible people. read more

This Chevron is a very common stop for me on my way to work for several reasons listed below: 1) They have a bakery inside (how cool is that?) 2) The woman that runs the place wears amazingly red lipstick. 3) I won a scratch off lottery ticket here (this place is lucky) the only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because there is usually a table set up with a team of people that try to sell you an all purpose Formula 1 car cleaner. They spray it on your car before you even say hi and begin a demo with you. A friendly no thank you will usually do the trick. I would not consider their gas prices competitive. read more

Bad customer service! I approached the register after ordering 2 burritos, the blonde Mexican lady was cashiering this day. Never says hello to me for some odd reason, no eye contact, no greeting, nothing. This day, my cousin was with me and so we stood at the register and said 2 burritos and held out the money, this lady turned around walked to her drink, took a sip from her straw, walked back and took the money from my hand, still nothing out of her mouth like the total...nothing. this place is an overpriced crowded hellhole @ olympic/bundy! Water is literally always filthy so you can't clean your windshield. If you pay with a credit card at the pump like i do, good luck getting a receipt to print at the pump. They literally want you to go into the store and beg for your receipt and stand in line to get it! Mind you, this is after you've pumped your gas with a credit card and only needed the printed receipt at the pump with no need to actually enter the store. This is a ploy by the owner to get you to buy incidental items. According to the latina girl at the register(who speaks no ingles) this is the policy according to "Tony". I was there today and had to wait 10 minutes in line to get the very receipt that should've printed at the pump! They are super rude as well doing you a favor to spend 3 seconds to print your receipt. Drive to any other local chevron and get pumps that print receipts, gas at the area prices, no attitude, and water that can be used to clean your windshield. read more
