Update review: 05-19-2024 So this morning, on my way to Home Depot to buy some plants for my house and I needed some gas but I wanted to wait until I get to the Chevron gas station after I finish with Home Depot. I pulled into the gas station, and it looked very clean and well maintained. Pump 91 into my car and had no issues, and I used the app to save $2.20 that is a great deal since everything is so expensive. I am sitting here reading these reviews about this station and I am laughing at them. People really stop lying about oh my credit card was used by the station or they charge me the wrong fuel. There is no way that they can charge you the wrong fuel unless you tap the button and it is impossible that the pump will charge you more. Chevron- I understand the prices, labor hikes, and the inflation going up your doing but maybe have a Sunday special gas deals like other stations that would drive more business your way. This place says 24 hours but the older man always closes it up overnight for an extended period. I didn't have a choice so I had to wait 45min from 2:15-3am for the guy to open, the. He gave me a bunch of attitude. read more

The woman currently working at the time that i am posting this (7:56pm on July 26th 2024) have me the worst customer service i have ever experienced. First, she told me that they cannot except an official temporary license issued to me by the DMV for ID (yet a police officer and a TSA agent will) and when i tried to understand what the issue was she said "i don't have time to argue". I wasn't arguing i was trying to gain understanding of why they wouldn't accept a legal form of ID issued by the government. Lastly, it's amazing to me that she said she didn't have time because when i walked in the store she was sitting there behind the counter just playing on her cell phone NOT doing any work. So it is baffling that she didn't have time to answer 2 questions. Maybe she was too busy on social media or just literally hates her job or people. Regardless of the scenario the customer service provided was not just unacceptable but it was borderline egregious. read more

First off, I don't buy Chevron gas, mainly for two reasons. One, it's generally one of the more expensive brands out there and two, at least for me, it's almost sacrilegious of sorts, as I'm employed by one of their competitors. Yes, yes. Big oil, the evil empire, what evah. But it pays the bills... And there is an alternative. It's called "bi-pedal locomotion"... But I digress. I will stop by here usually for only one or two reasons. To buy a Sunday Los Angeles Times, (yes... print version. I still love to read one on occasion that isn't electronic). Or two... To pick up beer in a pinch. Generally speaking, (and quite surprisingly), they have a pretty decent selection!!! But... here is what pisses me off. As of a month or so ago, they began locking up the coolers from whence one must purchase said deviate beverage(s). WTF? At first I thought it was just during "off hours", you know, late night / early morning, but NOOOOOOOO!!! It's all hours of the FUC'n day. Really? Were there that many people running in there, grabbing a twelver, and hauling ass out without paying? I seriously doubt it. Under one Week of New Ownership and already leaving a Bad taste in peoples Mouths! Starting with Cleanliness! Floor was looking like a pig pen. both times i went this past week. Next Gas prices which I'm not even stressing over but "Greed already Playing a factor that's all ill say" If your looking to become an over night millionaire might want to start with making place look presentable for patrons. finally If Prices on items inside went up and there response was we are "new owners" Now like its a badge of honor. There are not a lot of gas choices around this area, and this Chevron is always a better deal than the Shell station just down the street. However, the gas price does go up an additional $.10/gallon if you pay with plastic of any sort. They keep a nice clean station here, and they have an expanded convenience store, which I like. I also like that the paper towels by the pump are always full, and the window cleaning tools are always in good repair. Dare I say, I like this gas station, the ladies working the register are also always friendly. read more

I have been going here for years and I rarely go anywhere else. When Bill had the garage there, he was one of the few people that I trusted to work on my cars. I still ask his advice from time to time, he's very helpful and knowledgeable and willing to give you his two cents. I miss the garage, but the Extra Mile convenience store inside is very handy. The girls inside are very polite and always helpful, an their price per gallon is pretty competitive, and I don't think twice about having to go there late at night. read more

The lady running the cash register should be fired, she drives a blue toyota with a hello kitty sticker with a damaged bumper. She tried shorting me on my change twice, it cost 12 for everything, gave her a 20 and she tried giving me two dollars for total change, told her it wasnt the right amount, she still didnt give me enough change the second time thinking i wasnt gonna count it, i told her a third time and she forked it up, it says the total amount on the recite. Watch out for cashiers stealin, i wonder how many other people they have done this to. read more

Quick note on the 1 star review: the $1 fee is a preauthorization fee that the bank is charging. Check your account the next day and it's gone! So, that review should not be taken into account when reviewing this station. I fill up here once per month when I'm in the area. The staff is always friendly and courteous. The store is big and clean. Bathroom is usually spotless. I talked with the owner Bill, and he says they're gonna install Diesel soon. There are many longtime employees here like Jenna which shows what a great facility Bill runs. read more

The female cashier is very, very rude. When I first entered the store, I was looking for newspapers and she called out to me "Card or cash?" I advised her I was not purchasing gas, just newspapers. She called out again, "They're over there." I wanted to purchase three newspapers and when I approached the counter with my newspapers, she called out again for a third time "Cash or card?" I said "Cash." She let out a sigh and gave me a weird look as if cash was not good enough. I asked her if a card would be better, and she said "Yes." So I used a debit card to purchase the newspapers. She was very rude. I kept looking at her trying to figure out why she had the bad attitude. When I left through the door, I muttered to myself "What a bitch!" When I got into my car, I looked up only to see her talking to another customer and laughing. She then pulled out her cell phone and acted like she was taking pictures of my vehicle plate. I turned off the engine and went back inside and asked if there was a problem. She said, "Yes, you called me a bitch." I said, "Yes, I did, because you have a very bad attitude." She then barked out, "Have a nice evening!" I asked for her manager, and she turned and pointed to the man behind. I couldn't believe it! I asked him if he was okay with her attitude and how she was treating and talking to people, and he indicated he didn't hear what had gone on before. I encouraged him that if he had a surveillance camera, he should review it. But all the time he was talking and responding to me, he had a smile on his face like the whole scenario was a joke. She barked out again "Have a nice evening!" Something is definitely wrong with this female cashier and the manager. Whoever the real manager or owner is, they should look into what is going on at this Chevron station. I know I must not be the only person that this has happened to. One good thing about this incident happening is that I won't be back. I will encourage friends and relatives to not patronize this Chevron station. Never had a problem before tonight. I had to give this Chevron Station one star so I could post this review, but I would prefer not giving any stars at all. read more

I usually go to this station or the Shell station across the street, depending which side of the street I'm on when driving down Western. The receipts seldom print at the pumps at this station. Shell station across seems higher quality to me and receipts always print. Also, there is a great taco truck at the Shell Station. read more

I am a constant customer. Today at approximately 5:15 pm, I tried to exchange a winning lottery ticket, and I was denied the opportunity. The customer service was awful, and I felt that the cashier was rude and disrespectful. It felt as if the cashier was judging me because of my accent and appearance. The cashier wanted me to simply exchange the winning ticket for another that was just like it, same scratcher game, and she refused to give the cash exchange value or allow me to choose other tickets worth the same dollar value. I have been a customer of this station for many years. But, that may change and you should consider the same. Yesterday, October 31st, this station raised its gas prices 10 cents/gal, prior to the November 1st date. Today(Nov 1), gas was increased another 4 cents/gal. Also today, I was told that a computer issue had occurred not allowing the Vons/Albertson rewards program to work for us(The loyal community customers). The above is true, because I had purchased gas both days here. As far as the October 31st incident, this was a case of gouging. Shell down the street was 10 cent less/gal. I should have gone there first. November 1st could have been a computer problem, but now I have my doubts. This station is suppose to be a family run, community based business which I believe had just given its customers, "The Business." Just think of how much money they made yesterday by raising each gallon 10 cents, a day before the new tax was to take effect. Do they care, well let's see. read more

OK so if I could just get my gas here anytime I need it, I would but I live in Apple Valley (which is nearly 2 hours away ) so unfortunately I can't. I love bringing my twins in for a snack (they have a great variety!) and to say hi to the lovely Jenna (once she let me get a half refill on my soda, ... shhhhh!!). Jenna Thomas, who works at this Extra Mile station, has always been so helpful to me, and is very friendly. One time I went to put air in my tires, had a blonde moment and used the air hose improperly, and was in a panic that I had to be downtown within an hour. Jenna came out and filled my tires herself, didn't laugh to hard at what a fail I was by letting air out instead of putting it in, and was treating me with kindness and good humor. She always has a smile and a joke or two every time I go into the store, and it is a pleasure to see her. Jenna is very hardworking, always restocking goods and helping customers, and also a pleasure to deal with, without exception. Thanks Jenna for always being so great and helping me with my blonde-moment tires, even when I was being impatient and difficult. You're the best! read more

There are few gas stations with unlimited food and beverages, this one has it all! They are never out of petrol and pumps work great! The bathroom facilities are clean. The people at the front desk and back office are always friendly and even know me by name!
