Located off the corner of Lomita Bl and Crenshaw Bl in Torrance. This is one of the lower cost stations in Torrance. This one has a food mart and car wash as well. Only issue is getting in and out of this one from the Crenshaw side you really can't make a left off from the street due to double solid lines and the left turn signal where you can't make a u turn unless you do it illegally. Same when coming down from Lomita Bl if you miss the left turn lane at the traffic light you'd have to go down a block or so and come back down. Now getting out from either driveway you can only go right. Overall a nice station. read more

A dozen pumps, though it gets busy during rush hour, and a car wash to serve you. Mini mart just recently been updated. Wide variety of snacks and beverages for the road. Cool woven beach straw hats and sports caps to choose from. Lanyards for the impulse buyer. Bathroom is ALWAYS clean... HUGE PLUS!! read more

Just visited this Shell Gas station this afternoon for a car wash. They are currently advertising "Check out our new car wash!" Due to the recent heat wave and messy rain we recently had here in Torrance, my car definitely needed a car wash. So since my regular car wash was closed today, I decided to give this one a try. I pulled up to the car wash, selected the "Ultimate" car wash, paid $13 using my card (the machine did not print out a receipt) and proceeded to go through the wash when I was next in line. The wash was touch-free; no large turning brushes, no giant flaps, no scrubs - it was simply your car being sprayed with various liquids. After the wash was done, I drove out and went to my next destination (I was running errands). While driving I couldn't help but notice my windows were still REALLY FILTHY. I decided to pull over to check the rest of my car. My car was still filthy (if not even MORE filthy than it was before I drove it through the wash). Dirt, spots, bird poop...just a mess! I guess that's what happens when they don't use brushes, flaps or rotating scrubs. Needless to say I am extremely upset that I just spent $13 on a car wash that made my car even MORE dirty than it already was! Since the car wash machine did not give me a receipt, I wasn't sure I would be able to ask for a refund (although I have video footage/proof). I really want my money back! I would NEVER RECOMMEND this Shell car wash to ANYONE!! I've attached photos from the wash and from after the wash. What a fucking joke! I want my fucking money back! read more

Update: The other day I was pumping gas and started watching the stupid screen not thinking and next thing I knew I had filled up more than I had wanted to put in. Beware of this at this station. keep your eyes on the pump and not on the dumb video they have playing. Yeah my bad but there is a reason those videos are there.. to distract you from your purchase. Previous review: Let me start by saying they have the cheapest (besides costco) gas prices in the area. Most other stations are .05-.10 more per gallon. They get 3 Stars for that and because its pretty clean. However.... until they changed the pumps and computers.. Used my Paypal debit card to purchase gas. Used it as a debit purchase so no "hold" would be placed on my account. Pump didn't work. The computer charged my Paypal account $95 on a hold, so when I had to run the card for the second time the paypal transaction bounced to my checking account and debited my checking account, which ALMOST made my checking account bounce. Why would the computer take a $95 authorization and hold it for three days when the transaction on the pump was ZERO and never completed! The price went up quite a bit on the car washes here too. read more

I have to say I really dislike leaving negative reviews but here I go....I work in Torrance and almost everyday pass this Shell. I really like the prices which are some of the cheapest around. Just a bit higher than CostCo but without the hassle of the long wait in lines. I usually pump and go using my Rewards Card along with My Shell Card for the lower rates. But on several occasions the printer fails to give me a receipt so I have to go inside and ask for one which I don't mind doing. But once I get inside the Clerks, all of them have this attitude as though they really DO NOT like their jobs. They never greet anyone including me with a hello, it's more like "yeah, what do ya need" I spend $75 to $85 per week and use the drive thru Car Wash every so often. Note to Owner: If you read this would you please tell your workers to smile once in a great while and let them know texting comes after Customers. The only reason I come here is because of the low gas prices otherwise I would not hesitate to take my business somewhere else. read more

Dangerous car wash booth, if you press buttons too hard the whole system reboots itself and start all over again, had to insert code twice even though it said code accepted in the first time. The whole thing is slowing down the line and people wasting time in front of this barely working "machine". The car wash here is pretty convenient, and only 1 of 2 drive thru car washes that I know of in the area besides Costco down the street. Ifthere is more than 2 or 3 cars in line I wouldnt even think of waiting. I also feel like the timer will say you have 60 seconds left and then it seems like itll jump from 20 seconds all the way down to 0. This shell is a nightmare. I walked in to purchase a car wash and there was an employee and two managers. None of which acknowledge my presence... I then purchased a car wash and left. Once I got to the car wash, the system continued to tell me that my car wash code was invalid. I then went back inside to let someone know and the employee at the counter just looks at me and says "uh, ok" and then just gives me my money back. I then tell him that I still want the wash and that I didn't want a refund. He then said "well the car wash system is broken, so you have to dispense exact change into the machine". If the car wash was not working properly why did he still sell me a car wash? All while this is happening, none of the two managers even looked at me. The store managers name is Karina and the district manager who was also present is named Fernanda. I didn't get the employees name as he was not wearing a name tag. Worst. Service. Ever. read more

This is probably my favorite Shell gas station in all of Southern California. First, their premium gasoline is always cheaper than other Shell stations in the LA area. Where as most stations price each grade of gasoline in 10 cent increments, Ace Shell only has an 8 cent difference between 89 and 91 gasoline. My vehicle requires premium so this is a great Shell to fill up cheaply. An added bonus is that they rebuilt the entire building so everything is brand new! read more

Car wash: undercarriage & high pressure blaster wash does not work. Don't waste your money. Just get the cheapest wash. I like the shell car washes and use them frequently throughout Orange County and LA county... This one is dingy and the fancier option with the undercarriage wash, etc does not work. Just get the most basic wash because if you pay for the $10 most expensive wash that is suppose to give you the undercarriage wash, it still gives you the basic one. I've tried all the versions and this station's wash just gives you the basic wash ($7) even when you paid for the $10 deluxe. read more

This gas station is open 24 hours. The inside market place is open 24hours inside also. The gas prices are always very cheap for the area. They always have paper towels and window wipers. Well lit at night. Lots of entrances and exits. Csr wash is touchless and open 24hours. Fairly clean and well maintained. Recommended. read more

I've been going to this Shell personally for years now! I love it! It's close to home and it's very convenient. It's located on Crenshaw and Lomita, which gives it a downside of getting pretty crowded during rush hour. This Shell in particular has the lowest gas prices of all Shell gas stations in Torrance. Even when I didn't live so close, I still made my way down this part of town to grab some gas, considering the local shell on Torrance and Anza was consistently above $4.00! They have a car wash, which is very convenient for a quick wash. The employees are super nice and cool! I got my car egged by some immature teenagers and I rolled in at about 11:30 PM and told them "I need a wash that will get egg off my car", and sure enough they gave me a complimentary wash! (Probably felt bad for me) If you have a Ralph's Rewards card, USE IT! You can get .10 to .20 cents off original gas prices depending how often you shop at Ralph's! The food mart is always clean and stocked and the squeegees and paper towels are always loaded and clean Can't go wrong with the free hand sanitizer either! read more

This is a great location if you're going north on Crenshaw, or West on Lomita, but if you're trying to get there from anywhere else, it's a hassle. I like it because it's a few cents cheaper than the usual place I go (crenshaw and carson chevron) and it's super clean. There are about 12 pumps so I didn't wait for one. I drive an extra mile down here passing 2 other gas stations just for their cheap gas and newer pumps. The only time I went inside the mart was for free coffees or drinks. It was clean, nicely air conditioned, and the friendly cashier's very inviting. read more
