I often accompany my mom to get gas at Costco and this is one of the Costco Gasoline stations we frequent. Lines can get long at certain times of the day, but for the most part it goes pretty fast. I had one weird incident where an older gentlemen literally cut in front of our car in line. (It was really strange considering it was evident there was a line but he acted like it was no big deal - ugh!!) Despite that one incident, getting gas here for the most part is easy and convenient. read more

Getting fuel at Costco. Lower prices on the area. They also offer a drive thru car wash. For $7.99 not a bad price and it does a pretty good job. The wash has a under carrage spray cleans the tires and wheels. I would definitely recommend spending a few dollars to get your car or truck washed here. read more

I dare to say that this is probably the best and most efficient Costco gas station compared to the other ones I go to. Better yet, they have a car wash! This location is not as crowded. But if they get busy, the cars comes in and out quite fast. There seems to be more space for gas pumps. The gas pumps location is much wider compared to crazy Alhambra Costco Gas. And people here seems quicker when they fill up, perhaps by saving time by having their credits cards ready to go? While in other locations (Alhambra and MontereyPark), I sometimes see people fidgeting in their purses looking for their cards in front of the gas stall, or they move at a snails pace. That's annoying... probably because I grew up in bustling Los Angeles. Now to their carwash. I have not seen any other Costco locations offering a carwash service. It's $7.99 to drive your car through the wash. You either pay at the pump, or at the carwash kiosk when you line up. It's very efficient and it's quite fast too. I get my car washed frequently here. But it's only the exterior. I like this location! read more

Review #910 2025-085 I used to purchase gas from known labels (i.e. Shell, Chevron, 76, Valero, etc.), but started going to Costco Gasoline infrequently in the early 2000s because they offer quality gas at a lower cost. I have yet to recall a time when their prices are higher than the labels. I prefer the other gas stations because they offer sudsy water & squeegees so I can clean my windows while I'm filling up. I'm guessing this would delay the speed/efficiency to get in & out since their gas stations are notorious for long lines. I used to work on the westside & go to the Hawthorne location (refer Review #288) for the convenience en route home. While the Torrance spot is closer to home, it can take 25-mins. to drive a couple of miles here. Costco Gasoline made recent renovations in the last couple of years with monitors that signal when pump is vacant, & added an extra turn lane & another island with 6 additional pumps to ease the congestion, though this barely made a dent. Even so, there's still a need for attendants to keep the traffic flow chugging along. For some reason, people cannot drive here or obey common sense/courtesy of taking turns & blocking traffic (my longest wait was almost 20-mins.), or making last minute lane changes to get to the pump faster. Or figuring out how to alternate turns exiting the gas station onto Lomita Blvd. Don't see the purpose in that, other than causing a car accident or road rage; I've seen drivers yelling about line cuts. There's security measure (red tape) on their cc card reader to prevent skimming, though I'm not sure how effective that is. I've had my cc skimmed before at a regular station, so I'm not sure if the tape method works. It's 2025 & prices are at $4.359/gal., still better than the labels. Costco Gasoline is my current go-to gas station after picking up groceries... filler up!! read more

One of the better places to go for gas right now, considering the high prices at the regular pumps. The only drawback of course you have to have a Costco club card. Everything is self-serve unless of course there's a problem with the pump this location. Also offers car wash services where you drive through a car wash machine I believe it's seven dollars for a car wash well worth the price considering other places charge $10 up to $20. If you have a Costco card you should go there but beware it'll be a long line because of the high prices elsewhere, everyone is going to the low gas suppliers, such as Costco and Sam's Club. read more

The best gas in town, at the lowest price. The best car wash in town at the lowest price. The only thing holding back a 5 star review is that sometimes, albeit rarely, some of the many washers in the car wash are not on. However, when that happened to me, an employee allowed me to go back thru. The quality of the car wash is better than most even on a bad day tho. Sometimes the lines are long, those are the times I do NOT WAIT ON LINE. Usually later in the evening, closer to closing time is the best time to fill er up. There will be times befor or after the holidays or weekends, & after work.(the lines will be longer). Plz , don't complain about waiting on long lines. Just try another time of day when the lines are shorter. Usually the lines in the morning right after opening, or evening 1/5hrs before closing are the shortest. I avoid Costco gas lines and shopping in Costco anytime the parking lot is full. Usually an hour before closing is the best time to go and pick up what you need. One time I fueled up mid afternoon and decided to get a car wash. The car wash line was longest, now I avoid that too You can purchase your car wash ticket,&And go back later that same day. I usually get 2 washes on the same ticket. If you go through the car wash once and get back online again,you can use that same ticket. The place to get gas if close to the area and are a member...and even has a car wash! The ability to get always cheaper, high quality gasoline for members has always been a draw for Costco, and I believe every Costco warehouse club has a nearby gas station now. However, the location and ease of entry/exit is controlled somewhat by what the topography provides...and some of the latest Costco gas stations we've went to, has been really stressful (e.g. can't find it, difficult to find end of line, very difficult to leave once done....which of course then creates a feedback loop of long lines being the result). This location just seems different. It's easily noticeable while trying to enter the warehouse, but has traffic patterns that separate it from cars just trying to go shopping. It consists of 4 islands, each with 3 pumps, a nozzle on each side (meaning 24 cars being able to pump at the same time). It has really wide and long wait lanes and cars were clearly finding the lane to wait. There are the 'traffic signal' over each island, telling you which slot was open. It does have a middle pump so if that is the one that is open, one might have to do a little parallel parking. Like all Costco stations, the nozzle has the extra long hose so you can go either side of the island. It uses the quick one tap pay station, so if you have a Costco Visa, you just need to tap once to identify as a member and pay. And when you are ready to leave, it clearly routes traffic through an area where normal shoppers don't need to go through. It's just a good parking lot layout. We came on a Thursday during rush hour (6 pm) after dropping off at LAX, and we were the first car in the queue, so no wait at all. And when we pumping, other cars were able to find an open slot right away (no wait)...which is very, very rare at a Costco station. It was so fast that we ended up stopping into the warehouse, because of the time savings. One interesting tidbit was that this station has a fully automatic car wash that you can pay for, while paying for gas. It's $7.99 (no options). It had rained in our area recently, so didn't need one, but will definitely consider next time. read more

This is the best place for gas if you can go early, late, or off-hours - price can't be beat and easy to roll through pretty easily. Given they must have something like 30 pumps - they are nearly always full and with a line qued up - so again be patient or beginning/end of the day. Lots of construction lately but appears to be over for now, with new nicer lanes (4 vs 2) to flow traffic to the gas station vs. Costco separately (before it was a mess!). Check it out and save some $$. And to boot you can then go get a $7.99 car wash, $1.50 hot dog/soda or $10 pizza while you're here! :) read more

The configuration is awkward and there's usually a bottleneck with those trying to get into the parking lot from Lomita, those trying to get out of the parking lot, and those trying to get into the gas line. There's also a Costco drive through car wash adjacent to the gas station, which probably adds to the confusion. Hey my fellow Golden Girls fans... Being here, I was a lot less Betty White and a whole lotta Estelle Getty. Lol. Definitely not my favorite Costco gas station. Was in the area in early December 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Torrance location was packed! I had to make a left-hand turn into the station which was more hassle than it should have been... Instead of a green/red turn light, the light flashed yellow every transition. Traffic from the other direction was ebb and flow. Drivers in front of me on their phones or not paying attention. There are stop signs leading into the gas station, but I witnessed several people ignoring them to race to the pumps. Each lane has 3 gas pumps. The lights showing which ones are helpful, but people still didn't pay attention to them. A car wash and warehouse are both nearby. My stupid Costco Visa chip wouldn't work here. Still not a fan of wearing a mask while pumping gas. I'm Sophia now, I tell ya! read more

I'm a fan of Costco gas. I try my best not to come to the Torrance location due to the long lines that get jammed with the crossing traffic of those coming in/out of the Costco parking lot. The two times I've been here during COVID times I've noticed minimal effort from the staff trying to help keep the flow going. It also bothered me to see many people not wearing face masks. What bothered me the most was seeing one of these maskless patrons sneeze on the gas pump while putting it back on the handle! This made me not want to come back. I've been coming to this Costco to get gasoline consistently every Saturday for the last 3/4 years. I always get here 15 minutes prior to closing to avoid the crowds/long lines since I work down the street. Throughout the years I've seen different staff come canos and go. Lately for the last couple of months they added a new girl that had never seen. She starts putting up the cones and closing up the gasoline way before even closing time. Leaving only a couple lanes open, which I kinda noticed it's starting to build crowds. That defeats the whole purpose of me even coming in a couple minutes before closing. There's still sometimes 20/15 minutes left and she's already closed up about half of the pumps. Now I get it they probably want leave on time (but the customer should not have to suffer when some of the pumps are closed and it's not even closing time yet), this was never happening in the past throughout the years that I've been coming. Everybody was able to get in and out quickly couple minutes before closing and get gas. Again, I am a faithful customer been coming here for the last couple years EVERY single Saturday during my lunch. read more

I will rate this Costco (5-stars) based on the fact they go above and beyond on service. My personal opinion this Costco has everything, including electric vehicle charging at Level 2 speeds with a J1772 plug and a Costco Car Wash. For my electric vehicle owners, this Costco is modern due to what they offer, they have many stalls, they even have some hidden stalls on the side but someone cut the cords for some unknown reasons & I wish Costco would fix the issue with these chargers. I always prefer this location to others in the nearby area such as Hawthorne or Inglewood. They have self check-out, a family restroom, self check-out for the food court, car wash, a large parking lot, a large gas station with contactless payment, and the best feature of them all is electric vehicle charging. read more

They have the cheapest gas so far compared to other Costco locations I've been to get gas, $5.199 for Unlead 87 was actually not bad whereas other could go up as high as $6z Their problem was the design for traffic to get around even though they have a bigger warehouse, I remember I was able to access to the back which was blocked off because they decided to have an Amazon warehouse now. Then the traffic got worse as you got cars going different directions from the intersections down to the parking lot to shop inside, to get gas and yes their Costco car wash as you finish pumping gas, they will ask on the screen if you like to add a wash for $8. That's when the madness started as their car wash was so close to their gas station, the traffic heading in was just taking forever and ever. I hope this issue will be resolved, because sometimes I would love to stop by here and then I saw the line, I rather go to another Costco gas instead. read more

Second time this week I drove to Torrance Costco to get gas. First time was on Sunday afternoon, the line was too long so I left. I went again this afternoon around 3:15pm the line wasn't too bad. I waited from the car wash side and there were some traffic guides helping out. Yippee! I quietly applauded. Only three or four cars ahead of me waiting to join the individual line so it wasn't long before i was waved at to drive up. I wasn't sure if I should be going to the third or the fourth lane (from this side). so I drove up to the third and then decided to move to the fourth because it was a bit shorter, not realizing there was a cone behind the van that was at the end of that line. As I was kicking myself for being foolhardy, and trying to maneuver back to the third lane, a lady hollered at me, " Ma'am, you are not suppose to come to this line!" "Sorry I misjudged this." I said. " "Now, where you are going to go?" She asked, a little gleefulness in her tone. "I will go back to where I was", I said. "You can't, you are gonna have to explain to the people behind you". As she was saying this, there was a car about to drive up to the lane on my right. "Ok, can you please help?" I said. "No, I'm not gonna", the lady said adamantly. At this point, I thought to myself: What is this? Isn't it her job to guide the traffic and smooth out the kinks? I didn't know that van in the front already stalled, and she did not stop me as I was moving this way, as matter of fact, I looked for her guidance before I was moving but I did not get any indication from her that fourth lane is a no go". It was a simple thing, all she has to do is to put her hand up to slow down the car behind and let me go back in to the line, which was exactly another traffic help guy did. Truth to be told, I didn't need the help as the car behind already slowed down as he saw me going back in. All these years I've never seen any disorder while waiting in line at any Costco gas station, the lines manage themselves. Today, the "help" lady actually added more grief than help, so the effect is the opposite, What has Costco become? I've been to this Costco for so many years, never have I encountered this type of behavior. It seems like this lady, (her name is Caroline), does not want to help but makes fun at people. Has the gas crisis making her feeling so almighty? Surely that's absurd! But that's how she projected herself. As I was driving away after shopping, I saw this lady still standing in there but moving like she was dancing. The way she moves around, full of bounce and grandeur as if it was a stage for her. Oh yeah, the world is at her fingertips. Go check her out, it's a scene! A word for Costco: If you have to hire help to guide the traffic, let not be the help who ridicules customer and takes a power trip. BEWARE OF COSTCO ETHANOL ALCOHOL CONTAINING GASOLINE. It caused damage to my BMW car. On 12/30/2023 at 2:05 pm I put Costco Premium gas in my car. Then afterwards on 12/31/2023 morning my car cannot start. I had to tow my car to a car repair shop to diagnose: crank no start after putting Costco gas next day did not start. This resulted in my car needing $3140.45 in repairs. My car repairs included fuel pump assembly, fuel pump control unit, shorted fuel pump wire, and replace battery. If you experienced car problems like me after putting Costco gas in your car, go to the Costco membership counter and ask to speak to a manager to fill out an Incident Report. Cars are not meant to run on ethanol alcohol. read more

This review is regarding the mature gentleman who was directing Costco gas traffic on Saturday, March 19th at approximately 4:20pm and was throwing hand gestures at me with my child in the car. You clearly gestured for me to go, so I went. Then you proceeded to throw your hands up. I rolled my window down to apologize and said "I thought you told me to go, sorry." To which you didn't respond and continued to shrug your hands at me whilst nodding your head. I get that it's busy. I get that we're all on edge. I get that times are tough. Show a little empathy when someone is clearly apologizing. I spend a lot of money here and have been a loyal customer for a very long time and never have been treated this way, especially with my child in the car. Costco management, please tell your employees to be more clear when directing traffic or at the very least remember that we are all HUMAN doing our best. read more
