We stopped here to get gas, snacks and drinks on our way back from Reno. It's a great location and it's usually not very crowded with tons of gas pumps in case it does ever get busy. Can't argue with the gas prices either, for a Chevron! Definitely a great stop if you need gas. They have a good selection of food and drink inside if you feel the need to get something else. :) read more

I ran in early one morning to this Chevron. I was traveling from Reno to AZ and had to get moving. The folks were so nice. They treated me to a free coffee since they didn't have any DEF on hand. Once we were on the road a good hour or so, my husband realized he had left his phone and credit cards in the bathroom. Once i called them, they immediately assured me they had recovered it when they cleaned and offered to mail it free to us back in Pheonix. Fantastic experience! read more

Rude gas station attendants gang up on you with attitude and threaten customers, as I witnessed, with their "security officer" on site. Watched two "lady" register jockeys kick a mom and little girl out of the store because she didn't have a mask and was vaccinated, rather than offering them one, which they had and gave out to other customers of their choosing. Nasty attitudes on a power trip. Used the term "people like you" as they fought yet another customer on the issue. The manager, Amanda, not on site to coach her employees. The two women working on Sunday, August 1 at about 2 pm need to be fired and never work in the service industry, lest they forget they are IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. They work for US. It has lots of gas pumps. Nice clean restrooms. You can stock up on supplies before hitting the road. It has a car wash. You have a great view of the mountains. Gas is always cheaper here compared to California. There's no homeless people begging for money or asking you to wipe your windshield. It's called BOOMTOWN Chevron. read more

On the way back home I filled up here at Chevron right off of Boomtown's exit. This location is pretty big! There's plenty of wide open space for folks with RV's, trailers and large vehicles to pull right in. Also plenty of parking. Unleaded gas was at 2.999 per gallon. I guess that was the going ripoff rate. There's a store that carried everything from ice cream to souvenirs. Of course, I needed my fix in preparation for the snowy weather up ahead. So we grabbed some chips, polish sausages, candy bars and sodas to go. Cheerful golden girls manned the counters and took care of their customers with a class act. The restrooms are located inside the store. To my surprise the men's restroom was clean! Not the usual dilapidated, dim, wet floor, no hot water, out of soap, out of paper towels and "call this number for a good time ..." on the walls. Don't get me wrong though. I'm no fan of any particular gas station besides the ones that sport the lowest prices and close to home for convenience sake. GOOD SQUEEGEES - GROSS BATHROOM Gas is on the expensive side because of county and location - right before going over the Sierra Nevada range. Big quick mart, with lots of stuff and some basic auto parts. Typical gas station, filthy outside like they've never cleaned the cement around the gas pumps and disgusting bathroom. However, the squeegees they had seemed almost new and there was towels to wipe the windshield. read more

Carol and Shawna were extremely friendly they were calm and collected as some intoxicated people came in and didnt have masks. They also had them put masks on and didnt over serve them alcohol. We had no issues as we were sober and had masks on. Wonderful customer service and gas was reasonably priced. read more

If I am going to pay to fill my vehicles up I do not want to come into your store to stand in line to get my gas receipt. FILL THE PUMPS WITH PAPER. I have lived here for 10 years and I have 3 vehicles that I use to come to this station on a regular basis but no more. I go to Gold Ranch's Sinclair because they have paper in their pumps for the receipts I need and want. Your station at 4th and MacCarran is the same way: NO PAPER. read more

I like this old timey aesthetic they tried to put onto the gas station to blend in with the rest of the area. Problem is it's so much newer it still sticks out. The way into here with Cabela's nearby is maybe one of the worst feats of traffic engineering flow I've ever seen. Even with very few people it's a pain in the ass to navigate. The station itself has a huge firezone with tons of cones to tell you to not park there. With so much land here why not just build a separate area instead of including it in the structure then not letting anyone go near it? At least the gas kiosks are standard, maybe one of the few intuitive things here. read more

This is a pretty convenient place to stop for gas. Especially if you also want to have some fun! Cabela's is right here, plus, the Boomtown Casino/Hotel. This Chevron is big! The road to access it loops around a little bit but the signs make it easy to get on and off the freeway, or over to the other businesses. The store inside is a typical Chevron. The have a car wash which did a pretty good job on our car earlier this month (9/2/12). After a week at Burning Man, we had a lot of dust on the vehicle. I actually was finding it unsafe to drive so we stopped to fill the tank and go through the touchless wash on our way home. It did an okay job. As best as could be expected without adding some vinegar to the water because of the alkaline dust. Gas was $4.219/G - 15.9 gallons plus a $9.00 wash (the best one they had), means it was almost $80 to stop here. Wish they'd let us go through the Super Wash twice for that price. Jackson's Chevron is a better deal on brand name gas than going 2 miles down the road to Boomtown Chevron. Price difference is usually the cents a gallon at Jackson's. Not a bad place, just a necessary stop on the way back to Truckee where fuel is almost a buck more per gallon. read more

Spend 2 hours exploring Cabela's (check out their website to see how great this store is), Head over to the Boomtown Casino and grab lunch or a quick bite. The new owners are pouring a lot of money into this property and it shows. Play some machines, try out the Fun Center, grab some Peet's Coffee. This is a great stop along Interstate 80! read more

When I approached the cashier to pay . This employee name Carol was the one doing my transaction . She presented herself with a sassy attitude towards me and unhappy gesture serving the me . I purchased a cup of coffee them when she handed me the coffee I noticed she did not gave me cream and sugar tfor my coffee . I asked her politely where can i get a cream & sugar for my coffee because I enjoyed drinking coffee with cream & sugar. Carol from chevron Boomtown Reno said to me next time tell me with her bad look and also said "It's not my job babysitting " I replied to her you did not ask me if i want cream & sugar . "Fantastic holiday get away at Boomtown!" I am writing this review on Boomtown regarding a recent stay over the New Year holiday. This was my first time staying at Boomtown and I was very impressed with the room we had. We had a Grand Suite and it was Beautiful. I enjoyed my stay so much. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends, family and colleagues. The staff at Boomtown makes your stay the best. All the staff are very friendly and very accommodating. During my stay at Boomtown I attended a concert Cherry Popping Daddy's, which was outstanding. I enjoyed a wonderful New Year's Eve party with a wonderful dinner and dancing. I also enjoyed a cocktail party with wonderful appetizers and socializing with the new owner of Boomtown Mr. Dilullio which is an amazing person. He is very kind and a down to earth person what a pleasure to get to know such a nice man. I also enjoyed talking with friends I have made over the years. What a great experience! If you want to get away and enjoy a great time you should really give Boomtown a try. I know that you will have the best time ever! read more

Why five stars for this gas station? Because it's very easy to get in and out of, and the staff here is always friendly! I have visited this station several times despite my "one" check in listed here on Yelp. We like to visit Reno to enjoy the local mountains, and this gas station and convenience store are right on the way to...or from all of our favorite spots. This visit we also picked up some windshield washer fluid to top off our little SUV for the wintery roads, a necessity this time of year. It wasn't cheap, but it was convenient...$4.30 for a gallon of the blue stuff. Getting in and out of this location is easy, as the exit from highway 80 almost puts you in the gas station at 65 mph...plan your braking accordingly. Inside there is the usual selection of great drinks, snack, and souvenirs if you missed it in the airport. There are actually some cool t-shirts and stickers here with funny sayings and logos, check it out if you have time. The gas prices are a bit higher, maybe 2-3 cents, but again, this location as you are traveling is worth the extra money. We will visit here more as we look to retire to Reno. read more

This is always our last stop before heading back to California. There are a ton of pumps and snacks but the bathrooms are NASTY so use them only if you absolutely need to. read more
