Terrible car wash, left car dirty, unwilling to help when asked to go through a second time

So, obviously not the cheapest gas around town BUT some of the friendliest attendants I've encountered. Worst car wash ever. You have a higher chance of waiting for the rain to give you a better wash than this location. Machine is extremely slow and just stopped midway. Waiting for at least 5 minutes until I gave up and just left with my car half washed. read more

$2 for some freaking air is my last straw with this station. You have to buy to get "free" air. They're already overpriced for gas and snack, bathroom either never works or they have an issue opening it for anyone. The car wash is old and has issues. I don't know what I'm more annoyed at watching her in there sleeping like I bothered her or her flustered that I had to use Apple Pay for $2.29 for air that's normally free or reasonably priced like a quarter or two. Not only that, but she charged me for Mentos to get gas then didn't give me the Mentos gum I bought. Since air should be free to customers. Had went to use Safeway rewards at the pump, it accepted my reward and my payment and then the screen just spun and told me to put the pump back and cancelled my transaction. The same lady wouldn't refund it and just charged me for regular gas. This happened another time and the agent was able to cancel it no problem and apply it to my order. She tells me to deal with them. It wasn't a them problem. Don't waste your money or time here. Location is greedy and taking advance of basic necessity like air. read more

You need to buy a car wash to get a decent price here, but sometimes if my car is filthy and I can't see a long line, I'll go ahead and gas up and get one. Recently, though, when I go to order the car wash at the pump, it tells me I have to go inside to buy it, and of course the gas discount isn't applied. How about no. I've already swiped my card for the gas, I'm not going to cancel the transaction and go wait inside. So whatever, I don't really have a reason to stop here anymore. So I went to the gas station today to get gas after a long trip from Palo Alto I asked to use the bathroom... The guy with the glasses said you have to buy something... I said my truck is right there I'm gonna get gas but I have to pee 1st is that OK? At that point I had to say about 5 times that my truck is right there I'm gonna get gas can I just pee quickly.... He was very rude I couldn't even believe it... He told me that I wasn't American.. I asked him for the owner's phone number he told me no... I've never been discriminated against like this. Car wash kiosk has the cheapest option button broken without a sign at the entrance to notify customers, so when you get in line and someone is behind you, you're forced to pay the more expensive option. Bait and switch. I'm sure they are very happy to be receiving an extra 25% revenue using this tactic. I notified the owner and he promised to place a sign at the entrance, but he still hasn't placed a sign up. He was just telling me whatever I wanted to hear. Also. This car wash will leave swirl marks on your paint. Avoid this place. read more

Ouch! Have been a reg customer for a few years, and noticed just recently that customer service has died a quick death. Went this morning early and got a car wash (this Chevron has a Speedy Car Wash), and the machine itself fell apart during the wash cycle as the entire works was coming back over my truck from behind. Part of the interior metal casing literally just fell off and was being dragged on the LHS of the wash area. Scared the crap out of me and caused a couple of minor scratches to my truck. I went back today to trade info - happily gave them a business card & my DL. When I asked for insurance so I could get the paint fixed, Aparinda the service lady who was on the phone with her boss (owner?) refused to share any pertinent data. !!! She also asked for MY insurance info while refusing to offer me the same, in case it was MY FAULT the machine fall apart. When we went over to the area she said "We just had this fixed!" which I thought was weird, along with the refusal to provide insurance from the station - which might be illegal. I asked a bunch of times and was flatly refused. Second - Speedy Car Wash was listed on Yelp as "PERMANENTLY CLOSED" but strange enough, I was there getting my truck damaged by the carwash. Keeping the carwash open but listing it as closed so no one can leave feedback or reviews looks VERY SUSPICIOUS and leads me to believe this has happened before. So, I edited the Yelp listing back to "open". I also contacted my insurance and will have to deal with them. Surprised that this business is associated with Chevron. read more

This is a great car wash and people are super nice. Who rates a drive thru car wash negatively? It does the job.

This review is for their car wash policy, went and got gas on September 23rd, the line had about 3 car wait, decided I would come back later in the week, well I had forgotten about it, my fault, went back a few days after it had expired and asked if I could get another ticket, knowing the outcome would be no, still had to ask, well the lady inside said no, it's not about the no, it's the way she said it, their tickets are good for one week, other places I've gone there was no expiration, so the bottom line is use the car wash before you forget or you'll get a rude NO! I will not be returning for any gas or wash. Why is there an expiration? Do they do that so you'll forget like I did, well keep my $8 bucks but you lost a customer and I'm sure there are others. read more

I normally don't go out of my way to give a bad review but customer service from the attendant Tu was really poor. The car wash malfunctioned for the guy ahead of me and he had come out to fix it. I'm pretty patient and understand so that wasn't the problem but after waiting an addl 10 min or so Tu came out to finally reset it. He needed the code to start the wash for me and asked for my phone number instead? He had broken English which is fine but he was frustrated when it took only a couple tries to give him the right number (it was on the receipt but all the way at the bottom) He asked sarcastically if it was my first time using a car wash. Seems like he has a short fuse and really didn't want to be helpful and work there. I waited an addl 10 min to actually get through the car wash and instead of being apologetic he was rude like he didn't want to do his job. Not the first time having a bad experience and wanted to give this location another try. There are plenty carwashes in San Jose which are cheaper and have better customer service not to mention how expensive gas is on that intersection. I'd only come here if I was desperate otherwise you pretty much lost my business. I used to seek out cheaper gas stations, but now that I get discounts by using my Safeway Club Card, I am back to being a Chevron customer. This location on Blossom Hill and Snell is the one I frequent the most, since it is so conveniently close to the freeway. I've used the air and water station a few times, and I've gotten a couple of car washes over the years. I've never actually gone into the mini-mart, so I can't speak to the service or selection of snacks and such, or the cleanliness of the restroom, for that matter. There are plenty of spots to fill up, and I don't think I've ever had to wait for an opening, even if there was an occasional "Out of Order" pump. read more

This is an older car wash, but the line moved fast, and if you are in a long line, you can stop by McDonald's to get some food to munch on. This carwash is cheaper offering $6 as it's lowest price for a carwash. The other chevron carwash on meridian and branham was $8 as it's lowest price for carwash. A lot of these reviews are pretty old. The car wash was upgraded a couple of months ago. I have a fit and before it would never get the area under the rear spoiler. This new car wash now cleans that area. Before the car wash dryer would be set so high it ripped the moulding off the top of my other car from the back to the front. My used car had the side view mirror case blown off because it wasn't secure. No more issues it works now. No issues. I use apple pay at the pump because of all the card skimmers in the area. Google search but ignore the first pdf article you find. That information is out of date. If it doesn't have Apple or Samsung pay I will not shop there. So cvs, nob hill, Wallgreens, and this Chevron station I go to all the time. All Apple Pay. Stay safe. read more

Overpriced everything, $10 for a hot dog and it was the wrong one, a bag of chips and a 24oz coffee. Service sucks, because I've talked to a couple of employees and the all are unhappy there. This little Chevron kinda sketches me out! It gets the job done just fine, and has ok lighting at night, but I'll usually choose to drive down to Morgan Hill for a fill-up if my husband isn't with me! Nothing personal, just sayin'. The area is hard to get in/out of too unless you're in just the right spot. read more

Isn't it illegal to advertise a particular price on your banner and then not make it available? So more often then not, their shotty/overpriced carwash doesn't work. We don't have a lot of choices in the area, so I use it. Well, I pulled up and attempted and pumped my gas. I noticed that the price was more than the price advertised. I wanted a receipt and pressed "yes" to get one, but of course the machine did not issue it. I took a photo of the gas price. I went in and asked the women about the situation. They said the car wash was "broken." I said "then you should clearly mark that before people insert their credit card and start pumping." They didn't care. I learned from several neighbors that they do that often. Somebody needs to call these people into weights and measures. read more

I would give this place 0 stars. They try to make money off you in every way. Came here to put air in my tire. They tried to charge $2 for air. California law says it is illegal to charge for water or air and a gas station. I let them know that and t They said it was only free if you buy gas. This is not true. Pump did not work and was told that it was working fine. Check your gauge as I got really bad customer service by the owner not by the cashier. I would suggest checking your gas gauge as I paid for gas and did not get any. When I went back to tell them I was told that other people had purchased gas and the pump was fine. I went across the street and bought the same amount of gas and the gas gauge was right where it was supposed to be when I had bought gas here 10 minutes earlier. Check your gauge before leaving as they only call their boss for disputes and there is not A number to call to complain like a corporate number. Car wash is closed and has been out of order since before 9am this morning. Tried to get a refund. Was told to come back in 2 and a half hours... Come back a 3rd time? AND won't give me a full refund. This is one of the two Chevrons by my house. The only one that has a car wash. The other car wash establishments near my home are hand wash. My car was filthy from traveling, & I just needed a quick, basic wash. The lady at the counter was super helpful & friendly. When it came to using the car wash, she didn't push to upsell me, and she took the time to explain what I needed to do without making me feel stupid. The wash wasn't perfect, but it got the job done & I was back on the road with a much cleaner car. You can't beat that for $5.99! What is also nice is that it is 24 hours, so you don't have to go inside to pay for the car wash. read more

BEWARE -- THIS IS NOT A BRUSHLESS CAR WASH!!!! I am surprised the previous review did not mention that very important fact. I went to fill up the car and get a car wash today. The car wash uses the red nylon-type brushes. I am hoping that translates into fewer scratches since dirt from previous cars might not stick to the nylon-type material as well as it does cloth brushes, but I'm really not sure. I removed my antenna before entering the car wash. Boy, am I glad I did. I was at a drive-thru shortly after leaving the car wash, and a kind soul pointed out to me that my front license plate was coming off. I do not have holes drilled in my bumper for a license plate; instead, I have a special mount to attach it via the tow hook in the front of my car. When I pulled over to look at it, the license plate was upside down, the mount was bent, and the license plate was bent too. This was a license plate and mount that were only a couple of months old and in perfect condition prior to this car wash. My car does seem rather clean, and I can't see any scratches at this point. I'll know more when I carefully wash my car by hand next time. I can't recommend this "Brushless" car wash since the name is misleading. Make sure you remove any important parts before sending your car through this wash. read more
