Good gas station. Very clean and expected higher Chevron prices. Cute cat guards the front door after hours. This neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges. Seedy hotel directly next door and unusual apartments just behind that share the driveway. Still, the station itself is extremely clean and you get Techron gas that you know and trust. What I liked best about this station was the cute cat that would guard the door after hours. Kitty would sit in the middle of the doorway blocking the entrance and exit - that was ok since the minimart was closed anyway. I saw one guy attempt to open the clearly closed doors and the cat of course moved - but then seconds later came back and did a cute little loaf - back to business as usual. Not only is this one of the most expensive gas stations in the bay area but also new touch screens that don't really work. You have to press them 10 times and then maybe they'll decide to do what you want them to do. Also, there's never a receipt paper in the machines so if you need a receipt, don't come here after hours cause guess what you're not getting one also one of the pumps randomly spits out gasoline when you try to use it, which is not only hazardous, but it's messy and it stinks. I've been using this station just to refuel and pick up a drink or so for almost 20 years now. Recently on a Sunday, I had flat on my motorcycle while riding and I managed to pull into this station. I walked in and asked the manager (Mohammad, as I found out later) if he knew of any towing service for motorcycles. He immediately took out his smartphone and looked up a few numbers and started calling them. For each call, he asked me to talk to the operator and explain the problem and ask for a quote. Not once did Mohammad ask if I had a smartphone (which I did). We managed to get someone to come over in less than 1 hour. I use the word "we" intentionally since he behaved as though this problem was his as well. During this entire process, he made me sit behind the counter (where he was) at a chair and make my calls. Every customer who came in was greeted by Mohammad while he took care of their needs. He definitely didn't have to do what he did but I am so grateful that he did. Thank you, Mr. Mohammad, for making my experience so rewarding. read more

I will make this short and sweet because most people looking for a gas station review want to know just a couple things... Cons: 1) Slow-ish pumps. I can post at least ten Yelp tips while filling up my 10 gallon tank. 2) People asking for cash. They seem nice enough but getting "sneaked up on" while at the gas station by yourself is not a fun time. Pros: 1) Prices are decent and you can use your Safeway rewards card for discounts. 2) Good selection of energy drinks that are on sale. I tend to get fuel at this gas station when I am traveling a distance because it is convenient to the 580 on-ramp. I like to grab a beverage and snack to take with me. Overall, I prefer a faster pump but I like the snack and beverage selection here for trips that I know will require some "people fuel" to get me through. read more

I never write Yelp reviews but I felt inclined to write about the absolute WORST experience I've EVER had at a gas station and probably will EVER have. Another customer had asked the cashier to put $60 on pump 2, cashier absent mindedly and mistakenly puts it into pump 1. Unknown to me, I pull into pump 1 confused as to why Im getting free gas. I go inside to ask whats going on and he starts screaming at me asking for cash for the gas that I'm "stealing" threatening to call the cops if I don't pay. Another guy comes up to defend me and this very friendly cashier cusses him out and threatens to call the police on him too!! Im looking at the receipt and the guy's name is Santokh. I am telling everyone I know to stay the hell away from this gas station. Worst customer experience I've had in my life by FAR. This place is a gem. The prices are the best in the area and most of the time are in line with Costco. They also have fresh soapy water to wash your windows and the place is kept pretty clean til the locals trash it. Only bad thing is they never refill the paper in the gas pump so no receipt unless you go inside. read more

Chevons are usually on the expensive side, but I find this particular one to have great prices consistently. Even if you go to the QuikStop or Arco, you may think you're getting the better price, and you do IF you pay with cash. But otherwise you're most likely paying the same amount due to their 35 cent ATM fee. This gas station doesn't seem to get very crowded unless you're going right at rush hour time. Also, love their drink selection. They were one of the few gas stations to have the Coconut Rockstars, which now they don't because I wiped them out. :) Overall, this is my go-to gas station and my go-to energy drink stop before I have to hop onto the freeway. read more

The owner here sucks!!!... He just sat there and do nothing when you told him the pump didn't work..he would keep on telling you to press hard. He didn't even bother to look if he needs to put up a sign saying malfunction, etc... perhaps that's the reason y he can only have a gas station and nothing else. I find it idiotic that the city would not allow the small tab on the gas nozzle to be exist on the pumps. You end up having to stand at your car, holding the pump. I would not like it when it is cold, or when there's shady people around. I would not be able to defend myself unless I use the gas pump as a weapon. Seriously, I would not like to be a truck driver with a 30 gallon tank, towing a boat that needs 15 gallons, you might as well pinch a tent. read more

Cheap gas! And very close to freeway. (580 and 238) it's a lot cheaper than Oakland. Food mart is there and you can run in and get some snacks. It never really gets crowded and there are about 5 parkings on the right side. read more

Obviously overpriced gas, but that's not my problem. My problem is that I used pump number 5 with 2 gift cards I had that had a leftover of $3 and one with $0.94. So I got about a 1.2 gallons and when I started my car, I was still at the same amount of gas I had when I came to pump gas. So I went to the cashier and told him what happened and this guy is giving me a smug attitude saying the receipt said I pumped this much. But it doesn't matter because that didn't go in my car and starts blaming my car and says I need to take it to the technician. Go to the 76 next door to pump and no problems at all. Avoid this place at all cost and if you can, avoid this cashier. There's a reason that chevron is always empty. read more

Just had an egregious experience with the store manager. A disabled person was requesting help to get some gas, and the manager was completely rude and dismissive of that person, and refused to help. He first ignored the person while he was trying to get his attention outside. I attempted to talk to the manager about it, and he was very clear that he did not care at all about it, citing a Chevron policy that they don't have to help disabled individuals. I didn't even know a company could have such a policy. He should be reported for this behavior. I will not support such an establishment and I suggest others not support him as well. Even if this policy is true, its his complete disrespect and lack of care that were astonishing. read more
