Been in this 7-11 a couple times as I'm working nearby these days and often look for any excuse to leave and take a coffee break at odd hours of the night. Coffee has always been better than expected from a convenience store. I like that they offer cream not just the powder stuff. Donuts: Today I had a pink one with sprinkles. It was fine. I also had a cake one that was dry. I passed on some blue jelly filled ones with a shark gummy bear on top. I will mentally prepare myself for eating that type one day soon and update my review. The workers there are serious hard working people. Don't hesitate to come here for a coffee break. Lots of sandwich options too. Just like it should be you will be out fast - not like at Safeway where it does eat up 15 minutes to find a bite to eat and pay. Next door they have a pizza place that offers a gluten free option and outside there is a red box dvd rental that seems to attract a lot of foot traffic. Across the street a Trader Joes. FYI this seems to me like a relatively safe area on the edge of Castro Valley and Hayward. Parking lot small. Be right with God to ensure getting a spot. read more

Do not send your Amazon packages here. They claim that if they can't fit that they send back the Amazon package, but they can't even explain the process of setting back an Amazon package. UPS marked it delivered here, but they claimed they never got it. I was simply asking about their process which they kept on saying I don't know and then they asked me. Why am I accusing them so they most likely have my packages and just stole them. read more

This 7-Eleven has the New Japanese eats that was announced on social media. They have the tempura or salmon onigiri, tofu and chicken musubi. Wakame salad and rice bowl with meat and vegetables. The owner told me that his daughter is into Japanese food and she told him about Japanese eats and he ordered a few items to see how it goes. He also said the he likes to order new items to keep inventory new so customers have new things to try. read more

I live close by this store and some of the younger men that work there are polite and friendly, but the older man is rude, and seems a bit racist. I would give a zero but.... Cashier was rude. No one in this place was wearing a mask, workers nor patrons! I asked for a bag for a donut and the rude kid cashier gave me a paper bag that would not fit a donut or muffin. There was no plastic safety plastic to grab the donut or muffin. The employee was wearing an earpiece and kept talking so I was getting confused and was thrown off whenever he said something while he was helping me. Although there was no one else in line, I felt like he was trying to rush me out of there. On my way out, I saw the lotto machine and remembered to check the lotto. I scored a few bucks and cashed it in right there. The dude was still on his phone conversation through his ear piece. That didn't sway my excitement of winning a few bucks! Although she wasn't at the front register, she was very attentive and could hear as customers were walking in. As I proceeded to the drink machines she looked up and greeted me and smiled. It's only midnight on a Friday night and we showed up to just buy some ice cream and the owner was mopping the floors totally ignoring everyone waiting with no note on the door with the door locked. I understand that you're a 24 hour business and you have to take time to restock but Friday night at midnight is not the time. maybe two or 3 AM. He seemed to enjoy the fact that there were dozens of people waiting to get in and didn't care. Bad business hands-down. Get your shit together. Total power trip and bad business. I don't know who owns this particular 7-11, but you're losing lots of money by hiring RUDE, INCOMPETENT store workers. I use to go here often when I lived close by in Castro Valley. The old man at the register with the major attitude should be booted out the door. Like NOW! He acts like he hates EVERYTHING, including you... a paying customer. I use to buy my lottery tickets here, but if you're not buying anything except getting lottery tickets, they lie that the lottery machine is broken and they can't run your play slips. I've always been a big fan of 7-Eleven growing up. So why does this 7-Eleven get 5 stars? Simply because this place is clean, well stocked and friendly cashiers. I recently tried their Doritos's cheese triangle and although it's reheated good and they keep it in a warm case, I thought it was very good and tasty. read more

Love their Coffee and all the varieties of coffee creamers, cinnamon, mini marshmallows, and other things you can add to doctor it up. Costs around $2 for their largest coffee. Great deal! Plus, they have these nice plastic lids that limit/minimize spilling when your coffee cup is sitting in the car while you're moving. Mocha Iced coffee is tasty, as is the French Vanilla Iced Coffee. $1.50 for Small, $2.00 for Large (even though prices weren't labeled for the Iced Coffee they were able to tell me. Tip: Alone, the Iced Coffees are on the sweet side, and Vanilla is sweeter than Mocha. Buy a full large cup of Iced Coffee (without ice) and then add your own ice from home to get the most bang for the buck. Giant frozen burritos are an occasional guilty pleasure. Sausages wrapped in Maple Pancakes (3 for $3.33) is another guilty pleasure. I think part of the appeal is the size of the sausage link is larger than what you grew up with from Jimmy Dean. Also, they don't taste half-bad, and are filling. Very basic of donuts like Glazed are reasonably priced. Outside of those few things I generally don't buy from 7-Eleven (milk, cereal, bottled or canned drinks) because they're on the pricier side compared with grocery stores. The female staff seem to be friendlier and more customer-service focused than the male staff. They don't give you a receipt unless you insist on it. I have had enough of rude customer service here. I have only lived in the neighborhood for a year and I used to come to this store a lot because of it being walking distance from my house. But once I kept getting the tall man and his rude attitude I was like "NAAAA..2 tears in a bucket, I'm not giving dude my $$$ no more". I only would come in here because it has the ATM inside and with me having a credit union it was nice to just pull out at a location close to my house. I would ask the tall man for change and he would just stare at me.. "umm..maybe you didn't hear me, I apologize, May I get change please for a $20?" He would instantly snatch the $$ out of my hand and state "I don't give you change, I don't have change" and then throw the $20 back on the table. I had to look around like WTF! but it took me everything I had to walk away and not give him a piece of my mind! HE IS SOOOO RUDE!!! There are other instances as well but why keep going on...You get it right? Well anyways, selection is ok, they have everything that any other 7-Eleven would have. Its clean, I cant deny that. I am not a coffee person, but I hear people brag about there coffee, give it a try, you never know. In the back of the cashier they have a great selection of Tobacco products for the people that smoke. It is pricey though I suggest going to a Liquor store which is across the street. In the 7-Eleven plaza they have a Donut shop, Vapor store and pizza place. Outside they also have a Redbox for the people that like watching movies :) If I see the owner/Manager hire new people then my review may change. Other staff like Singh, is nice! 7-11 has pricey beers here. some are discounted, result? same price as safeway. yet there are lines. always some item on "special" to draw in bizz. -lack of "convenience store" in area brew: XL coffee (1.65) -sounds cheap. He counted my items wrong and I corrected him because he was about to undercharge me by $2, so then he charges me an extra $6 which then forced us to have to sit there and recount items again just to end up at the number of items that I originally said. After that long experience I think he purposely declined my purchase on 3 separate cards, then pointed me to the atm held out his hand and said that if I didnt have cash to put in his hand then I can leave... so I left. I used to work at the pizza place a few doors down and 7-11 is where I would go to fuel my already drug addled brain in order to carry out my pizza deliveries. I live nearby this store in CV and have stopped going in because they would have an "out of order" sign on the LOTTERY machine way too often. My friend works for the CA Lottery and all they have to do is hit a button on the terminal and a company comes out in a van VERY quickly to repair. I noticed a pattern. When I went in to buy JUST lottery tickets that smart alec with the head dress on would say, "Oh, the lottery machine's broken." No, it's not!
