I had also just stopped in Alabama and spent a fair amount of time at that Buc-ee's location. Baytown Buc-ees was a stop I made at about 3:30pm on 6/10/26 and I knew I was going to battle Houston traffic to get to Austin! I was able to purchase some nuts and snacks here and the store was consistent with other stores in the chain-- tons of food, super clean restrooms, mesmerizing merch, and plenty of gas pumps. Along with my love of Buc-ee's, I also have a ton of perks at Starbucks and was pleased to see that there was a store next to Buc-ee's. I was able to get a cold brew and be on my way in 30min. Fastest Buc-ee's/Starbucks stop on my trip! I guess it possible to do a quick stop at Buc-ee's, but before I left I saw a manager and asked her if this was the first Buc-ees and she said in a polite TX voice, "No sir, we are store #34" She also let me know that the first store was in Clute, TX. Knowledgeable staff!! Since I live near the first Chipotle I was curious. I didn't get to visit the 1st Buc-ee's store or the first In and Out Burger on this trip but there will be more. :) I did visit the first KFC and museum in Corbin KY! lol

I will gladly pay a little extra for the convenience & speed (sometimes you just don't have time or patience to trekk through a crowded grocery store) and, of course, the friendliness is an added bonus. Also, love that you can find some special "extras" depending on the season. Fresh salsas, pan dulce, tamales, and prepared fruits just to name a few. Support your local community! Shop small!

In all honesty I have only fueled up and/or used the store twice because I'm always made to feel like I'm trespassing. What I use this location for is my backup RedBox location for when the Walgreens on Almeda is out of what I'm looking to rent. Other than the local flavor this is pretty much a run of the mill gas station.

I asked him where he go this from he told me Jensen Supermarket. I found it on yelp but had no reviews but had the address and thats what I needed. I go to jensen its on the north side of town around 59 area. The building looks better on the outside then on the inside. When we got there my chick was mad thought I found the wrong place. Inside it looks like a large version of a corner store. By that I mean its looks old and not updated at all, shelf's look like they have been there since the 1980s and never changed. Well I only came for one thing and that is sausage right! so I go around to the back look at the meat area first I see Chapel Hill, Im like the chick is gonna kill me. but then I ask the butcher about sausage and he says in the glass case at the end. They have several different sausage to buy, hot, mild, Cajun, and they have boudan both spicy and mild versions of it. I got me 2 rings of hot sausage (think how chapel hill comes if you dont know what a ring is) and one link of boudan. Took them home and put them on the smoker and smoked them for about 30+ mins at a pretty high temp for a smoker. Came out great I actualy had some sausage left in the morning and ate it I thought it was even better on the reheat. The boudan was good too, I smoked it like the sausage, it was spicy full of flavor I put it on some carr's water crackers. I got what I wanted out of that trip and will be back. So go here this summer for your next BBQ and get the sausage I cant say anything on the other meats but they looked ok. It is worth the trip.

They have weekly deal that are too die for I just don't recommend going to the courtesy booth for their ATM because for wtihdrawl is a high fee plus a fee from your bank in its not even a ATM machine. You give your card to the clerk lady punch in your pin in she hands you the money. So why the high fee. Other than that its OK so expect a neighborhood price store.

The guisado de costilla de puerco was very good taste wise but way too many bones. I recommend those on a plate lunch or tacos. They act like you are going to steal from them and everything has to be prepaid before it's given to you. It felt weird but considering the neighborhood I guess they have to do business that way there. The chicharrones carnudos were not as good as Freeport store either. Threw those away because they were very hard and not fresh. Next time I'll just head on over to Freeport but the only good thing here was they didn't have the freeloaders waiting on you to exit like they have on Freeport St.

It's not a very nice area, a little unsafe, but it's a great place to have a gas station, and great for me personally.
