BEWARE HYPER AGGRESSIVE CARWAX SELLER Stopped for gas this morning and saw the table by the door with a young guy pushing that aerosol car wash & wax stuff. Just started filling my tank when he showed up to try to sell me some. I politely said I was not interested, but he kept at it. Insisting he was supposed to give me a free demo and he started to take the cap off, and I sternly told him to not touch my truck and I was not interested. But, he kept at it, pointing out it was to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness and asking what I had against that. So I laid into him, pointing out I had nicely told him 5 times I was not interested. He kept at it, so I (unfortunately) had to get in his face telling him to leave me the hell alone. His response was to walk away complaining about me being rude and F this and F that. I had a great experience there, I used the car wash there. The manager Bahram was very nice , because of my mistake when i didn't stop there to dry the car, he gave me another code before I asked him anything. Recommend it strongly. read more

It's kinda odd to write a 5 star review for a gas station, but here I am :) After fueling my car, I asked the cashier to turn on the air pump for me. He kindly explained that the pump will be on for 3-4 minutes, I'll just let him know if I need more time, and he'll turn it on for me when I'm ready since he didn't see my car at the pump yet. Just the worst. The screens on the pumps never work right. I've had to hit cancel and move to another machine more times than I can count. It's tells me I have Safeway points back there is no way to accept them on the screens that don't work. Took me 12 tries to get the pump to actually pump this last time. I just moved out of Sunnyvale so fortunately I shouldn't have to use this station anymore. read more

Live close by. 50% of the time the pump does not work (pull lever, no gas). 25% of the time the lanes say 'out of order'. I give up on this place. read more

Do not waste your time here. Safeway rewards never works. Apple Pay rarely works. The pumps are EXTREMELY slow. Commercials are played on the screen while you suffer through the intolerably slow pump. read more

DOES NOT HONOR sign they put at pump station. it says DOLLAR OFF ON CARWASH when you fill 8 gallon or more. regular price is 6.99 for cheapest wash. fill with 8 gallon and you still get charged 6.99 2. RUDE. i asked the guy at register, his answer "dont you read the sign?" --referring to sign at high pole: $/gal OF GAS with carwash and without carwash. good that system works for gas price. but guy did not look at carwash charge --irritatedly puts hands up then push it down saying "no more off" ..like the soup nazi. read more

I hate walking into a store and being stared at as if I'm going to steal something from there. My first and only visit I was being watched like a hawk by the cashier. I decided to stop by and fuel up before heading to pick up my dad from work and back home to Modesto. I also decided to shop around for snacks and drinks in order to kill some time since my father was still working. The place was small but I still decided to scope it out. Unfortunately I had to make a selection quickly since I felt uncomfortable by the cashier monitoring my every move. My decision was gum, beef jerky, and an iced tea. They were all a bit over priced. Therefore I don't recommend shopping inside the mart I only recommend the fuel they sale. Thumbs down on the bad customer service here! read more

OK, it's basically as bad as you think it is, based on the other reviews. But as long as you know that you can't pay for the car wash at the kiosk, it's not the end of the world. My car got as clean as I would hope for a low end drive through car wash. The attendant will not earn any charm points, but seriously people, do you think this is a five star resort? I'll go back because I live near by. I can deal with non ideal service and going into the store to pay for the wash. Update 9 months later and they haven't fixed their credit card machine on the car wash. Even grading them by low expectations, this is garbage service. Down to two stars. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Prices are always high compared to other good gas stations (i.e. shell 1 block away) DO NOT USE YOUR SAFEWAY GAS REWARDS HERE...it will not work. Multiple times this station has taken my rewards and applied no fuel discount. The clerk is well aware as I have said something as well as others. Unbelievably rude and unpleasant owner, who is also a cheat (my card was charged, the service was not delivered, and while the owner reluctantly - though only after an argument - agreed to the refund the charge, he did not actually execute the refund. Had to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. Avoid this cheat. read more

Rude customer service!! Got sick and lost my voice went to get gas but the pump was having a problem. Tried explaining it to the cashier but instead of trying to help out he kept pretending that he couldn't hear me and started smiling and laughing. The prices are high unless you have safeway rewards points to knock off 20 cents. The worst part is their squeegiees are in bad condition and they don't put soap in the water to help you clean your windshield. Oh and some of the paper towel dispensers are empty or jammed. These are crucial since you should be cleaning your windows while you pump, not watching useless ads. Get the basics right and you get a higher rating! read more

Pumps overcharged 20c per gallon - $3.20 for me. Happened last time I was there too but didn't notice until I was leaving and I was in a hurry. Figured it was a fluke and drove out. This time i saw it and went inside. Attendant refused refund of the difference because owner was the only one who could do refunds and he wasn't there. He offered an automated car wash but I only do hand washing. He refused credit for other merchandise like a soda. I showed the attendant the issue on a pump and he agreed I was overcharged but said he couldn't fix it until all 8 pumps were unused simultaneously (on a weekend afternoon - not likely) and he could reboot them, so they just kept overcharging everybody. Plz plz do NOT go to this place..This is the worst car wash place..in fact shouldn't even be called as one.. There is no one to give any directions, the only guy i saw was in the shop and was simply chilling..worst : i got car washed somehow but the dryer never started..there is no automated direction inside as well that tells where to stop, go etc. When i came back and told the guy the dryer didn't work, he said you passed the sensor earlier and that I saw you doing that; now if you saw me passing the sensor earlier, couldn't you have stopped me or given some directions.. in summary: #FAIL If you are needing gas on your way to 101 or 237, there will be a (cheaper!) Shell station even closer to the freeway.

They just installed new pumps that ask questions while beeping like a smoke detector and playing TV commercials. Zip code? Car wash? Safeway rewards? Phone number? Receipt? The car wash is perpetually broken so I don't know why it was even asking. After putting up with all of that beeping and questions, I found that the hose presses against the octane buttons and I was getting the wrong gas. Cancelled and went to another station. read more

All these negative comments gosh! The gas price first are gas prices, what you gonna do it not the gas stations fault, secondly the service is amazing I always come in and there this older white guy that's is always their and I'm assuming he is the owner of it because of how he represents himself or he is just a very kind guy! I went here to just buy some things and use the restroom, and as a uber driver this guy rocks because he doesn't care if you use his restroom there was even this time he let me use it when he was cleaning it and it was very appreciate because it so hard to get someone to use their restrooms in the city! There is a horrible attendant with horrible accident old Indian man who accused me of not paying for car wash when I had proof I did and had just purchased cigarettes and gas from him RIDICULOUS AWFUL EXPERIENCE at this station then to make things worse he wouldn't even come see if something was wrong with car wash drive through he just sat his ass down denying me manager name and phone number for me to contact saying I didn't pay what a ridiculous person! I've been to Chevron gas stations all over California, even in bad neighborhoods sometimes. I have never had such crooked, scamming, lying, cheating service at ANY gas station before, especially at a Chevron as I've had at this one. For the past 6 months, every single time I get gas at THIS Chevron, the Safeway Rewards don't work! If you complain to the employees, they act stupid, ignorant or pretend they have no idea what is "wrong with the machine". Nothing is wrong with the machine, they just lie to you and refuse to give any customers their Safeway Rewards because they are too cheap. My car has problems and I can only purchase Chevron gas, and this Chevron is a lot closer to my house then the nearest HONEST Chevron. I don't even bother trying to use my Safeway Rewards here because the card readers at the pumps act like they are scanning your information and just have a really really really long loading time to process the Safeway card. Like probably 1-2 minutes you are just staring at the machine wondering why it isn't telling you its okay to start pumping gas. But no, the machine isn't even loading the savings because at the end when you pay for gas, you will receive no discount. HATE this Chevron!!! read more
