Overpriced products. My husband Bought filters for $6.99 whereas this product is sold for $2.50 within a 1 mile radius at a different store. Loose tobacco leaves = $12.00 vs $6.00 elsewhere. Yes, it's expected to be more expensive for a downtown location. But twice more is a stretch. read more

Story time: went in here last week to buy some cigarillos really quick. When the cigars were rung up, they cost $40. This seemed too expensive for what I was buying so I said something. The guy behind the counter only said, "very good quality". Since I was in a hurry and not prepared to barter, I bought them. But as I drove home something felt off. I called friends who have bought those same cigarillos and looked online. Same product: $21. And to top it off, the cigarillos were dry dry dry. One cigarillo snapped in half when I took it out of the container. Save your money and time. Go somewhere else. read more

Was across the street, so decided to hop in and check this place out after seeing the huge neon cigar sign in the window. Unlike most of my reviews, this is more of a "drive-by" than an actual in-depth review. First, the good - man, this mom and pop shop has a little bit of everything. More like a 7-11 clone in many ways (including, as previously stated, the tons of skin mags). The bad - smoke shops should be about...oh, I dunno...smoke? POOR selection of cigars. As a West Coast Cigars/Knickerbockers regular, I'm used to seeing hundreds and hundreds of choices....not like...oh, maybe 30? No major quality brands to be found...mostly the kind that high school kids want to look cool with. While the lady running the place was a sweet lady, and the place is definitely an interesting place, it is so NOT a smoke shop. read more

Mom and Pop, hole in the wall magazine and candy store. The next generation, son-in-law , seems to be taking over from the original couple. But they are keeping things the same. I mostly stop in for lottery tickets but I pick up a magazine now and then too. One thing I really like about them is that they often have several issues of the same magazine. Maybe they hold on to old issues until they sell, rather than shipping them back immediately like a Longs or Walgreens? The only store I've seen with such a wide selection of magazine topics was Tower, before it closed. I don't know if Rasputin, which replaced it, still has such a wide selection. Cramped with narrow aisles. Be prepared to accidentally touch or hit your fellow shoppers while in there. A must stop during Saturday morning Farmer's Market. read more

Searching for local smoke shop to buy ryo filters, I found this shop in yelp. High rating encouraged me to give it a try. I got the ryo filters alright. 3 bucks for 200 pcs pack. I googled a smokeshop in the Sunnyvale area where I work. The first one that came up was this Murphy Street smoke shop and was fairly close to where I was located. I was hoping to find a coil for my Vape which most smoke shops carry. I took the 10 minute drive to the smoke shop in downtown Sunnyvale only to find that it was closed and dark inside. If you're going to own a business please make sure that you have someone to service your customers. read more

Looks to be a legitimate cigar shop, in great location but it's not. Cigars are twice the price of any place locally, dried out and not very well stocked. When I ask guy selling me cigars he gave me some run around about the cost going way up, yet I buy cigars by my house and always good pricing. Place probably going out of business soon or something, that must be reason for low stock. Bummer, looks to be a great location. read more

Cool little shop for newspapers and cigarettes. I came in looking for cigars and found a small collection. When inspecting the cigars they felt a little dry. I recommend purchasing cigars from here if you are in desperate need of a cigar for the evening. Otherwise visit some of the cigar shops on my list if you want cigars for your humidor. read more

A great newsstand and magazine shop. Family owned and operated for as long as I can remember. While the name says "smoke shop", and there seems to be a large lottery ticket buying client base, it is also a great newsstand. They have a great selection of magazines that you won't find at the big book chains. They vary from automotive and writing, to art and architecture, and yes adult. If it's not on the shelf, just ask. They are happy to get it for you. My only wish is that they opened earlier. I go for coffee at The Bean Scene between 7 - 8am and it would be nice to pick up my paper and a magazine at the same time. Great downtown location. They pack a lot into a small convenient space. Skip the Barnes & Borders. Support this awesome local establishment. PS - They also have a decent selection of candy and snacks. read more
