I tried to buy a 6 pack of coors which was clearly labeled $7.99, got to the counter and the guy scanned each can and wanted to charge me $2 per can, coming out to almost $13 after tax, what a fuckin joke. Even showed the cashier the price that they have labeled in the cooler, he still wanted to overcharge me. What a shame, used to be my go to spot. I won't be back. read more

I've been going to Sun Liquor throughout the pandemic. This most recent visit there was a man who didn't wear a facemask who stood directly behind me and didn't give me 6 ft of space. When I asked him to wear a mask, he refused. When I asked the cashier about it, the cashier said he didn't care. I'm so disappointed to hear that the cashier doesn't care. This isn't the first time I've seen people without masks inside Sun Liquor, but every other time people have politely put one on when requested. I truly can say this is a new favorite spot of mine. Been here a dozen times now...Sun Liquor is family owned and operated by the most kind and humble family (including my favorite "Miss June".) She's the wife and 'leading lady' in this family. Her smile is huge and her spirits are vibrant. Every time I walk inside this store (especially in 106 degree weather) the AC is on full blast and the service is impeccable - two major inviting assets to any business. I usually stop in for a beverage and some Lotto Tickets, too. The store is tiny, but its organized in a way that is appealing and eye-candy status. It makes you want to buy more and more. The prices are perfect, not expensive and fresh in quality. Come to find out, they continuously win a spot in "Best Of" in the local City Paper continuously. I don't doubt it because they're absolutely stunning. From the cleanliness, service and items available - it's a liquor store worth the trip. read more

This place is good for buying individual sodas, small snacks, candy, toiletries in small quantities, and alcoholic beverages in the " airplane size" ( 3 oz or under). The prices on all of these items are quite reasonable, and if any of these are what you need this is the place to go. This is not a place to buy a half gallon of milk. At 3 bucks you could get a whole gallon somewhere else. A 2 liter bottle of soda is $2.99. That's high even by gas station store standards. A 6 pack of PBR cost 50 cents more than MSRP. Buy the small stuff here, but for anything more than a couple bucks, let the buyer beware. read more

Wow this place looks like it's been around since the 70s. Dig the lemon and lime tray that is next to the malt liquors. As for sodas, nothing too weird, though they do carry the A&W "float" beverages which I found you can reliably get from 7-Eleven. Lot's of flask shaped liquors to conveniently carry in your pocket during any function you care not to be at. Classy I tell you. read more

After having a relaxing manicure and pedicure at the spa next door, I felt like I should treat myself to a few lottery tickets, which I rarely buy. After I pulled five quick picks, I pulled out a credit card, and the old Asian man at the counter just about bit my head off for pulling out a credit card to pay for the lottery tickets. There was no sign at the lottery booth, but there was sign at the register next to all of the other written materials. Are we supposed to read every little bit of information on the counter before we make a purchase?! It would have been easy for him to say, "I'm sorry, but we don't accept credit cards for lottery tickets." Instead, he was extremely rude and grouchy. I'm glad that the $5 I spent is going directly to the lottery fund, and not a dime into the hands of the grouchy, wrinkled, gray-haired old man. Next time I feel like buying something after a pedicure in Sunnyvale, I will NOT be stopping at this ridiculous establishment. read more

Sun Liquor is small but very efficient. It is always clean and organized. It is owned and operated by very nice people, family operated. They are always friendly. Prices are good. The temperature is always comfortable. They sell fresh snacks, cigarettes and lotto tickets as well as liquors a few household products that come in handy when you want to avoid the large crowded store. read more

They allowed someone to use a fraudulent card multiple times! Thanks to this I was charged almost $500 -- what does a person need that is $500 a liquor store. Hopefully in the future they will be more discerning when someone uses the same card multiple times. Check ID! read more

Came here on a Friday night looking to buy snacks and drinks. The owners were very helpful in directing us where all the things we wanted were at. One thing that's great about this place is that they have a bunch of the candy from my childhood! They have a huge variety of chips, drinks, and even rare liquor that I've never even heard of!
