Ok-so don't judge me, but YES-I went to a Mexican restaurant in Maryland when I am from San Antonio, Texas. And I enjoyed it! Located in Arundel Mills mall, this place is great. A nice selection of your typical Mexican/Tex-Mex foods. I had the veggie fajitas and they were legit. And huge! The portions were amazing as was the service. Although the restaurant was quite busy, we were seated immediately, and not only was our waiter was on top of his game but he also never let us want for anything. Wow My experience at this Chevy's was incredible. It was definitely busy but the wait time was quick. The moment we sat down we were greeted with chips and salsa. The salsa was awesome. We also had the loaded nachos which were amazing with chicken and I was filled up with one plate which was shared so it should be enough for at least four people. We ordered 2 jalapeño cucumber margaritas that the menu shows is made with jalapeño infused Tanteo tequila and it was made with Jose Cuervo silver. I watched the bartender make the Vidarita or something similar in title that was stated to have Patron Silver and Gran Marnier and the bartender made it with Montezuma and GM....we said something to our bartender when we left about people expecting the advertised liquors to be used in the drinks they ordered and we said we knew Tanteo wasn't used in our drinks and he nodded and said yeah I know..... Don't get anything other than house drinks here because you will be paying more for a drink that is a glorified house drink. Be ware. read more

The only reason why I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because of our lovely waiter Dave, who was the nicest waiter that I've ever encountered period. I opted for the pick four option. I got the chimichanga, the chicken and beef tamales and the stuffed pepper. The only thing that I enjoyed was the chimichanga and the stuffed and supposedly fried pepper was soggy, the beef and chicken tamale was dry. Not perfect, but the flavors evoke the right memories. My favorite item is the large, frozen bulldog. Sweet, tart, salty, wonderful goodness. Perfect way to end a long week. I'm also a big fan of their fajitas and enchiladas. During happy hour, the nachos are my favorite discounted item, but the volume of toppings can be hit or miss. I only came here because I was staying at a hotel across the street and who doesn't love some potential HH priced margaritas​ and appetizers. The happy hour was decent, and the queso was okay. I don't know how to explain it, I just wasn't impressed but it wasn't bad... Fond of trying new Tex-Mex places, we decided to give Chevy's a try. I was pleased that we were presented with a basket of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa upon being seated. I thoroughly enjoyed the tortillas, which were warm, toasted, and crispy. For the main entry, we tried the mix and match any two fajitas for $17.99 with slow-roasted carnitas and sizzling steak as our meats of choice. The meats were deliciously grilled and soft enough to be enjoyed in a fajita. Along with the meat, the fajita was served with sides of diced tomato, lettuce, sour cream, sweet tomatillo, avocado, onion, rice, and beans. The tortilla itself was freshly made (we witnessed a worker cranking out tortillas using a tortilla machine), and the tortilla came wrapped so that they stayed warm throughout the meal. Each person received 3 tortillas, and the toppings were enough to be shared between two people. Overall, the menu selections and quality of food were unremarkable - I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone who is searching for authentic tex-mex. It was an ok value for the money due to the sufficient portions, but did not completely satisfy the palate.
