Our hotel, Chateau Canmore, gave us 10% off coupon to this place. Lots of parking right in front of the restaurant. Place was 50% full Saturday 11AM. Peach Mango Smoothie - 10/10, little pricey but isn't everything. Food came faster than I expected which was a pleasant surprise! I had the Mountaineer - 10/10. Potatoes were for sure my favorite, sausage was not but boyfriend liked them. Boyfriend got the Montreal Smoked Meat Bene Poutine. 9/10. Smoked meat was 10/10 but boyfriend found it all got too soggy for his liking as it has both hollandaise and gravy. Gravy was a little bland for my liking. Overall a good place for classic breakfast items.

This was so good! This place for brunch was perfect. Everything tasted so good and fresh, the vegetarian poutine was delicious. They have a good menu for kids and plenty for the adults. Portions were huge that you can share with others.

I really enjoyed this place for breakfast, there were several options on the menu and I opted for the bene combo, fruity crepe and feta spinach benedict. I loved that I could get a combination of the two and it was the perfect amount. My serve was fantastic and very attentive. The restaurant is so cute in this mountain town & is great for a lovely breakfast or brunch.

The food was sooo good. All my friends enjoyed their meals. You have to order a shaft and a bottle of champagne for brunch mimosas. Our service was great and made the experience fun. We sat on the patio for the beautiful views.

If I could go back, I'd most definitely go back to brunch at this place in Canmore, Alberta. This is a beautiful brunch spot that serves all day breakfast. Their beautiful French inspired decor makes the place more attractive. The staff was really friendly and welcoming which is why you need to re-read the first line in my post. Coming to food, we tried a lot of different items including: Montreal smoked meat - egg benedict combo with Butter and Cinnamon crepe Strawberry and cream cheese French toast classic poutine Salmon served with potatoes and veggies Quesadilla Literally all the items that we tried were delicious and like I said if it was possible, I'd go back to this place every month to have brunch.

Pretty good and affordable breakfast/brunch place in Canmore. I've eaten here several times and have quite enjoyed it. Until I hear of other nice breakfast spots in Canmore, I will continue to come here. They can get pretty packed so make sure to time your arrival right! Every time I've gone here the staff have always been so awesome. They have seating on both sides of the restaurant and a nice outdoor patio for the summer. I've had their crepes, eggs benny, breakfast plate, waffles and it's all been delicious! The only thing I wish they'd serve their salmon benny with is fresh dill. The breakfast potatoes are good and I like how they are crispy. They also serve lunch items which I've seen but never tried before. As it's in a hotel lot, parking can be a bit tricky to find. I've always been able to find parking but some days were a challenge. I can't wait to visit this place again!

Our breakfast was very average, it hit the spot but was nothing spectacular. The menu was very large with a lot of great options. This place is definitely more expensive, especially if you want to add protein to a pancake-like dish or add real maple syrup. I found it odd that a shot glass of maple syrup was $2. I was also disappointed there was no espresso on the menu. I did appreciate that there were multiple gluten free options such as gluten free waffles. It was okay, but nothing amazing. Our server was fine, but didn't seem to like tourists.

We stayed at Chateau Canmore and that's where Chez Francois is at. Before we checked out, we went for late breakfast and it was a good decision. I had the Snoked Salmon eggs Benedict, my daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of maple bacon, and my husband got the Quebec combo. All were delish! I am not a fan of potatoes, but their side of fried potatoes were heavenly! Definitely recommend this place! Good food, great staff!

The breakfast food is amazing. I have the combo egg bene and sweet crepe. The food is delicious and the fresh fruit crepe is excellent.

You know when you are on the first day of your trip, and you go for breakfast and suddenly you all agree you need to switch things around so you can come back to this restaurant again? May I introduce Chez Francois! The first day I got the crepe/benny combo. Apple crepes were quite good. But the second day none of us were fooling around with anything but the Benedict with perfect medium-poached eggs and liquid gold Hollandaise. The sand-dollar style potato fries are a treat, as is the fresh fruit. There is a waiter here who reminds one that serving is truly an art. It's a pleasure to watch him interact with people. An even bigger pleasure to have him remember you when you return. There are two sizeable rooms off the lobby you enter (the restaurant is located in the Quality Inn), elevator access to washrooms and Covid protocols are observed.

Chez François is a lovely Quebecois restaurant in Canmore and it's a must to go if you ever find yourself over there. It's great for family brunches. It's always busy so go early. But to be honest, the waiting time is approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Their menu offers so many options for breakfast and drinks that it's kinda hard to choose one. The staff is fast and efficient. Love they're not in a rush and they take their time to answer any questions you have from the menu. We got our meals and drinks really quickly. I got the Canadian Back Bacon eggs benedict and a cappuccino. Both were great! The hollandaise sauce is so flavourful and the fries were great. Definitely coming back soon!

Today, I dropped by a treated myself to Duck Confit Eggs Benedict. It was a refreshing change and needless to say it tasted delicious with a nice subtle flavor to the duck. Could have used a little more hollandaise sauce but very good nonetheless. I was seated very quickly eventhough it was busy probably because I chose to be seated inside rather on the patio. It was a very nice sunny day so the patio was packed. Chet , my waiter was a delight to talk to and he was very attentive. The decor is always relaxing creating a very chilled atmosphere. I never feel rushed.

Had a nice ambience with plenty of seating inside and outside. However we found it was a little chilly inside the restaurant, especially near the windows where we were seated. The staff was friendly, but we found that service was a little slow even though it was not busy at the time of our visit. We appreciated the variety of breakfast items. It was definitely catered to international visitors. However, the food itself tasted just average. We ordered the Eggs Benedict with avocado and tomato, pancakes, French toast, and the omurice. The eggs Benedict came out cold, the omurice needed some additional ingredients for flavoring, and the pancakes and French toast came out dry. They charged us extra for a little tablespoon of extra maple syrup. The only tasty item was the smashed potatoes. Overall, would not recommend this place. It didn't seem like the price matched the quality of the food or the service.

There are about 10 spots available in the private parking lot. While it was too cold to enjoy the patio during our visit, outdoor dining is available in warmer weather, and the mountain views from the restaurant are stunning. FOOD: 1. Firecracker Calamari (3/5) - Crispy calamari with sautéed peppers, soy, and sesame. Unfortunately, this appetizer had more side ingredients than actual calamari. It's shareable between 3-4 people, but I wouldn't order it again. 2. Canmore Pasta Bison Ravioli (3/5) - Served with a creamy au jus sauce, sautéed mushrooms, and parmesan. I didn't try this one personally, but those who did said it was just "OK." It comes with one slice of garlic toast. 3. Chicken Nirvana (4/5) - A coconut-based gravy with ginger, green chili, curry leaves, basmati rice, and Kerala parotta. The curry was a bit watery for my taste, and I wished the spices were more pronounced. That said, the parotta was nicely crisp -- always a win. 4. Alberta Beef Short Ribs (3/5) - Served with vegetables and gravy. I had a few bites and liked it, but something felt like it was missing -- I couldn't quite put my finger on what. 5. Atlantic Salmon (5/5) - Paired with a tarragon leek lemon emulsion and vegetables. I rarely order salmon at non-Japanese restaurants, but this was an exception. The salmon was perfectly cooked -- not dry at all -- and the emulsion brought everything together beautifully. The service was OK. The server was pleasant, and our drinks never touched the bottom. However, we had an early dinner time, and they were out of two items on the menu. Would I come back? Maybe. I'll explore other places before coming back.
