We ordered the Ultimate Benedict and Rustlers Breakfast. The portions were very generous. The Ultimate Benedict includes two Benedicts and hash browns. I loved that they asked how I would like the eggs and you can choose between soft or hard Benedicts, depending on your preference. Also, their hash browns are delicious and crispy. We also got the Rustlers Breakfast, which comes with eggs, smoked ham, bacon, sausages, and pancakes. I especially enjoyed the pancakes. They were soft, fluffy, and light. I didn't feel too heavy even after eating two of them. The only thing is that the waitress asked us whether we needed maple syrup and we didn't know that there was an extra charge for it. Came around 8am and it wasn't too busy thankfully. It was our last breakfast while in Canmore and I'm glad we came here. Got the Rustler breakfast with hashbrowns and 1 pancake (upcharge). Wife got the Supreme Omelette. Rustler breakfast came with 2 hunky sausages and thiccc bacon. It really hit the spot, although I wish the hashbrowns were bit crispier, I'm sure you can request it. The pancake sat awhile before eating, but it was the fluffiest, but with a slight hint of crisp with each bite. I'm not sure how they did it, but I ate the whole meal! Normally I just do 1-2 bites of pancakes but I couldn't stopped. Probably my favorite classic breakfast I've had to this day! Wife said the omlette was good, but slightly overcooked. I opted for the fresh fruit cup and to my surprise, I was able to switch out the toast for hash browns instead! Got to try everything I wanted. Came in around 10 am VERY BUSY, for a Saturday morning. Greeted right way,with pleasantries. Was asked to wait until they clean a spot, waited only a minute and they had a table for us. Waitresses came to our table within a decent amount of time. She got our coffee right away with a glass of cold water for myself and my companion. Sadly the coffee was Very weak, and Luke warm. She took our meal down and my companion asked if there is any onions in the hash brown she replied yes, but she could request no onions. Which is what they wanted. Our meal came out fast even though it was really busy. The hash brown had zero flavour, sadly. The kitchen and the waitress both listed to no onions! My oatmeal was fine along with the fresh fruit in the cup, wish they put on a bit more blueberry after all you are paying extra. We would go here again! After pool trip. Ordered Oatmeal and rustlers breakfast with upgraded toast to French toast/GF. Arrived around 1:15 and we were sat immediately. Food came out super quick and server was proactive on offering us options that gave me my desired GF French toast as an add on, instead of a meal. Saved a few dollars here however the food shared between two of us with add ons was more than reasonable. We enjoyed the view, large windows and attentative service. To go from good to Great, Craig's needs to add meat to their skillet, at least as an option. The most common skillet found in great breakfast places is Corned Beef skillet (my favourite) but you could also offer chopped up beef sausages. Plus lots of melted cheese. If this was on the menu, I would be there every day! read more

Do yourself a huge favor and look up Alton Brown's recipe and try it, you'll know what hollandaise sauce is then and wonder why you served crap before. Left extremely dissatisfied as the restaurant closed early at 1pm instead of 2pm. It would have been acceptable except the party in front of us arrived at the same time and was seated, however, we were turned away "due to arriving too close to closing." Would not recommend to any travelers as you may make the drive and not be seated. read more

Nice family coffee shop atmosphere. Stopped in for breakfast with my family. All walked out happy and full so we went back again the next day for lunch. The home made oatmeal with blueberries (comes with brown sugar and regular milk or almond milk), club sandwich and chocolate chip pancakes were stand out favorites. I love breakfast. Especially when it comes with bacon. I also love it when you can have a late breakfast after a big sleep in, and this place offers all day breakfast. Every single day. And yes, most of the breakfast options come with bacon. They have a great breakfast selection, with at least 20 different items ranging from omelettes to eggs benedict to various options with different amounts of eggs, bacon and sausages etc. I had been craving waffles for weeks and so I went for the Waffle Combo - waffles with one egg and two pieces of bacon ($10.50). My friend went for one of the eggs benedict options which came with a choice of sides including hashbrowns ($12.70) and coffee ($2.75). The waffles were so good and had obviously just been freshly cooked. There was no maple syrup but the pancake syrup went down really well. The server was a young girl that was friendly and pretty good about keeping our coffees refilled. The cream for the coffee also came out super cold which was a nice change from most other diners where I usually find it's been sitting there for quite some time. In short, a bit hungover from the night before and looking for a decent (and oh so slightly greasy) breakfast at the hour of your choosing for around $10-$12? This is the place for you! They also have a bunch of tables with (well worn) booth style chairs to add some extra comfort to your hangover cure dining experience. Showed up on a Sunday expecting a wait. Prior to our visit we stopped for coffee (with almond milk). When we arrived there was hardly a line, and we just waited about 5 minutes. When we were sat the waitress immediately gave us attitude for bringing coffee from outside it. There is no sign that says no outside food or drink. While I would never bring food in here a coffee with almond milk is hardly an offense. However this woman made about 4 backhanded remarks about our drinks. If she had quietly asked if we could finish and throw out I would've been happy but she did it in front of the entire upper level. I asked her if this crappy establishment even serves almond milk and she said no. Even asking us to put our drinks off the table so others don't think it's ok to bring outside drinks in. First off lady calm down. I'm not that much of an influencer that I would start this trend in Canmore. She doesn't wear a name tag or I would 100% call her out in here. I even ordered a hot coffee to make her happy because she obviously thought because I brought coffee she was going to lose $2 from my order for their crappy coffee. Go to the Summit Cafe instead. Best kept secret in town in order to achieve breakfast Nirvana. Nothing like a hearty combination of eggs and meat and pancakes to start off your day of hiking and sightseeing in the beautiful Canmore/Banff area. Try their blueberry pancakes and ranchers breakfast! The only reason we're giving this a four out of five is because we heard the waitress yelling at the cook and because some of the hashbrowns had not been cleaned up under our table that had fallen from the previous guests. We also deducted one star because they often try to put you in a booth facing the parking lot rather than the mountain. Demand mountain view scenery! Good service good food good times. read more

This is a little greasy spoon diner that's just as you're coming out of the mountains (or before you go in, depending on which direction you're going). The food was actually pretty good. However, the service had a lot to be desired. It took a long time to seat us, even though there were employees around. When we finally got seated, it took FOREVER for the server to get our order. The service was efficient, and the food was delivered to our table very quickly, especially with the variety of dishes ordered. Was I overwhelmed? Not really. Honestly, not very good. We ate brunch here yesterday, and the food was average-to-bad... Blackened, greasy sausages and below-average coffee with dry eggs. The servers were nice, but they forgot our water, extra napkins, and even the syrup for my wife's unpleasant-looking pancakes. When you stop at a place like this, which is to say a non-franchise hole-in-the-wall, you expect that more effort would be placed on serving good, unique food that's better than the junk you'd get at a Humpty's or a Tim Hortons. I went here twice for breakfast on my long weekend in Canmore. The restaurant looks pretty big, with some tables on the main floor where you walk in, and more up a few stairs. I'm not sure how many since I didn't sit over there, but it seems like that's where all the big groups were being seated. The place was busy both mornings around 10am, but it was a long weekend in the summer, so that probably has something to do with it. My party of two didn't have to wait. I always love a place that serves all day breakfast. I don't want my first meal of the day to be restricted! Prices are average to slightly high. An omelette is $11.99, for example. The first day I got (three pieces of) bacon and two eggs for $8.99, served with hashbrowns and toast. I couldn't finish it, so the next day I got the 'Eye Opener' - one egg, two bacon, fruit and toast for $8.29. Ya, the bigger one is a better value, but why waste? I really appreciated the 'Light Eaters' section on the breakfast menu, as I can rarely finish my plate. Everything tasted as it should, and the bacon was better than usual breakfast places with a nice smokey flavour. The two different waitresses I had were both nice, calm and pleasant. The bus boy and cash register girl were good, too. Not right in the heart of town, but a good pick nonetheless. read more

A great place for a good hearty breakfast in Canmore. I went twice before spending all day at the Nordic Centre and both days the breakfast kept me running well into the afternoon. I had three eggs, five pieces of bacon, hashbrowns and toast for $11.99 the first morning. The bacon was a little salty for me, but other than that, I was pretty happy with everything. I was there before 8 a.m. so it was quiet, so my food was out very quickly. I was there at around 8:30 the second morning and it was a bit busier but my food was still quick to arrive. Five pieces of bacon was a bit too much for me the day before, so I had two eggs, three pieces of bacon and pancakes ($9.99). The pancakes were delicious. If you're going skiing/boarding, this is a great place to get fueled up for the day as it was quick and very filling. read more

Meh is right. They need to update their decor. It's run down and I worry about the cleanliness. The decor was dated and the seating was cramped. Furniture is run down and needs to be replaced. Breakfast was like any other place I've been. There was nothing special about this place. If you are looking for a Humpty's/Denny's equivalent in Canmore fo here, but be aware that depending on the time it can get busy. The staff are great here though. I will give them credit. read more

Our choice to stop here was one of convenience and french toast. We were on the way home from camping for fathers day and needed some food that wasn't in Banff (busy) so we headed to Canmore for all of our fuel. Long line up, tonnes of un-bussed tables and generally a bit of confusion before sitting down. During a busy time cranky baby boomers in pairs were allowed to relocate to 4-tops...kind of strange. Anyway. Standard breakfast food - frozen hash browns, so-so coffee, I'd be afraid that the veggies would have come in a frozen bag like the browns so I didn't order anything veggie. Toast was toasted ok...not over buttered...some places are just disgusting. Syrup and butter in pre-packed containers. Even our 7 year old opted out of finishing her french toast. It's a gas station restaurant, not sure what to expect but we won't be back. Hey, at least it's not "Chez Francios" down the street - shudder.
