Tried this little Vietnamese Asian fusion place for the first time. Since the closure of my…read morefavorite place a couple of years ago because of covid, I was in search for a similar place since. This place is very small. I think maybe 30 person can sit max? The menu is typical Asian fusion. I took the tao special which is a small house soup, fried roll and general tao chicken. They have combination that offer similar offer, unsure why it's just not called a combination but no big deal. It was good. The soup do remind me of charme cochinchinne home made soup. The fried roll was nice. Something weird is instead of giving you a dip, they gave you a bottle of the dressing that you put on it like sirup on pancake. The general tao was cooked properly, not dry, not hard, and the sauce was good too. It was a bit too liquid but still very good and in good proportion, enough that I could use my rice at the end to take the rest. My girlfriend took combination E which is beef with house soup and fried roll. It was also good. The little downside was the service. I felt it was cold, very slow and I'm not sur we were getting understood. My girlfriend received a fried roll but not me. When we asked if I had one they said yes. What happen is once we received our plate, she had a fried roll in it! So in short, the tao special comme with a seperate fried roll served after the house soup but the combination serve it in the plate. Would been good to know since we were wondering if something was missing. But aside of that, very good food, I'll come back for more.

Came here for my dads birthday kind of mixed feeling about this place the service was beyond good …read more I say this because I was went a Vegan friend and they also to eat any soy or tofu gluten free so a bit complicated for a restaurant that doest specialize in that but the waiter and chefs went out of there way to make them something a bunch of veggies cooked to her perfection. But unfortunately for me my beef pad Thai was nothing special too much soy sauce and they also had vegetables that you don't traditionally see in a pad Thai like Broccoli zucchini's not my thing wasn't bad but was far from great . 4 starts is mostly based off the service if I go just of the pad Thai taste wise 3 . You can bring your own wine which is good .

Enjoyed two meals here over the last two weeks and I expect to be back again for more! Maison Minh…read morehas a variety of Asian based food with a focus of traditional Vietnamese dishes. For what it has to offer on the island of franchises, it's a nice gem to visit on occasio in Laval. This placed recently changed names from Chez Tung to Maison Minh (new ownership) and the decor was upgraded. The interior of the resto is clean and Asian themed. The service is friendly, chill even and both times the whole experience went by fast. The process of sitting down to order food. then the foot prep to being served your food takes about 15 minutes. This makes it a great as a lunch option. Lemon water is served. First meal I enjoyed was a won ton soup followed by peanut butter chicken with crispy spinach. The second time it was grilled chicken and beef with side vermicelli and spring roll. Everything was on-point and packed with flavor. Portions are generous. The menu is thick with recipes with "table d'hote" and "lunch express" options. Variety is plentiful except for Bahn Mi..... WHY CAN'T ANYONE MAKE BAHN MI IN LAVALLLLLL. Priced tag is ok. Will be back.
