Very professional, reasonable cost, and prompt on time! My toilets were running very slow and I called 10:30 at night to ask for a non-emergency appointment for the next day. Gary said he could come out first thing the next morning between 8:30 and 9 AM. Gary arrived early at 8:10 AM with his assistant Brian and they went right to work. He reviewed all of the plumbing pipes in the basement and symptoms to create a solution to solve my plumbing problem. Gary then explained his plans with lots of details and quoted the total project price before doing any work. He found sewer blockage at the foundation wall which he solved by rodding from the outside clean out back towards the house to eliminate making any mess in the house. Gary also rodded out the whole sewer line to make sure that the pipes were completely clear. He then used a camera system to view the complete sewer pipes inside and outside the house to verify that there were no other hidden problems in the line all the way to the main city sewer tap connection. After a thorough job like that I now have a fast running sewer line and absolutely no worries. Total repair time was less than 2 hours. I highly recommend this company which was found using Yelp and all of the good reviews that were posted. I can't say enough about how much I LOVE Mike and Allison and City Wide Sewer! Yesterday afternoon around 4PM I went down to my basement to grab something from my computer only to discover that "dirty" water (which turned out to be some sewage mixed) was all over my laundry room floor, hallway and by the pumps in the front closet. I called about 5 different plumbers to see if they could come as well as a ball park price for fixing. Mike was the only who called me back after being told I would have to let him know and he tried to troubleshoot with me to see if we could determine the problem over the phone. He gave several suggestions to see if maybe I could get it the sump/ejector pump to kick in. When all failed, I told him I would have to get back to him. He called me back ten minutes later with a couple of other suggestions that might work to fix it. The fact that he called back to try to help me fix it with no payout to him showed the level of integrity he had. When all failed, this is what made my decision to have him come. The main sewer line for my house was blocked by something. Everything was draining into the bathtub. I called City Wide and spoke with Gary. After speaking for a few minutes, he said he knew what my problem most likely was and asked when I'd like him to come out. I received a call from Gary while he was in route to let me know of his ETA. he arrived exactly when he said he would. GREAT service! We had back up water coming in the house with just a little rain. Got 3 estimates from other plumbers telling us the same thing. My initial call prompted Gary & his brother to assess the problem within the half hour. I required a clean out installed outside. The same evening they used the camera to check clog and locate my line outside. Next day, they returned with an Oak Lawn permit. The dug a trench for the clean out. Removed old pipe and rotted pipe. Then, they installed the clean out. They continued to rot out pipe. Once un clogged, they used the camera to confirm job was complete. The rotting & clean out come with a warranty. I am actually hear to write a review for what Gary and his crew do not do. Gary brought his crew out to look at a flooding issue that we were having at our laundry mat. Gary and his crew worked for three hours. Finally they found that the problem was on City property, needed a hefty bond that they didn't have, and so Gary sent us to another plumber that he trusted and who had the bond. After that Gary didn't charge us a thing. He said he didn't solve the problem, so we shouldn't pay them. Three hours of work. Needless to say, I recommend Chicago City Wide Sewer. I am confident they can help you and do an amazing job. Came home from our wedding in florida and found our basement flooded. They showed up 20 mins later at the end of THEIR day and stopped the leak. Unfortunately the valve is as old as my house and it started again a few days later, which Gary warned me may happen and told me to keep in touch. When it did start again they were out immediately after the call and did the repair at minimal cost and eliminated all of our headaches. So I called Gary from Chicago City Wide sewer because of all the good reviews I read on here and fb. Our basement shower was backing up and he came out literally within a couple hours after calling. He found the problem instantly... Our ejector bump was burnt out! He gave me an estimate that couldn't be beat! Seriously... We had tremendous sewer issues and no other place could give me a straight answer...that is until Gary showed up. He's a honest professional that knows his stuff. My basement flooded 4/30/2016, my ejector pump and back up sump both failed and I had at least 3 inches of standing water in my finished basement. Gary came to my home immediately and provided professional service! He was there at the time he said he'd be there and fixed my sump pump and replaced my ejector pump in record time. Friday morning I get a call at work that our toilet and shower are backing up in our new house. She called city wide (who we had worked with on a smaller job before this) and they came out right away. We quickly discovered that the house has no clean out and in order to be able to rod out the sewer line we were going to have to install one. They were very professional, and got the needed permits and inspections right away and had it in so we could use the water again by Saturday afternoon. I had a bad sewage back up problem. The smell on outside of my house was nauseating. When I called Gary on Sunday evening, he came out to see me on Monday morning. I asked for him to rod the sewer. It didn't seem to help. He assesed the situation and found the problem. I had a broken sewer pipe and roots througout the line. He started the job right away. He came by a few days later to follow up and make sure I was happy with the service. I must say that his pricing was more than fair. I called this company at about 6 AM Saturday morning. 10 minutes later Gary gave me a call back I told him my sewer was backed up he explained the procedure and that he couldn't tell me what was really wrong he had to come and see it. I had a leaky dishwasher and a bad valve under the sink with water draining into the condo below. CCWS came out on a Sunday when it was hard to reach anyone else. The plumber was friendly and it seemed like the problem got fixed. When the dishwasher was still leaking the plumber came back out to check the work and it was determined it was an appliance problem. They stood behind the work they do and refunded me part of the original fee since the problem had not been solved. I need to get a new dishwasher, the plumber did all they could. read more
