One Star is Too Generous -- A Year-Long Nightmare with Lowe's Patio Door Installation…read more If you're thinking of using Lowe's for patio door installation, run in the other direction. What should've been a simple project turned into a year-long disaster filled with incompetence, miscommunication, and total lack of accountability. It took over 12 months, 100+ emails, and dozens of phone calls to finally get the job barely finished. The original installation was botched. No one followed up. Every time I called, I was passed around like a hot potato between departments that had no idea what was going on. They promised callbacks that never came. They scheduled visits that were never confirmed or simply didn't happen. I had to chase them down constantly just to get basic updates. What's worse? Absolutely no compensation for the countless hours I wasted, the stress, or the inconvenience of having a wrecked install, allowing elements inside, losing heat/AC and being an eyesore in my home for months. They damaged my walls, used high expansion foam and smeared the trim and new door itself, used a 2x4 to cover up the hole above the door because the door was measured wrong- that 2x4 eventually fell and almost struck me coming in the house. Lowe's did nothing to make it right on their own accord. Zero accountability. Zero urgency. Zero customer service. I had to fight and claw my way to get the slowest of responses. Every phone call was a shouting match, every email was condescending and had no concrete answers. It took over 14 months to get the situation fixed, they originally wanted to refund me and call it even. EVEN? the door needed to be replaced after the poor install job and it wasn't the right size! They wanted to get rid of me at no cost to them. They eventually fixed it 14months later and they offered me $150 for my trouble. $150 for 14months of headache and heating and cooling bills that were out of control due to the air gaps and energy loss. That compensation of $150 came out to $10 for every month I had to deal with the door and them. UNREAL. Bottom line: They originally said they would fix the wall and then they realized it was too much work and took back their offer to fix it. I would never recommend Lowe's installation services to anyone. Save yourself the stress. Go literally anywhere else. The safety of a big box company being reputable is a myth, the bigger the store the less they care about a single customer's issue.

The Lock body set needed for this decorative handle is unavailable. Never received the screw trim strips that should have came with the door. Spoke to the owner once in June when order was so delayed. Paid in full at time of order by the way. Mike Laird the owner said call him anytime time with any other issues. I've now left him five messages with no return call. I have a beautiful new front door and a screen door that has no handles and no caps to cover installation screws. FOX Hone Center NOT RECOMMENDED!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

The work involved resodding a backyard that had gone wild with violets and other invasive plants. They dug out some overgrown horseradish plants that had spread considerably, they trimmed and edged the flower beds, and everything is neat and clean. Out front, they resodded and put in new timber borders. This was real work, and they did it well. Their bid came in slightly higher than one other, but I got the sense from talking with the owner that I had nothing to worry about, and that was true. I would not hesitate to call on them again for help. Not at all.

One of the biggest challenges was that all of the demolition debris had to be taken out through a very tight access point, but the crew handled it efficiently without any issues. From start to finish, Daniel and his team were organized, professional, and incredibly hardworking. They removed the shed, demolished and hauled away all of the old concrete, cleared the overgrown lawn, and completely transformed the space. The quality of the materials they used was excellent. They built a beautiful stone patio exactly the way we envisioned it, installed an elegant pathway accented with Mexican river rock, and created two separate areas--one for our pool and another with fresh sod for a small lawn. The finished project turned what was once an unusable backyard into a peaceful retreat where our family loves spending time. What impressed me most was the pride they took in their work. Every detail was carefully completed, and the craftsmanship really shows. Their pricing was fair, and after seeing the final result, I can confidently say the project was worth every penny. Unfortunately, the installation completely failed to meet that standard, and the customer service follow-up was non-existent. The discharge point they installed sits in a depression, meaning the water constantly overflows and sheets directly across the public sidewalk instead of draining properly. This created a slip hazard and left a permanent puddle in the yard. Because the water was left to sit stagnant, my grass is now dying and turning orange from iron bacteria. When I reached out to Daniel with photos of the flooding, he told me to 'wait 10 days' for the ground to drain. I waited the full timeframe, but the problem persisted. I reached out multiple times afterward to get a plan together to fix the grading or extend the line. Daniel completely stopped responding and abandoned the project. I am now having to hire a second landscaping company to fix the problem.
