There are a few different stages at this location, so pay attention to which show you have tickets for (we were definitely waiting at the wrong door). The show was absolutely hilarious! Definitely not kid friendly or for those easily offended! It's a mix of improv and sketch comedy that keeps you laughing all night long. I honestly wish it was longer! I didn't partake in any drinks or food, but the servers were super friendly and came around often! I'd absolutely return for another show!

Then, you head over to the studio and dance alongside children, college students, older folks and other friendly types, all while local bands lip-sync to their songs in front of you. Oh, and there's a talking rat named RATSO that tells jokes. Best part: it's FREE! And they usually set out free snacks. Sometimes there are special celebrity guests. THE Paul Frank was featured one time. I enjoy going with my friends for something different to do. And believe me, it is VERY different. Sometimes it smells a little in the studio, like the smell of not having regular shower access, but it's part of the charm. And FUN! Tapings are normally Saturday or Sunday afternoons, but they vary. Viable Public Access television is going the way of the dinosaur but, somehow, C-A-G-G has managed to tape over 700 episodes and entertain kids young and old throughout the Midwest. I didn't quite know what to expect. It seemed way too simple to just show up to a building, pay nothing, smile for the camera, and dance to music. But, that's exactly what you do. You show up at the appointed tape time (it's TV; time rules all), you should be dressed in some sort of catchy costume (it's TV; stand out), get ready to take direction (it's TV; follow the rules), and show the world what you've got (it's TV; some rapper has to be looking for a rump-shaker). For my taping, there were monsters, robots, kittens, princesses, wizards, and the little kids dressed up in costume as well. The director said "Action" and the very first refrain I heard was "I whip mah herre back an' forth!" Dammit! Another Smith has infiltrated something that was good and pure. On cue, all the little ones started bobbing and moving to their braided-leaders commands. Startled, I began to think ill of my plan until the evil sounds of the littlelest Smith were drowned out by Motown... and then The Jackson 5... and then LIVE, IN-STUDIO DOO-WOP! What? What is going on here? Nothing makes sense. This is awesome. Miss Mia's job is to interview the musical guests and keep the action moving. She does an excellent job at both. And as pleasant as she is to watch in action, my true attention was trained on Ratso -- the puppet rat MC who calls the shots. Perhaps my rapt attention to a talking rat over an attractive, music-loving female speaks volumes to my current lack of a dating life. I had a fantastic time etching my way into a piece of Chicago broadcast history and I think most everyone would feel the same.

On the day of the show we lined up outside for a few minutes and quickly and efficiently went through the security process. We were seated quickly . The show was 30 minutes and went by so quickly. I regularly bring visitors to The Annoyance, as it's a great way to spend a small amount of money to showcase great Chicago comedy. We arrived on time, were seated, and the concert started on time. The acoustics are great and our seats were in a good spot. We used their concession stand to get water and snacks - because we bought our tickets and paid for the concessions using a Chase card, we were given a big discount - nice. We'll continue to go to the Chicago theater when they have shows we want to see. It's a great theater and a wonderful experience.

I like its ornate décor, the stadium style seats set-up which offers good stage view, the acoustics, and the overall aesthetics of this venue which makes it an ideal place to watch live events. On my recent (late June 2026) visit to see The Human League, Soft Cell, and Alison Moyet for the Generations tour, overall, I had a good experience. There were couple of issues that we had such as lack of cool air circulation inside the auditorium (it was hot and sweaty) and a couple of people standing throughout the show to dance, blatantly blocking other peoples' view and not caring about being inconsiderate and uncourteous to people behind them to which the theatre ushers had no problem with it. Otherwise, I have not had issues at this venue. So, 4.5 stars but rounded up to five. I look forward to going back here.

I haven't been to the Rosemont Theater in forever, but I do recall it always being a positive experience. Parking?: Decently priced and close to the entrance Security?: Present enough to make you feel safe. The process for checking bags and being [metal detector] wanded was smooth. Merch?: Conveniently located in the main lobby, well displayed, and smooth to make a purchase. I had eaten dinner prior to arriving, but the concession stand looked to have decently priced snacks. The theater looks a little um, retro(?), but it was a gift to be in a beautiful theatre over a giant sports stadium. The sound quality was great, the seats were comfortable, and I could see Charlie very well, even if I chose to sit during a slower song due to the staggered, stadium seating. Traffic on the way there was a little slow due to a concert at Allstate Arena, the Chicago Dogs home opener, and Anime Central, but that was on me to be responsible and leave at an appropriate time. I had looked up the set list on SetlistFM so I knew there was no encore. As soon as that last note of "Changes" rang out into the air, I was a cloud of myself as I briskly walked to the car to get out of the parking lot, haha. What a joy to enjoy a concert and be back on my own driveway in 23 minutes!

Couldn't find an usher even when I was calling out "HELP!" so I had to go to the lobby. The girl downstairs got her manager who got a wheelchair. Mom ended up in the emergency room with 6 stitches and testing until 2am. We didn't see the show AT ALL and they won't refund our tickets. A nightmare experience!
