Came here for a weekend show in the summer. Parking in their lot is $25 cash, which we did for the convenience of it. There were a lot of parking attendants in the lot and security staff when we got there. The inside of the theater has stairs to the second floor / balcony area and stalls for drinks and food. We only purchased two water bottles $17 total which is hefty but you're not allowed to bring in food or drinks. There were only drinking fountains but no water bottles filling stations. The theater itself does not have enough air conditioning for the size so it was quite humid and hot in the space especially for an almost sold out show. The area outside the theater does have air conditioning. There's only two small elevators and the outside theater space is all carpeting. The seats are relatively small but did have good cushioning. We appreciated the balcony seats because even if you're seated behind taller people you can still have great view of the stage. If you want to be close to center view in the balcony, book in section 206 in seats 8-10. We waited a bit after the show to avoid the crush of people leaving the venue which worked out well. We had parked near the stage entrance to get a glimpse of the performers leaving and then could leave right after. read more

I was gifted two tickets from a friends to see Charlie Puth's Whatever's Clever World Tour at his 5.15.2026 Rosemont stop for my birthday! I haven't been to the Rosemont Theater in forever, but I do recall it always being a positive experience. Parking?: Decently priced and close to the entrance Security?: Present enough to make you feel safe. The process for checking bags and being [metal detector] wanded was smooth. Merch?: Conveniently located in the main lobby, well displayed, and smooth to make a purchase. I had eaten dinner prior to arriving, but the concession stand looked to have decently priced snacks. The theater looks a little um, retro(?), but it was a gift to be in a beautiful theatre over a giant sports stadium. The sound quality was great, the seats were comfortable, and I could see Charlie very well, even if I chose to sit during a slower song due to the staggered, stadium seating. Traffic on the way there was a little slow due to a concert at Allstate Arena, the Chicago Dogs home opener, and Anime Central, but that was on me to be responsible and leave at an appropriate time. I had looked up the set list on SetlistFM so I knew there was no encore. As soon as that last note of "Changes" rang out into the air, I was a cloud of myself as I briskly walked to the car to get out of the parking lot, haha. What a joy to enjoy a concert and be back on my own driveway in 23 minutes! read more

Beware! When it comes to service, this place was the worst! We took our 86 yo mother to see Il Volo for Mother's Day. We asked the concession girl where to go for our seats and she pointed to the elevator. We got off on the wrong floor, but we didn't know it, no one there to tell us differently. We went to our section on our own and looking for our seats with my phone flashlight, mom fell between the rows. Couldn't find an usher even when I was calling out "HELP!" so I had to go to the lobby. The girl downstairs got her manager who got a wheelchair. Mom ended up in the emergency room with 6 stitches and testing until 2am. We didn't see the show AT ALL and they won't refund our tickets. A nightmare experience! read more

I haven't been to this theatre in years, but returned for a recent Christmas concert. As many others have shared, be sure to try and arrive early, if you are driving your own car. Parking here can be a mess. We left home 2 hours before our show and were so glad we did. The drive from Chicago's West Town area and waiting for parking alone, took us over an hour. Once in the parking lot, we were fortunate to get a spot around the corner from the main entrance. Expect to wait in a long line for concessions, coat check, and the ladies restroom. Prices for drinks and snacks are what you would expect. However, the mixed drinks we purchased were definitely worth the price we paid. Our server at the bar had a "heavy hand" so there was plenty of spirits in the drinks. Definitely appoint a designated driver. Seats are comfy here and the inside of the theatre gets warm. But plan to sit very close to strangers if you don't have an aisle seat. I like the intimate setting of this theatre. Views from row E were fabulous. Being an amateur musician myself, I would say the only critique I have is that at times the instruments sounded louder than vocals, so it made it hard to hear the soloists at times. I've been here a few times, a lot for K-Pop acts. I've gone here for EXO, Shinee, Red Velvet, NCT 127, and most recently, Baekhyun! I've never really had a bad experience here! It's a pretty decent and intimate venue. All of the staff I've interacted with have been nice. The only downside is the view from certain seats. I've been in the nosebleeds and off the farthest side, and you do get a bit of an obstructed view or you just can't see the act that well. For K-pop, it's important because a lot of times they stick to the middle of the stage because of their choreo. Even for Baekhyun, where I was row A, it was still hard to really see him in the middle + huge lights that also obstruct the view. Even if you're smack dab in the middle in the pit, they're huge and in the way, which should not be the case because those are the most expensive tickets in the whole venue. Not my favorite venue for concerts, but not a bad one by any means either. read more

Wonderful venue with easy ($25) in and out parking . I attend two events there on back to back Saturday. The first was a concert , but where I was sitting didn't make it feel like a concert . The next event was a comedy show. This venue is much more suited to those kinds of shows you'd see in Vegas. I can definitely see it as an ideal venue for conferences and TEDtalks. read more

The venue itself is nice but my recent experience seeing Shen Yun was one of the worst I've experienced. Let me be clear: Shen Yun is a fantastic show and I highly recommend it! However, the experience parking at this theatre was a nightmare. My family and I arrived 40 minutes prior to showtime and it took almost 55 minutes to park. All but one entrance was closed. The Rosemont Police were ineffective at their jobs as well as directing traffic. There were no signs. No mention even when purchasing tickets. As a result of this parking nightmare, we were late to the show. The woman at the theatre door was not letting us in. Thankfully, other patrons who also had to deal with the parking fiasco pushed their way through and we followed. I was not happy with missing a good quarter of the first act. It's not like this is a new theatre. It's not like they've rezoned parking. There is absolutely no excuse for this. Oh, and on top of that, when my family and I got to the door for bag check, the Security had the nerve to say "Hurry up, the show's about to start!" Like really? You had clear view of the absolute nightmare. Don't be a jerk. This theatre ranks last on my list to return. read more

My 8 year old self was fan-girling so hard tonight ! The best night of my life of 2024 for sure. Got decent seats for 75.00 (including tax) for S Club 7. Circa 1997. I can't explain the group to you other than a mix of ABBA & spice girls/ backstreet boy era. Awesome venue, awesome lights, awesome stage, awesome everything. This may be completely biased given this was my first time attending but it was nailed across the board. Downside is 30.00 to park. Otherwise, this was the highlight of my mid-30s. I just went to the Rosemont Theatre for the first time last night to see Judas Priest and Sabaton. The venue itself is OKAY, it's kind of outdated and a bit on the smaller size, especially for a band like Judas Priest who just played at Tinley Park. There are 2 levels of the Theatre - you can either take stairs or an elevator to go up to the 2nd level. The employees are friendly and parking in the area is pretty easy for shows here. Drinks and concessions prices are way too expensive - I recommend eating and drinking before - 2 miler lites were $33! The theatre itself inside can also get pretty hot if it's a packed show. Overall, an okay venue if there's someone here you really want to see, but there are definitely better places to catch a show at. Judas Priest was awesome by the way. read more

NKOTB held their first-ever BlockCon in Rosemont & a few of the events were held at the Rosemont Theater, mainly the meet & greet, panels, & a three-hour concert. In addition, there were photo ops & a display of costumes, outfits, & shoes the guys have worn throughout their 30+ year career. Plenty of entrances so it never felt like a cluterf*ck to get to & from your seat. Bars/concessions & bathrooms were also plentiful. There were over 4,000 Blockheads in attendance but the size of the venue never made us feel we were on top of one another. Crisp acoustics, great seats (from our VIP section, anyways), & very nice staff. No complaints about the Rosemont Theater! I'd be happy to find myself back here next year if & when my favorite guys decide to hold the second BlockCon in the same locale. Fun times!! read more

We came here to attend (hopefully be contestants on) the Live Price Is Right. This version does NOT have Drew Carey and the models on tv, but rather a very funny announce, handsome tv host, and beautiful model. The prizes were smaller but at least more people could participate, and there were random giveaways. I sometimes get Rosemont Theater and the Donald Stephens Convention center mixed up but I am NOT making that mistake again! This place is smaller but less organized! How is that even possible?? We lined up to register as contestants 3 hours before the show per instructions. That went fine, but we really had up til half an hour before showtime to do so. There was not much (without a car) that one could do in the mean time. We should have gone to the nearby Fashion Outlets Food Court for overpriced food but instead we munched on snacks from home and went by the Convention center, where the only place that we could see selling food was Starbucks. We headed back an hour before showtime to a massive, disorganized crowd. There were multiple lines to get into the building, and staff was not really clear on which line was which. Through a misunderstanding on our part (weird story) we purchased tickets THERE right before the show, but at least we saved the massive Ticketmaster fees. They sold merchandise and ridiculously overpriced concessions. The show was fine, one could be a contestant now matter WHERE you sat, they call you in advance. The seats, lighting and sound were just ok and the ushers were friendly and helpful. The show was fabulous, and I didn't get called; maybe next time. One good story though: I bought a filter water bottle with me, and I accidentally left it on the cupholder. I didn't realize til after we left; luckily there was another show, and they let me back in. A really cool security guard took me back to my seat to look for it. So the staff was not too bad, they work hard. I would recommend eating before going in if possible. I didn't visit the restrooms so I can't speak to those. read more

I went here to see The Music of ABBA. This was my second time here. The theatre parking is organized and it is $25 to park. The venue is really nice. The only downside is some of the seating has obstructed views. We were sitting in the balcony and as you can see, the hand railings are blocking the view. Our tickets did not state this. Not a huge deal, but still not great. Overall, it's a nice venue and a good place to see a show. read more

This place is a terrible venue to see a concert. People were VERY loud behind us. Security talked to them. It just continued. We went and got security again and again. In downtown they would have been forced to leave after the second time. In total they were talked to 4 times, but nothing changed and they remained. Our money is just as good as theirs, but we could not wnjoy the concert due to their loudness. (This was not a rock concert.) Aweful!!! read more

Good security - check Sufficient staff to get people in fast - check Sound system - Good Seating - UGH We were thrilled to get the chance to see the last two Monkees - Mike and Mickey - and our first time seeing Mike. Everything was great until the guy who was sitting in front of me showed up. The seats aren't staggered, and I spent the entire show looking around his head. UGH. Rosemont - all you have to do is stagger each row one half a seat - no problems. Nope - I was looking around a big head. The venue itself is pretty good. We didn't hit the concession stand, and all the t-shirts and what not are on the far south end of the venue and were nutso pricing, so be ready for that if you want to buy a concert T-shirt. I have enough t-shirts without adding ones. Another thing I didn't enjoy was the lighting - for some reason, they felt it was necessary to BEAM the audience in the face with several lights - they were strobing at a point where I was concerned it might cause someone to have a problem. Absolutely worst theater I have been to in the Chicagoland area. Took us over an hour to park and so far we have been waiting to exit the parking garage for another hour and a half (and we have only gotten down one level out of 6). We found out after we parked that if the cops "directing" traffic had actually directed us, we would have parked 45 min earlier. Instead they directed us into more traffic that just went in a circle. We missed the entire first half of our show. The staff was also horrible. We came in at intermission and the ticket lady complained to us about how busy she has been. The staff forced us to put my sister-in-law's wheelchair in a certain hallway and then wouldn't let us get it because we didn't have VIP badges. They then screamed at us to go a different way and that we needed to exit immediately because they needed to clean for the next show. At least 30-40% of the people in attendance missed the first half of the show. I was told VIP people had to wait outside in the 20 degree weather for over an hour cause they opened the doors an hour after they were supposed to. There were people with canes and wheelchairs having to walk a pretty good distance. I can't think of a single show that is worth this type of experience. read more

But the show....... omfg..... -2 After years of anticipation, I was super excited to finally see Shen Yun with my niece, Quiana M. Davis yesterday. Needless to say that excitement disappeared 30 mins into the show when I felt something was a little off while watching. And no, it wasn't their pixelated backdrop. I realized my alarm bells were ringing for a reason when I started to notice there was a religious agenda being pushed within the storyline. This really became apparent when I read, "Atheism and evolution are the devils doctrines" on the screen. This was just one of the many religious messages throughout the show. Come to find out that this production is based in NY on a 427 acre compound for followers of Falun Gong who were exiled from China back in the 90s. Oh, let's not forget Falun Gong aka Falun Dafa, Shen Yun, and The Epoch times work hand in hand. Needless to say, if you want to go see a show with cult like vibes, then go for it, but make sure to buy the cheap tickets because there's absolutely nothing that special about this show. read more

I chose to purchase a bottle of Pepsi, and was told the cost was $1.50, but they took $8.07 from my debit card (I found out after the show). They also ASKED for a cash tip. The usher told me there were no entrances into seating with ramps instead of stairs, but she was wrong (I found out as we were leaving after the show). The seats were fairly comfortable, acoustics were stellar, and we had a nice view of the stage. The traffic directors out of the parking lot were efficient. read more

Our first time at Rosemont Theater was today to see The Rat Pack is Back. The show was wonderful! It's a lovely venue and the staff are super helpful and pleasant. The only bad part was our tickets were in row A , which we expected to be great seats. Unfortunately, they weren't! There was a big wooden wall in front of our seats that obscured much of the stage. We could only see the performers from the waist up. The wall enclosed another set of seats that were actually directly in front of the stage. We asked if we could move back ( there was a big section of unsold empty seats so they let us sit there, wherever we wanted. We were 15 rows back but the view was better. Next time at Rosemont we won't spring for the expensive seats. read more

Rosemont Theater was surprisingly better than I had expected. It seems any seat in the house has a straight shot to the stage. Good sound system without any echoing. Seating wasn't chaotic but we did have our group come find us to escort us to our seats. Bag check and wand security check were done at the door. Line moved pretty quickly but we were running late and the opening act had already started. I didn't purchase concessions but did see that they were available. Parking was a bit of a mess. Large venue with not enough parking unfortunately. Somehow traffic patrol escorted us into the fashion outlets and we parked there unknowingly if it was allowed or not. Luckily our car hadn't been towed! Some of our friends who parked in the theater lot paid $35-$45 which is quite steep for the burbs! Would recommend ride share in and out of the venue! read more

It is your typical theater layout inside. They have seating on the ground floor and balcony. The seats are dated, meaning they could use an upgrade. Because you really "sink-in" when seated. Although I would not say they're uncomfortable, just old. In conclusion, it is your typical theater layout large areas for pop-up vending and displays and restrooms, nothing more. read more

Hey now! I went to the Rosemont Theatre for the America's Got Talent taping a few weeks ago. I've never been to this theatre before, so I didn't know what to expect. It's a bit of a walk from the Rosemont CTA and it looks like parking is expensive in this area too. Now, what made my visit particularly enjoyable for me was the hookup that I had. Growing up in New Jersey one of my friends and neighbors was Ralphycakes from the Stern Show. Since he was in town working with Howard, he got me all set up with some sweet VIP seats. I was seated right up front next to the judges and Ronnie Mund limo driver. The show was a lot of fun and I had a great time. The theatre was packed and The King of all Media and the rest of the judges put on a great show and kept things moving. Heidi looked just like I'd expect a supermodel to look and Ronnie's mustache is every bit as ridiculous in person. Stern rules! Baba Booey! read more

We went to the newly named Akoo Theatre to see the best trumpet player EVER... Chris Botti. If you don't know who he is -- go hide your head in shame and then download some tracks from Botti in Boston in iTunes. This theater used to be called the Rosement Theater. And honestly, we would have been driving around if we hadn't looked up that it had changed its name. They've obviously redone the place.. new carpet, lighting, the works. In the lobby area, it feels like something my grandmother would have picked out. Oh yes, this place comes complete with Miami color carpeting that has the happy/sad theater masks as the repeating pattern. The only redeeming factor is the beautiful hanging chandelier. Other than that, welcome Aunt Myrtle. Did someone actually make money off of decorating this place? There are HUGE bathrooms on either side of the theater. A plus for a lady who is sick and tired of waiting in ridiculous lines. When a girl's gotta go, she's gotta go! The inside of the auditorium was a pleasant surprise after the eye sore lobby. The place transforms into a modern gray, minimalistic space -- allowing for the stage to shine. The seats were comfortable and it seemed that even the nosebleed seats were manageable. And this is from a lady who has done the nosebleed seats in the Chicago theaters. There, you take one wrong step and you could plunge to your doom. I'm going to have to go to this theater again to solidify how I really feel about it. Right now it's a three-star rating with the potential four-star in its future. read more

Went to go see Carla Morrison this past Friday. The Rosemont Theater is one of the smaller venues I have been to. Finding my way to my seat section was very simple. The design of venue is different with the stage being set up in the corner vs in the middle like other venues I've attended. The food was ok and overpriced as expected at these places. Pretzels were overly salty, margaritas were watered down. The staff working were helpful and friendly. I would go back again however I would get a seat that closer to the stage next time. read more

We have attended many events here and always had a great time, but won't go back. Attended Chelsea Handler who was great, but the parking is not only legal theft-it is a total mess. Getting in and out was a total disaster- and to have to pay $25 to be taken advantage of and make a supposedly fun night out, nothing but stress? No thank you. Inside was no better- total chaos- lines were hundreds of patrons long. I imagine that the owners treat their team like they treat their patrons. We all deserve better- plenty of other venues in the Chicago area or drive to a nearby city- but avoid the Rosemont until things change read more

Saw Shen Yun in February 2020. Parking is TWENTY FIVE dollars. You could park in the Blue Line stop and Uber to the theater and spend less money. I was unable to locate a water fountain (do they exist?) or are they intentionally missing to force patrons to stand in line for beverages? My companion was handed a program, I was not. When I asked for one, the (theater employee?) said: "you can share". Keep in mind I paid $110 for each ticket and the program is quite detailed with specific history and information about each dance you will be watching, so it is critical for the enjoyment of the show. Oh - I was unable to find a way to obtain tickets from a theater box office. It seems that Ticketron who tacks on all their own fees is the only option. Moving forward, I will actively avoid seeing shows that are at this venue. read more

Attended a concert here recently and I was surprised at how nice this venue was.. maybe I just wasn't expecting too much!? The seats are slightly elevated so you can always see the stage, it's overall spacious, acoustics seemed to actually work here and overall, the experience was wonderful. The theater is beautiful...great acoustics etc. Traffic control coming off highway onto Balmoral, to head East to the theater/River Road horrible(zero...strictly via the normal traffic lights) while the police that are there for traffic control not only DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! but literally watch as frustrated drivers (see latter part of this review as to why they're frustrated!) make illegal right turns onto River Road FROM THE LEFT TURN LANES! Here's the kicker why we will NEVER GO BACK TO A VENUE AT the Rosemont Theater...our trip from Bartlett to the ramp onto Balmoral was 30 minutes (2:45 pm - 3:15 Saturday)...from there to the theater on site parking was maybe 3/4 of a mile...I DROPPED MY WIFE OFF ABOUT 25 YARDS FROM THE FRONT DOOR AT 3:50!! di the math...yes an hour to go 3/4 of a mile! Saw Judas Priest in May. Sound system was somewhat on and off the get and inconsistent. Usually, for in door performances, there really is no excuse not to offer the best possible sound situation, since you never really get any pockets in the air. Getting 'merch' was somewhat of a chore. Come early, or don't come at all. Would have taken over a half an hour. What is this a Metallica concert? They need more booths to handle demand. I really dig the layout of the arena though. Beautiful operatic staircases. Maybe this arena is suited for more non-metal stuff. Rob Halford kicked the phone out of a hands hand for literally no reason. I hope Rosemont paid for his phone or offered him something, as this can be interpreted as assault and battery. read more
