I was a bit concerned when I was refereed to this company from Costco when I was looking for LVP…read moreflooring for my 2nd floor apartment's kitchen. There were mixed reviews on Yelp. Also the fact that there were several names on the same address confused me. Chicago Flooring, Touch of Beauty Carpeting, etc. Nick was able to come out to give me an estimate. He was able to weigh in on what he though would work best for a rental unit. I got 4 other quotes to compare and they all came in very close in price, but the customer service and responsiveness was better from Chicago Flooring. I deciedd to go with them and they did a great job. It took 1 day to pull out the old tile and replace it with LVP. The sub floor was a bit jacked up so they needed to add some self leveling thin set which was outside of the scope of the original quote. They charnged a reasonable amount for this and were able to take care of everything in one day. They moved all of the appliances, and they replaced all of the toe kicks which used to be tiles. I did make sure that was specified in the contract. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves. Due to the nature of the work, there was still dust settling for a day or 2 which I had to clean up but that is understandable getting the work done in the winter when you cant have windows open. I will update the review as the floor wears etc, but thus far, I am happy with the quality of the work.
