Whitney and the team did a fantastic job refurbishing an old heaven hill whiskey barrel that I had in my living room. I was using it as an extension of my bar. I really liked it, but it was in a sad shape. There was a gooey residue on the barrel that would sometimes leave imprints on peoples clothes if they brushed up against it. And the barrel hoops kept falling down. Chicago fabrications brought the barrel back to life. They did an excellent job sanding and staining the barrel and cleaning up the metal hoops and fastening them so they would no longer slip down the barrel. And all that residue is gone. We had a barn door custom made by Chiacgo Fabrications that is the immediate attention grabber when people come in our home. After the house settled, we had issues moving the door on the rail a couple years later. Tyler and Whitney were extremely responsive immediately when I reached out via email. They scheduled an onsite visit to us in the suburbs in less than a week, and then Whitney and Ryan arrived on time (and even confirmed ahead of schedule what time they would be arriving). I could not be more impressed at the customer service as they strategized on how best to make adjustments to the door to make it work again. After 2 years, our door was not covered, but they did not even charge us for their efforts after spending a decent amount of time here. The guys at Chicago Fabrications are charming and knowledgeable. I spent the afternoon at the workshop. They salvage and dismantle old buildings and reclaim the barns, farm houses, water towers etal. I needed a unique piece for my very old home in Northern Michigan. They seem to have outgrown the space but May be moving to a larger location. Best place to find gorgeous reclaimed pieces for your home working with interior decorator and architect. They build the furniture there for residential, retail and commercial furniture.
