I am extremely happy with the work that Ramiro and his group did. We had a challenging project - repair and reinforcement of a heavy iron railing around the periphery of our rooftop deck that was pulling out of the flashing. This was a challenging job because it involved cutting the railing into sections, getting it off our roof, taking it to his shop to weld extensions on, and bringing it back/installing welding on our roof, and repainting. Work was reasonably priced and very well done. I appreciated his philosophy of repairing what was broken (our railings were in good shape and of good quality) and not trying to sell me a whole new system. I really can't say enough great things about Skyline. My husband and I bought a house with a pretty shoddy fence recently, so we knew we'd need to get an upgrade. We started by getting quotes from 3 different companies for a wrought iron fence, and during that brief process, Ramiro and Heather helped us out by patiently explaining our options, answering every possible question imaginable (and I ask a lot of questions...), so we went with Skyline Metal. And WOW I am so thrilled that we did. Ours was not a huge job, we had probably around 50-60 feet of fence & posts to put up, along with locking doors on the back & front. It probably took Ramiro and his crew of 3-4 guys 2.5 days total at our house between putting up the posts first and letting those set for a bit, and then welding the rest of the fence. The other companies we looked at offered pre-made fence, but ours were custom made - Ramiro had to do some extra measuring and such prior to fabrication. This is very beneficial because it ensures there is no warping and minimal shifting over time. The finished product is absolutely perfect. Our yard has the slightest of slants from back to front, but somehow the fence is perfectly level just as we had requested. I would recommend Ramiro and his crew to anyone. They were patient, so easy to work with, communicated well to ensure no surprises, and the finished product just looks flawless. It is exactly as we wanted. Out outdoor railings were original to our home and were in desperate need of replacement as they were a safety hazard. Ramiro from Skyline Metal Fabrication came out to house and took measurements for the replacement railings. He also advised us that the height of our current railings were not up to code. He gave us a very competitive estimate. He worked with us on the design of the replacement railings and fabricated the new railings in his shop. I'm a property manager and I work with plenty of contractors. It usually takes a while to find the good contractors and even longer to establish a good partnership. Ramiro was one of those very few contractors who was great right off the bat. I had an emergency security situation where I needed a broken alley gate fixed. The hinges rusted off and the very heavy steel framed wooden door was on the ground. I called around and while most steel welders didn't even return my call, Ramiro replied quickly and was willing to meet me early the next morning since he already had a full day scheduled elsewhere. He arrived with his welder, and not only did they rehang the door with new hinges, he added an extra hinge, sheared off the old hinges, realigned the door to close even better than it did before, and painted not only the hinges but the entire frame of the door. All this when most contractors would have done the bare minimum. And he charged a very reasonable price. All the work was done with a ton of pride and a smile. Needed to have a support beam added to an existing wrought iron gate to stabilize the opening. Sent photos to Ramiro so he could judge the work needed. He and his crew showed up on time, took the top ornaments off the existing vertical frame, ground down the old welds, added a crossbar, and painted the frame area. Requested that he add an additional strike plate for the deadbolt lock, which he did at no additional charge. Welds look solid. Good guy-would use him again. read more

Skyline completed a large repainting/repair job for our townhouse association's stairwell and fence. They ground away a lot of rust on the staircase, inspected it for any needed repairs, and made it look new again. Our fence was leaning heavily and several rungs had rusted through. They were able to straighten out the fence, replace an entire section that they built in their shop, and fix the remaining rungs.
