If you're thinking about preserving your wedding dress in hopes to pass it down one day or maybe just wait 10-20 years to pull it out for a fun occasion, then you've found the place! Steve is incredibly responsive. He answered the phone when I called the number listed, asked me a few questions, gave me a few tips on what to add/not add, and confirmed a date from there. The rest is history! The main interaction we had was via text which is really helpful with my schedule. Before he picked up the dress, he gave me an ETA on when I'd hear from him next and get the dress. His followup was fantastic. He was sure to reach out before any worry or concern because I of course forget the dates haha. In the end, the dress came in better condition than when I first bought it. It was amazing to see the update and after photos and made me wish I took some before photos. My dress wasn't super filthy but the train definitely got dark brown. Your girl couldn't get off the dance floor! Since I'm in the middle of de-cluttering our apartment space and haven't figured out where I'll store the dress, I haven't quite opened to see how it's displayed. How can I even begin to express my gratitude for this company? I had a dream to wear the dress my mom wore to marry my dad in 1980, which was her grandmother's graduation dress from around the year 1914! About 110 years old! My mom danced so hard at her wedding all the buttons ripped and it had also accumulated a large stain and general discoloring over the years. It is such a special dress with such intricate and delicate crocheting (some of which was done by hand by my grandmother before my mom's wedding), we weren't sure the fabric would make it through a cleaning attempt. Looking online I wasn't sure if anyone would even touch it since it was so old. We brought it in to Chicago Wedding Dress Cleaners and crossed our fingers. We were absolutely AMAZED with the results. The whole process was so easy - I called the number and the owner answered all my questions and then followed up with a text for setting up a time to pick up my dress from my home! After the cleaning of the dress they sent photos of the final results of ALL pieces of the gown and under layers, which was then hand delivered to my home in a really nice white dress/window preserved box. The other thing that was above and beyond, was my dress had a lot of glitter and not actual lace, which the owner made sure I was aware of the risk and after his personal test of small piece he did provide his confidence that the glitter would not be ruined in anyway, but it was really nice to have the heads up before hand just in case. At my wedding we had some brief rain that wet our outdoor dance floor, so by the end of the night my dress was black at the bottom. I cannot recommend Chicago Wedding Dress Cleaners enough. Steve was able to come pick up my wedding dress very promptly. He was so responsive throughout the entire process. He was able to clean my dress, return it to me so that my grandmother could see it as she was not able to attend my wedding, and then picked up the dress again at a later date to preserve it. Steve (the owner) answered the phone himself both times I called, and was super responsive. He explained the entire process to me so that I could be sure of everything that would happen. When I was ready to move forward, I called and he happened to be in the neighborhood, and literally picked up my dress within a few hours.
