I wish I could give this place 10 stars! I was traveling early in the morning for work in a rental car and suddenly got a warning that my rear tire had lost pressure. I pulled off the interstate and figured it would be a good time to go ahead and grab breakfast and check my tire while doing so. I pull into this super cute retro Chick-fil-A and upon ordering asked the drive-thru worker if she new a place nearby I could check my tire pressure. She quickly volunteered to ask her manager if he could check my tire pressure for me and this man came out to the parking lot at 7 am to check my tire!!!! I almost cried. 10/10!! This cfa is NOT it..for starters you walk in and instantly get hit in the face with a horrendous smell of dirty carpet. I walked in for a pick up order of 2 ice cream cones and no one acknowledged me..they only had one person taking orders whilst everyone in the back was doing lord knows what..the staff did not meet up to the cfa standards..my overall experience at this location was trash. Not just your regular Chick-fil-a! This retro diner was a nice place to stop along our road trip for a quick yet relaxing lunch; indeed, I'd recommend it to travelers because of the clean bathrooms and hand sanitizer stations all over the place. It was great to sink into one of the big cushy booths and have a meal. Truett's has got lots of kid appeal with the model train set that runs around the ceiling and the mini-door that comes in from the lobby. One thing was confusing: there are two entrances. We went into the to-go ordering area, but then ate in, not realizing that you could have gone in another door to the hostess stand and been seated for table service. The waitresses still checked on us and offered us refills. Service was unfailingly polite, and the establishment was tidy (I will mention the restrooms again, as we encountered many that were not so in our travels...). This would be a nice place to dine, whether you're local or passing through. read more

This is my husband David's favorite restaurant of all times in Georgia. The price is affordable and the food is decent for fast food. I never knew why until I've eaten here myself. First of all, service is 5 stars at this restaurant and the one we ate inside the mall from SouthLake. My husband and I went here first after our layover from New York City. David was "etsing" from the army and we thought we'd drop by his hometown before heading back to California. The cashier behind the counter hooked him up with a free peach milkshake to welcome him home and thanked him for serving. First love and acknowledgement for his 9 years of military service, Georgia and Texas has my vote for being the best state that supports our military troops. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with a fruit cup and peach milkshake. David ordered the chicken nuggets and the chicken sandwich. He loved it so much that toward the end of our stay in Georgia, he ordered two more chicken sandwiches and brought it back to California, lol. The peach shake was delicious. I also love Truett Cathy's (the owner of the chain) love and passion of supporting education by giving benefits and scholarships to local schools in the community and his employees. This is a man I'd work for if I need support with finance for education. I think every type of business should learn from Truett Cathy by marketing a product that benefits everyone. Truett Cathy, much respect to you (/salutes). Thank you for making our world a better place. Please open a chain in Northern California (Bay Area)! The service is always the highlight of a ChickFilA, and this one is a little "extra" because it's a Truett's location (sit down). It was extremely crowded, especially for a late lunch, but we were able to find a table. Ordering didn't take long, and the staff member clearly cared about the accuracy of our order. It took longer than usual (for Chick-fil-A) to bring our food to us, but it was hot and fresh. (We ordered at the counter, but they still brought the food to our table. The sit down side is full service.). Don't forget that you can exchange the kids meal toy for a kids ice cream. I knocked a few stars off because the store needed some attention- the decorative model train seemed to be broken and the trash was over flowing. I ordered a curbside order and I got my food and then while I was in curbside one I ordered a additional drink and I was outside waiting for 10 minutes. I decided to go inside because I have my mother's food in the car and I was trying to bring it to her for her lunch break but her food and her milkshake got cold & Melted. I went inside and nobody acknowledge me so I was standing there for about 3 to 4 minutes while multiple staff members walked right past me. One guy greeted me and asked me what I like to order and I said no I've been waiting on a curbside order for a sweet tea. I showed him the information on my app. I showed him that I paid for it and even the confirmation that i was waiting for it and he said he didn't see it. He than went to go get his manager and the manager said that they do not see my order I'm showing him all the information it was just a small sweet tea. It was only $2.04, he kept insisting me that he doesn't see it and there's nothing that he can do I work in fast food you get the customer what they want especially if they pay for it I'm not asking for any additional food. All I was asking for was the drink that I paid for. I asked him what are you gonna do about the drink that I pay for ? he says it's nothing that he can do. I couldn't cancel the drink through the app because it was already in progress and then proceeded to say let me just buy the drink. He's getting an attitude with me and I'm catching one right back with him because now I have been at Chick-fil-A for 20 minutes. I ordered curbside so I could pick it up and go but now I'm sitting here longer than I would've been sitting in the drive-through. I tried to buy the sweet tea but he said since I had an attitude and since I wanted to Cuz because I said, can you just please hurry the hell up because instead of trying to get me in and out he still wanted to talk about that he couldn't see the order. He said well if you're going to cuss and have a attitude, they know you're not gonna get the sweet tea. Fast, attentive service and hot, fresh food. Half the place is your typical Chickfila with the walk up ordering and seat yourself atmosphere. The other half is a waited sit down restaurant with extra offerings, such as a breakfast buffet, burgers, patty melts, sandwich and chicken platters, and various sides. I was please to see they have some of the discontinued or seasonal offerings on the menu that normal chickfilas have, such as the tortilla soup (my favorite), lemon merengue pie, and the carrot and raisin salad. I never thought I would be writing a negative review of Chick-fil-A , but here I am. It's twice now that I have visited Truitts grill and both times have taken an extraordinary time to order and receive your food. This morning I stood for 5 minutes with only one guest at the register. His order was 15.00 when I finally walked out, it couldn't have been that complex given the menu. The cashier watched me leave and shouted "sorry" There were associates nearby who could have opened a register seeing how long this guest was taking to place an order. Normally this place gets 5 stars regardless except for today. Order a number one but I wanted it spicy and was told I had to order a number 2 spicy deluxe without the lettuce, tomato and cheese . Disappointing. Is it neat? yeah, but the service is terrible. I was the only person waiting for a table, and they didn't acknowledge me for a couple minutes. I just stood there looking around like a big dummy. It was just me, so they seated me at the counter. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries and the server leaves. Someone sits next to me a minute later and orders, so they put the order in, which took too long, then asks me what it was I ordered. I said, "Say what? Are you just now putting my order in?" This is without a doubt one of the worst drive through experiences I have ever had at a Chick-fil-A. I have been sitting in the drive-through now for 21 minutes. I am stuck because of the sidewalks and the railings and I can't get out. Have no idea what's going on in front of me. There is no organization to this drive-through. Merging lanes didn't merge correctly and they were trying to have me pay for the wrong order. There is no one really directing anything out here. There is no concern for them to be expeditious at the window. I have eaten on the inside of this restaurant and it was a lot better. But something has got to happen with this drive-through. Dude, this place is awesome! When we arrived at the destination, I was taken aback by the car sitting in the front and the whole diner appearance. WTH, this is not what Chick Fil A's supposed to look like! Being Asian, we took a few pics and decided to check it out. This diner is soo cool, especially if you're a fan Chick Fil A! Most of the items in the diner was owned by Mr. Truett at some point. There's a railroad track attached to the ceiling with a train and a cow as the conductor. There's a button for customers to press for the train to move. The workers are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. While we were eating, the person who greeted us came by our table and checked up on us. He told us Mr. Truett comes by 3xs/ month to this location and that he lives a couple miles from the diner. There's only 3 Truett's Grill in Georgia; they're located in Morrow, McDonough, and Griffin. The menu is very extensive. There's a ton of diner items to select from aside from the usual Chick Fil A menu; that includes specialties like pot pie, and a lot of breakfast items. The diner also has a drive thru section if you just want to order regular Chick Fil A items. I ordered the chicken pot pie, got mac and cheese, sweet potata souffle, and chicken noodle soup. The chicken noodle soup was nice and hot (and the same as what you'd get at regular chick fil a), the mac and cheese was ok, the sweet potata was too whipped for me. The chicken pot pie was hefty and really good. My friend got a breakfast dish under their specialties (sorry forgot name), but it was basically bacon, eggs, and creamy goodness. According to this location's website, they have "All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet 6am-Noon on Saturdays, 4-9pm Wednesdays". I don't know if it's a promotional thing, but it sounds cool... Overall, I was super-excited to have stumbled across this diner! It was a really enjoyable dining experience for me bc I LOVE CHICK FIL A. woot woot! I'd definitely come back and try other menu items as well, even if it tastes non-fantastic. read more

Don't tell the cows, but they sell burgers here! Truett is a dine in chik fil a type place (much like the dwarf houses). It doesn't have the typical chik fil a feel, from its booth seats to the shelf you can sit at where the orders are, along with the interesting way the orders are arranged (to the right, you'll be seated, to the left in its own little space is the take out orders). I mean, Truett's Grill) did I encounter the nicest, nicest people, who truly did make me feel like they wanted to refill my tea, I must say likewise for the rest of the places I visited in Morrow too. This was my first trip here - and just in case you're wondering what brought me to Morrow, a certain major retailer had a certain in high demand video game I needed to pick up. So. Not only was I able to do just that, but was fortunate enough to run upon Truett's Grill. You've heard about these, and the dwarf houses, but the grill is cool since it's done up in retro-ish attire, complete with waitress donning a headband. Shiny bar stools, vintage stuff behind glass in counter displays. .. and my favorite. Kids get their meals served up in a cardboard old skool 50s classic car. Keep the 'seats' free from waffle fry grease, and pass that thing onto Barbie once you're done, kids! The combo table service and also fast food hybrid basically serves the usual Chick plus a selection of other chicken (and non chicken. .. like. . beef) items, too. You can get a full meal, from a salad to green beans to pie here, and you'll spend around ten bucks. For sure a good experience all around for this Chik-fil-a loving yelper. . . and this one will have to last me, because trips to Morrow are far and few for me! read more

What we were doing all the way in Morrow - you may ask!? We were on our way to Costco this past Saturday morning and needed some food in our tummies to make our Costco purchases a little less impulsive! So we stopped at Truett's Grill. I am very partial to anything associated with Chick-fil-A, but this was my very first experience with Truett's. Named after the founder, Truett Cathy, ofcourse, this restaurant is more diner style and serves CFA food along with much more! The breakfast was amazing. Hubby had a chicken omelet with all the fixins and I had a CFA standard - the chicken, egg, and cheese bagel. Both were wonderful. We had fresh squeezed OJ, fresh brewed coffee, and wonderful service. Although it was super busy - they took great care of us. The decor is so much fun - from vintage coke products, to a toy train circling the restaurant - very pleasing to the eyes! If you are ever in the area - stop by! I know they have two other locations south of Atlanta - and are worth the drive! We'd definitely go back for lunch and dinner sometime! read more
