I attempted to order the Seafood Pasta only to be told that they weren't serving it. Why have an item on the menu if you don't plan to serve it. There was no real explanation provided as to why they weren't serving it. Our waiter, Eli, recommended the Redfish Ponchatrain. It was okay. I probably wouldn't order it again. The Beignets were delicious. Our cocktails were ok. The ambiance was nice. We were taken to a table in the very back of the restaurant which seemed odd considering there was only one other table occupied in the back. We passed quite a few open tables closer to the front of the restaurant. We felt isolated. There was no live entertainment here. This was my first time at this location though I've also been to the Decatur and Dunwoody locations. Those locations had live entertainment when I visited during the weekend.

I ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, but while eating, I found a long, dark strand of hair in my food. I immediately felt nauseated, lost my appetite, and stopped eating. I called the number listed on their Instagram page and spoke with Cory, who apologized and arranged for me to return another day to receive a replacement order of 2 lbs of crawfish at no charge since I was no longer nearby. When I returned today (7/18/26) @ 2:43 pm after a 35-40 minute drive from where I reside, I explained the situation to the woman working at the window and showed her the video of the hair I found in my food. Instead of showing concern or apologizing, she immediately became defensive and suggested the hair could have come from anywhere. I explained that wasn't the big issue; the issue is that I found hair in my food, and that I was simply following the instructions I had been given after speaking with Cory, and that I was there to receive the agreed-upon replacement. Rather than honoring the replacement of 2 lbs, I was only offered 1 lb. I expressed that my original order was 2 lbs and that finding hair in my food had ruined my meal. During the conversation, I also questioned a statement she made about the hair strand looking like hers, and that her hair was braided on my first visit, and she just took her braids down Monday. However, what she stated didn't match what I remembered from that visit. Her hair was pulled up in a ponytail that visit and today. The discussion became uncomfortable and wasn't getting anywhere, so I accepted the 1 lb simply to avoid further conflict. Accidents can happen in any restaurant, and I understand that. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. I expected professionalism, empathy, and for the agreed-upon resolution to be honored. Instead, I felt dismissed and that my concerns were not taken seriously. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be returning or recommending Mama Jane's Seafood Truck to others.

The crawfish was SO good. Definitely the best crawfish I've ever had in Atlanta. The side bag comes with corn, sausage and potatoes. My mom said it was some of the best corn she evr had. Everything was super flavorful and the crawfish were nice and spicy. The service was quick and they were extremely nice. I can't wait to go back once my schedule permits!

While the seafood is consistently good, my experience last Sunday during the World Cup Finals completely altered my perspective on this establishment. Because the restaurant was busy and Karl was not working, I sat with a new female bartender who provided excellent customer service. However, a mistake occurred when she accidentally brought out a crab bucket instead of my usual shrimp bucket order. She was very polite and immediately took it back to correct it. While I was waiting, a white manager with tattoo name (I believe name Justin) approached me and aggressively stated that he does not typically remove items from tickets. When I politely explained that I did not order the crab bucket and am a frequent guest, he became highly disrespectful, raised his voice, and told me I could leave if I don't like his attitude. Though he eventually changed his attitude and adjusted the bill after I offered to just pay and leave, the experience was entirely ruined. The bartender apologized multiple times, but the unprofessional behavior came entirely from management. Due to this severe lack of respect and poor leadership, I will not be returning to what used to be my favorite local spot.

So far, I've had food here twice in the month of June and will definitely be back. My first visit I had the 2-piece red snapper dinner with mac n cheese and fried okra $21.87. My second visit I had the 2-piece whiting dinner with mac n cheese and fried okra $17.87. I have also tried their bean pie $4.39. My last visit I added on a side of flounder $4.99 and it came with two small pieces. I didn't really like the red snapper, but it's a personal preference, it's a little too thick for me and I didn't like that they kept the skin at the bottom when they fried, I don't want any skin on my fish when I eat it. The whiting was very good and fried just how I like it. So, make sure you select the correct cooking options when you place your harder, I selected hard and crispy. The flounder was my favorite; it was perfectly fried and seasoned. I'm going to get the flounder dinner next time with coleslaw. Mac n cheese is okay, not great just okay, I add a little jerk seasoning to it when I get home. The okra is very good! I also enjoy their bean pie; it has a nice spice flavor and the perfect serving. I do not like their tartar sauce, it's not thick, it's too watery and doesn't have a taste that I personally care for. The hot sauce is all I need or I add a little siracha to their tartar sauce and it's perfect. I place my order online and it's always ready when I arrive. There is free parking and it's never a problem entering or exiting the lot. When you enter go to the pick up area to the left if you placed your order online. Service was friendly both times. There is sitting inside and outside.

We ordered the 100-wing special along with a tray of fries. The wings were $79.99, which I thought was a great value, especially since you're able to choose up to four different flavors. We went with Sweet Sassy, Mild, Teriyaki, and Lemon Pepper Dry, so everyone had a little something to choose from. The fries deserve their own shout-out because the tray is huge. I'd easily say it feeds about 8-10 people, making it a great addition to a group order. The woman at the counter was very kind and also gave me a helpful heads-up that the fries don't come pre-seasoned. She pointed me to the seasoning station so I could add seasoning before taking the order back to work, which I really appreciated. As for the wings, everyone enjoyed them. Even though I'm usually a Lemon Pepper person, the Teriyaki ended up being my favorite of the bunch. It was packed with flavor and definitely stood out to me. Since this visit was strictly for a catering order, I'd love to come back and try a meal from the regular menu. If the catering was any indication, I'm looking forward to seeing what else they have to offer.

From the moment we arrived until the last bite, the entire meal was exceptional. We started with cocktails and oysters. Following our server Geral's recommendations, we ordered the Royal Hawaiian and the Fish House Punch--both were excellent choices. We also paired our oysters with the Miami Mint and Pickled Pepper Back specialty shots, which complemented them perfectly. For oysters, we took advantage of the happy hour selections: Chebooktook, Barnstable, Boomamoto, and Wareham. We also added Dixon Point, Little Harbor, and Mere Point oysters. Every variety was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For our entrées, we shared the Fried Bread, Snapper Crudo, Coconut Fried Rice, Lobster Roll, and Tavern Burger. Every dish was outstanding and packed with flavor. It's hard to pick a favorite because everything exceeded our expectations. Tip: Try the Fried Bread with Snapper Crudo, or dip it in the sauce, or by itself. All three methods are fantastic and were recommended by our waiter, Geral. The food was A+, but what really elevated the experience was the service. Geral was knowledgeable, personable, and made fantastic recommendations throughout the evening. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance of hip, classy, and upscale, making it an ideal place for a special occasion. This was our first time dining in Inman Park, and Beetle Cat made it a memorable one. BeetleCat is located in the Inman Park neighborhood, and there are SO many restaurants around there. It's such a cute area. I actually told my sister I could picture myself living there. I digress. The food and customer service were amazing. It is on the more costly side, but the Moqueca Stew was SO worth it. It was delicious, savory, tasty, just all of the above. The shrimp, fish, cashew, coconut... AMAZING. Everything was cooked perfectly. We all tried our dishes and mine was def the best! I will say, there were a couple of odd/disappointing things. My sister's lobster roll came out in burger buns and the portion was pretty small. We asked the server about it, and they mentioned there had been a lot of changes recently, and apparently not all of them were for the best. Then my sister's boyfriend ordered a side that never arrived. When we asked about it, the server said they couldn't go back there and ask for it because they weren't on the chef's good side??? Good side or not... we ordered the side.. it was weird. Overall, the Moqueca is a MUST and just a heads up that there seems to be some weird stuff going on behind the scenes.
