Quality of fast food in Philly is always rough, there's usually not enough employees to serve the amount of people coming in each day and the quality/service tends to suffer. This was NOT the case at this Chick-fil-A. I was so impressed at how friendly and efficient the team at this location is. They have a fully staffed counter area dedicated just to pickups alongside a staff helping out walk in customers. The place was so clean, promptly wiping down tables and picking up messes as people left. I was so late grabbing my pickup order and it was still so fresh. This was the best experience at a Chick-fil-A I've ever had. Even though its a bit out of the way for me, I'm going to prioritize this store over others because of how great my experience was! read more

What a pleasant surprise! I went to the fairly new City Avenue location. It was very busy and but the service was great. They took my order and I got a little card and went to find a seat. The table area was spotless. The bathroom was clean as well. There were employees centrally located to maintain all areas. My food was brought to me and the employee was so friendly and attentive; he even brought me back sauces. The food was hot and delicious. I will definitely return. read more

I'm writing this to file a complaint, not against this Chick-fil-A but against every other Chick-fil-A in the area. You all don't make chicken sandwiches like this one. Whatever this restaurant did between the hours of 11am and noon on Saturday, July 13, please repeat it. It is a winning formula. My sandwich was a little crispier than usual and really tasted like a sandwich from a more expensive restaurant. Maybe it was a fluke. I don't know. I'm hoping it wasn't and when I come back again, I hope I receive the same great tasting Deluxe Chicken Sandwich with pepperjack cheese. For the longest time, I've been singing the praises of Popeye's chicken sandwiches as the best tasting sandwiches under $10. I've scoffed at people who felt your sandwich was better. Now I've seen the light and it is because of my sandwich at this very location. I've ordered from here before, receiving delicious Chick-n-Strips meals. I feel this restaurant deserves my highest praise. I hope everyone can experience the difference that I've experienced here versus other Chick-fil-As. read more

Chick-fil-A's brand new location at The City Center on City Avenue in Philadelphia is at the perfect location, being next door to a very busy Target store. It took over the former California Pizza Kitchen space next to Chipotle and opened just 2 days ago from when I'm writing this review. This new restaurant is beautifully built. Greatly utilized space for dining and carry out. There are staff to greet you and when the line is long (as it will be early on just after its grand opening), there are employees ready to take your order to speed up the wait time. Despite the long line, I only had to wait 15 minutes from entering to exiting the restaurant. One thing that I have ZERO problem with was that the person whom took my order accidentally placed it as a spicy Chick-fil-A Deluxe meal instead of their traditional regular chicken. I did not know until I got back home that not only was the order corrected, they gave me both sandwiches! I was not expecting that and I was quite pleasantly surprised. This is a reflection of not just this business, but the great owner who wants to make it right. As for the owner, Sereena Quick is whom opened this Chick-fil-A. She previously worked at the Malvern location off Pennsylvania Route 29. Sereena did a wonderful job previewing the opening of Philadelphia's newest location over her social media platforms. Even got mentioned locally on WPVI-TV's newscast earlier this week. She also communicates with her customers (including me) on her business' Facebook page and that makes everyone feel like more than just being any customer. Makes me very happy. And on top of that, the food completely meets the expectations of Chick-fil-A's quality and being delicious! This is why it is so popular. Sereena has more than done her part. I highly recommend visiting this location. Great owner, great service, great food. read more

Like what I see so far, this is a new location and much needed in this area. I've been waiting for one to be put on city line Avenue for so long. It doesn't have a drive-through but that location is much bigger than I thought it would be and going in was no problem the line moved pretty quickly. There were three young ladies taking orders down the line. There was about 15 employees behind the counter getting orders out. There is a seating area as well. There is also a convenient parking garage. My food is hot and I can't wait to dig in. The staff also did an order check to verify that my order was placed correctly prior to putting it through. Order was shorted. On December 17th, I stopped by this location to pick up a lunch for my family. When I got home, the order was shorted by one sandwich. I called the number on the receipt and left a message. Manager called me back a week later and apologized. Provided a complimentary sandwich on my next visit (I got it the next day). Called several days later to make sure everything was OK. It is apparent that they care and run their business well. I will be a regular here going forward. Thank you. read more

I got to Chick Fil A around 7pm and the line was almost out the door. I almost got discouraged and left, but I noticed the friendly employees were taking our orders in the line. I ordered my food and waited to the side, and my meal was given to me in about 5 minutes. Despite the long line, this location has fast service and friendly staff. The place was well kept and clean. Fries were fresh and hot and my order was correct! I would recommend the Strawberry Lemonade and Honey Pimento sandwich. 10/10 ! read more

I ordered on Mobil App, food was ready when I arrived. Food was hot when I got home (9mins away) and order was correct. I love ordering in the App and I love the rewards/points I get for ordering at Chick-fil-A, but I was very disappointed when I did not get any points. Now I thought it was just me but this is the 3rd time I have been to this same location and not received any points. Best Chic-fil-a in the area!!! And it's Black owned and operated. The food is amazing, the chicken tastes better than other restaurants in the area. The staff are beyond friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my order. I love how they pay attention to detail. On 3/21/24, I went to the Chick-Fil-A in Cherry Hill. I ordered a 12 pc nugget meal and it the food was great! The wait time was only about 3 or 4 minutes! We'll be back here soon! read more

I was surprised at this chic fila ... floors were sticky and my food took approx. 15-20 min and was cold . Customer service was mediocre at best. Never again! I ordered a bacon egg & cheese biscuit and the biscuit was hard. Definitely not fresh. City Ave location is awful. read more

I had a terrible experience! I stopped at chickfila to order my clients meal , I was waiting for over 20 min and when I asked the woman how much longer I would be waiting the woman in the front who sadly I believe is a manager was beyond disrespectful. after I asked to speak with her higher up I over heard her tell one of the employees to spit in my drink! what disappointed me even more was there was another worker a African American women with blue eyes that could see what was going on and did nothing to help the situation. This location of Chick-fil-a is in a weird location behind Target and doesn't have a drive thru however it is in a perfect location. They recently opened up last month and every time I've been the line has been out of the door. Don't let the line discourage you because it moves fast. This location is a well oiled machine with plenty of workers. The staff are really nice and the food has always been served to me hot. When dining in there is someone who walks around asking if everything in your order is ok and if you need a refill. This location lives up to the Chick-fil-a standard of service. This has been my weekly go to since they opened. read more

I want to give this place 5 stars so bad because it's black woman owned, but they messed up my order and the customer service was lackluster. I originally wanted a spicy grilled chicken sandwich, but when I asked the cashier if they still had them, she replied with a dead "no." So, I ordered a grilled chicken club meal, which was $12 and some change. But when I went to eat my sandwich, I noticed they forgot the "club" part (bacon and cheese). So I ended up paying $2 extra just to get a regular grilled chicken sandwich (which is around $10). They also forgot my honey roasted barbecue sauce. It was pretty crowded since it's a new location, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I just know I'll have to check my food before I leave this location in the future. read more

Placed an $80 online pickup order, where the food did not start being made until I arrived. I sat there for 45 minutes waiting for my food to come out when I finally fought my way up to the counter, through all the delivery people I was handed a cold meal with an eye roll. I am HIGHLY disappointed with the City Ave location. I have tried to be patient with them because the store is brand new and I understand they have to get their groove with the volume based on the location. However, when the store opens at 6:30am and customers who actually took the time to drive there are getting turned away at 6:50am because "orders are backed up," that is absolutely unacceptable! When I walked in, there were only about 5 people in the store who already placed their order and was waiting for their food. So why do I get turned away? Why even unlock your doors? Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't people in person be priority over Door Dash orders? Every time I go to the City Ave location, the line is out the door and there is over a 35 minute wait for food. There have been times I walked out because of the wait time. I find it frustrating because the mobile order app doesn't even work, so I'm forced to order in person. There doesn't seem to be any effort on their part to resolve the wait time issue. If the only resolution you can think of is to turn customers away, then maybe they shouldn't be in business. That is the most unprofessional encounter I have ever experienced at Chick Fila. That is the type of behavior I expect at a Wendy's or McDonald's, which is why I don't go there. I had high hopes for this Chick fila location, but sadly I don't see it lasting long if they continue to conduct business in this manner. read more
