I know they open at 11am so I timed it with my errands so that I'd be swinging through around 1130am to grab the food. Run my errands and stop at Hen Solo on the way home only to come to a flashing "open" sign but the doors are locked and the restaurant is dark. I wait for a few minutes and finally see an employee come in the back door, and she comes out front. I told her I had a pickup order but since she literally just got there, I assume it wasn't ready and wouldn't be anytime soon. She asked if I could give her 20-30 minutes and I said no, I cannot - I timed it this way so that I could grab the food on my way back to work. I told her my name and order number, and asked her to cancel the order - which she said she would. Never did. Had to file a charge back on my credit card to get the money back. Them not opening on time has happened to me before but it was back when they first opened so I chalked it up to the fact that they were a brand new establishment. You guys have been open long enough to be able to open on time. If you're not going to, then you should turn off online ordering until someone is physically in the shop.

We were seated in the secondary room which quickly filled, and was just as loud. Conversation was difficult. Terrible acoustics. Pescatore is popular. I get it. Management wants to accommodate as many people as possible. As such, seating is tight and tables-for-two are postage sized. I can't deny that our meals were good. You can get vegetables as a side rather than mashed potatoes, but there's an upcharge. (I'm guessing they go with potatoes because they can make a batch and quickly ladle it out. Spaghetti -- my preference -- would likely have to be made-to-order. And as I said, the place is busy.) My husband and I shared a house salad which we topped with "fritto misto" - calamari, shrimp and peppers. Very good! He ordered Veal Saltimbocca and I, Chicken Romano. Both recommended, both with portions big enough for another meal. The staff is solicitous and friendly. Everything came out on a timely basis. We like what we ate. We appreciate BYOB. But that noise!
