A good place to stop for comfort food in the Harper's Ferry Area As of mid-2025, there are over 3,200 Chick-fil-A restaurants across the United States and about 23 in West Virginia. This location is one of those 23. It is about 15 minutes to the west of Harpers Ferry. I have visited many of their locations across several states and I am always impressed with their consistent service, cleanliness, food quality and tea. For me it is comfort food (and drink). We stopped by the Chick-fil-A near Harper's Ferry to pick up food for a family event. It was straightforward to get to with plenty of parking. The place was very clean and the staff were, as always, friendly. We ordered mac and cheese, chicken strips, brownies, market salads, and tea and lemonade for the group. Everything was prepared quickly when we arrived, with them giving us items as they were ready so loading the food in the car was easy. We originally thought that we ordered too much food but we were definitely wrong as there was nothing left after the event. It was delicious and well received by all of our crew. This place is awful compared to surrounding area chick fil a restaurants. They don't fill the fry containers, the fries they do give you are crumbled pieces that are burnt, hash browns are always soggy and broken apart and chicken is always cut in half for a reduced sized filet. Management clearly has no idea what they're doing, which is a shame. It's a chain restaurant with standards that are written out for them. We've gotten several orders from them and it's hit or miss and when I asked if everything was in there they assured me it was all the dressings all the condiments and of course it wasn't you spend $130 on a large order and then they failed to follow through I called when we discovered everything was wrong cuz it's 20 minutes away and the management team says oh we're so sorry we have two new employees. We bought it on the app will take care of you and take something off two weeks later they've done nothing as usual so I took off my great review about them and now the reality is what it is they fail to follow through they get a one star and between the different review platforms I have over 800 reviews so I give honest truthful reviews I give plenty of people five stars but this Chick-fil-A has failed again and again. 1 stat. read more

Honestly my favorite fast-food place. They have the best chicken and really good waffle fries. Sometimes I opt out the fries for their mac n cheese--also good. I enjoy using their app to accumulate points and end up with a free sandwich sometimes. Also whenever they have messed up my meal they are quick to apologize and make things right. We love Chik-fil-a. We are there probably every week. The CFA in Ranson just finished a renovation project. I believe I posted about it last week. The drive-through is a hot mess. After a terrible day today, all I wanted was a frozen lemonade. After awhile in the drive-through, we got to the front of the line and ordered. The person told me that their ice cream machine wasn't working. Open only a week and stuff is broken already?? And some of the hottest days of the year?? So here we are, stuck behind a bunch of cars because there is no pass through lane to exit! I am probably going to have to develop a new chicken perspective. We usually come here once a week as a family since it's one of the few places left in the Charles Town/Ranson area that usually has a pretty calm atmosphere. You can always count on great hospitality, the food being fresh, and a place for the kids to play while the adults unwind. However, the last couple times there has been more stressful and had a non family vibe than usual. These last two times there have been 6-8 bosses/upper management sitting around. They make the place instantly feel stuffy and uninviting; especially when they don't even acknowledge customers or associates. I know they have a job to do but to be constantly glaring down at the associates is annoying to the customers so I can only imagine how the associates feel. And forever being in their way by pretty much climbing over them and telling them what to do, while they are already doing it, is the best way you can make someone look like their completely incompetent and drive them away from being a worker at your restaurant. I know most have probably worked hard to get where they are being a suit, and kudos for getting there, but seriously don't forget where you came from! I've been in that boss position. Being friendly to everyone is the first way to make an impression. And working along side your associates is definitely going to be a plus! read more

I think almost everyone has heard of Chick Fil A so nothing groundbreaking here. However, I want to say that in my opinion, this location has the friendliest and most courteous staff I have ever encountered. You will always be greeted with a smile. The staff is happy to serve you. The food is served hot unless you want it cold. The food is ready and server promptly. This location is always very clean; even the restrooms. As you eat employees will walk around keeping things neat and clean and also ask if you would like your trash taken away or if you need anything at all. Honestly, every restaurant that serves food would be wise to emulate the Chick Fil A model. The management of this restaurant should be very proud of the staff working here. They are to be commended. More employees less quality. I was the only one in the drive thru and thee were 5 people there to take orders. A girl took my order. She didn't read the Eder back. I turn to grap my card to pay and when I turned back there was a guy. I told him that the girl hadn't order and I ask if he had my order and I repeat back what I order and he said I have it. I asked again because the total didn't look right. At the window I wait around 7 or more minutes. I had time to count three time the quantity of people they had there. 16. I got my package and no the drink. I was waiting then I asked for it. It was not in my order. I had to pay and wait for it a couple of more minutes. I didn't check the bag until I got my office. I would avoid this Chick-fil-A. Worth the drive to hit another CFA (Martinsburg, Frederick or Winchester). I've had better service at the McDonald's right next door. Today my wife went and asked for well done fries. The request was for 4 fries to be exact. She was denied the request. This was 10:45 on a Tuesday. I managed a CFA for 5 years and was a CFA grand opening trainer and helped train new staff. This request requires leaving an entire basket of fries down for 30seconds to a min depending on how well done the fry guy decided to make them (any fine by us). Instead of making a simple request during non peak time they refused. She then had to sit in the drive through for 8 min (more than enough time for a brand new kitchen staff to fulfill her request) while the line creeped along. Finally she drove to another location (CFA Martinsburg) who gladly fulfilled her request during the lunch rush. This location will never get another dime of my money. read more

Out of every single Chick-fil-A I've ever been to, This Chick-fil-A exceeds All expectations!!! I walked in just going to order a simple eight piece grilled chicken nuggets. The lady who is a manager there named "Denise" welcomes me and asked me how my day was going. I told her it was going kind of meh, and she was super sincere and hoped for a better day for me. Food is good and staff are great. Drive thru at this location is horrible however. I always end up sitting in line behind at least two cars with my food being handed over to get cold while waiting on the cars ahead to get their food. Why is there no pull over for people to wait so that the rest of the line doesn't suffer? Or have people pull around the building and bring it out so the rest of us can leave? Tonight there was me and three other cars sitting there with our food looking at the car in front on the window. It's pretty much a Chick-fil-a like all the others - same menu, same atmosphere. It's in semi-rural West Virgina, staffed by a few adults and lots of high-schoolers who mostly get it right, with occasional screwups. It's a solid place to get chicken. The best thing is the unfailing politeness of the staff; these people are unfailingly polite, even late at night. Win. read more

The last several times we have ordered we get home and are missing at least one item. This is not the service we are use to at this location. Not sure what has changed but this very frustrating. They always credit or offer for us to come back that is extra gas we are not reallly close to this location. I sure hope there service improves and gets back to the way we love. read more

Usually very good service and very friendly staff. Although today an older lady served me and was very rude. If you're not able to hand a customer their bag in the store then you should not be able to through a car window. As it is the same. Instead it was just set on the table and toldthat's where I'm supposed to pick it up. It was very unnecessary and uncalled for.
