    Spring roll with duck sauce
    Britney D.

I had the pleasure of dining here with my husband and in-laws after a visit to Nana. This place was definitely worth the stop. It is in downtown Harper's Ferry, a former home renovated to be a charming restaurant. The menu is large and has plenty of options to shit what ever your craving may be. My group enjoyed the spring rolls, seitan philly, nachos, and brat. Everything came out quickly and with substantial portions. My in-laws are not vegan but still enjoyed their meal, noting that the consistency and flavor of the brat and cheese on the nachos were good. If you can't sit inside, there are a fair amount of patio sets in the front grassy area to dine. I didn't try any sweets, but saw individually wrapped cookies and cupcakes neartly lined near the register and on a shelf next to it. I would certainly eat here again.

I've always eaten veggies but I've recently changed my diet to include even more. I've never been particularly impressed by vegan food but Kelley Farm Kitchen was excellent! ALaura took our order and helped out since it was our first time. I got a in-house made veggie burger on salad, without a bun. We got our food to go since it was getting late and ate it 2 hours later, when we made it to our hotel. The food was tasty, fresh, well seasoned, colorful and delicious. The salad mix included all the colors of the rainbow! The building is historic and unique. There is seating both inside and out! Life is good with wonderful service and a meal!

My family, which includes a dog, have recently learned about this place and visited 4 times so far. Whenever we have an opportunity, we drive from MoCo Maryland and try something new (but always include the macncheese as a side - best vegan one I have ever had). The menu has not disappointed us once. And definitely try the specials when they have them! Oh, ask for the bread pudding if they have it... so good!

I'm editing this review because the service was rated high, until the owner responded to me below calling me an Idiot. So now the service officially sucks and this is confirmed an establishment that is not as genuine as it appears. Team my original review below. In all fairness, my wife took me here without telling me it's vegan, so I will make sure this review is unbiased. If I had managed my expectations, I could have ordered something better. But because I didn't know it was vegan, I ordered the shawarma--coincidentally, my favorite food. Where I come from, shawarma has a maximum of three very specific ingredients: chicken, garlic, and pickles. That's it! We are already having a problem with people trying to remake shawarma by adding lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to it. And now here you have these guys advertising "shawarma" for something that has absolutely nothing to do with shawarma. It's a bootleg of a bootleg. This "shawarma" is essentially crispy mushroom, with cabbage greens, mayo, and tomatoes on a Greek pita. It's not even close to what a shawarma is. A Greek pita has nothing to do with shawarma! The problem is that some of these places try to be so considerate and inclusive in a way that ends up insulting cultures. You can't call this a shawarma and expect Syrians like myself to sit back and accept it. Shawarma is one of Syria's most authentic dishes, and this place stripped it of its authenticity because they think it's inclusive. It's culture hijacking, and it must be stopped. It's not inclusive; it's insulting. As a fellow Syrian--and keep in mind that Syria is one of the most original and authentic shawarma countries--I demand that you remove this word from your menu entirely. It does not belong on a vegan menu. And then the chef comes out of the restaurant, with all this audacity, talking to customers and saying, "You should have tried the shawarma--it's amazing." No, it's not. And you need to stop calling it shawarma. It's very provoking and misleading. Please look at the photo of this sandwich anyone who knows shawarma will be insulted to see this sandwich labelled Sahwarma!

    Avocado & pinto bean tacos

We popped into this vegan restaurant during a weekend visit to Harper's Ferry. There are about 4 tables in the restaurant and a nice outdoor seating area to the left of the restaurant entrance. You may place your order either at the kiosk on the porch or inside with the cashier. The benefit of using the kiosk is that there are photos for each menu item. I'm a visual gal so it appreciate that aspect. The food came out less than 10 minutes after ordering. Pinto & Avo Tacos ($15) - incredibly savory and satisfying! The creamy beans and avocado went to swell with the other crunchy elements of carrot and cabbage. The flour tortilla was warm and fluffy as well. Garlic-Onion Burger ($16) - Loved the aromatic toppings. Accompanied by kettle cooked chips and chili. Vanilla Oat Soft Serve - it wasn't super smooth, tiny ice crystals throughout. The vanilla had a similar flavor profile as McDonald's (not a ding! I love McDonald's soft serve!). It was refreshing but lacked the something "special". I would definitely stop again at Kelley Farm Kitchen the next time I come to the area.

I came to Harper's Ferry for a short day trip with my friends. We decided to stop here for lunch. The walk here from the town is uphill quite a ways, so it's not for the weak. The restaurant is cute and has indoor/outdoor seating options. Staff are friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The options are all plant based and the food was very delicious. Highly recommend checking out this place!

My experience here was awesome! The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a lot of outdoor seating and a few tables inside. Our food was very good and any non vegan eaters would be happy to eat here.

Italian sub with chips and pinto beans
    Tamira T.

Hubs came across an ad for this and asked if I wanted to try it. Heck, yeah, I did! Zero regrets so far, except I've only tried one thing, the Italian sub! It's probably the first thing I'd try at any vegan restaurant, because Italian subs were one of my all time fav foods as a kid. It was delicious, although if I were being picky I'd say there could be a better roll, and there was a hint of a flavor I didn't recognize that threw me off. No matter, though, still a ten in my book! I brought half of it home and added a little balsamic for dinner. Just having more than three choices in menu items throws me these days. I kinda wanna come back and try each and everything. I probably would if I lived in town. Hubs had the impossible burger, which is always the best choice for authentic burgers, IMO! I tasted it, and they do a better job of most of the sit down places that offer them. We split a chocolate cupcake, too, and it was delicious. Lots of outdoor seating for summer, but inside there's just a few tables, so imagine weekends at this point is mostly take out. Yes. I will be back!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Kelley Farm Kitchen. Neither my wife or I are vegan, but we both enjoyed our meal. I had a burger that was very good, I would have never guessed what I was eating was vegan, it looked, tasted, and had the texture of meat. My wife had sandwich that she loved. However, what stood out the most was our server, Ellie. She was very attentive to everyone she served, checked back to see if we needed anything, and moved with a purpose.

Ask the Community - Kelley Farm Kitchen

Do you have items for a low salt diet?

I do not work there or know their recipes but a good portion of their menu is made to order, so it would definitely be possible to ask them not to add salt depending on the item.

    Is there seating?

We offer outdoor picnic & patio style seating

My sisters allergic to all nuts, are they accommodating to but allergies?

We are 100% nut free/ with the exception of coconut. I, sondra the owner have a peanut allergy and take it very seriously- this is a safe place for you to eat you just need to make us aware if you are allergic to coconut

    Do they take reservations?

Yes! And you'll want to get one because this place is always packed, and for good reason!! If you don't have a reservation but can get on the waiting list, it's well worth the wait!!

    Are they pet friendly?

    Absolutely!

Fresh baked bread is on the rack when you walk in with many choices of breads (so many sourdough offerings ) and other baked goods such as cinnamon rolls, scones, shortbread, coconut macaroons, pepperoni rolls, etc. We arrived around noon on a Saturday and had plenty of choices. I was interested in their basic sourdough - two sizes available. The smaller ones were still too warm to slice, so I opted for the larger loaf. It's deceiving just how large this loaf is when it's on the rack, but sliced and bagged it was almost the length of my arm! And very reasonably prized at $13. They come in a freezer bag too! I also learned pepperoni rolls are one of the WV state food and this establishment won best pepperoni roll 4 times, so we tried those as well. So very good - it was a pretzel roll with prepperoni inside. We were lucky enough to get 2 or their 4 remaining cinnamon rolls. The lady helping us said they are worth every calorie and she was not exaggerating one bit! We took a bite of them in the parking lot before we left and I walked back in for the last two to take home and freeze. (Sorry for those after me!). They also offer local and delicious sounding jams, cheese, cheese, milks, and some little trays of cheese that would be perfect for an impromptu picnic with one of their pull apart baguettes. They also offer beverages in a cooler case. Super friendly team working there with absolutely high quality and delicious items.
