That was myself and my group of 15 students that had arrived to San Antonio for a student council state conference. We were hungry and tired and Chick-fil-A let us in, took our order in such a professional manner bagged all the food individually by student name, which had not been the case at the other restaurants and our cashier I want to say her name was shy. Food is as good as other Chick-fil-A. The staff is nice. Yet this is the slowest store I have ever experienced. Literally 25 minutes two weeks ago to get an 8 count nugget and fries. This morning, three cars in front of me ... just wanted a breakfast biscuit and it took 17 minutes. I also was asked to pull to the side as they were still not ready. 13 Dec 2025 We ducked in here to get out of the crowds of the Holidays on Houston St. fair. This is a very large restaurant. I guess it would be for downtown. I ordered the 12-ct nuggets and a couple of drinks. I thought the nuggets would be larger. They are pretty small. Talking to a friend later, she said her two nieces will split the 30-ct. I will say they are tasty. The servers are humping here. They take orders, then do a spell of cleaning off tables. For the crowds present, they took care of both well. This is the coolest CFA I've ever been to! It's located in a historic building, and the drive thru line goes into the old parking area! Inside the building!! went to this chick fil a because it's next to my hotel room and it was not good. I've never had this poor of an experience at a chick fil a. when trying to pay, the cashier just kept staring when it didn't work and I'm clearly struggling with the card reader and he's like "well do you have enough money to pay?" and after just brushing the comment off, it eventually worked. then they forgot the dressing to the wrap I ordered, gave my family all mediums when we asked for larges, and took a long time to get our order out they didn't give us any straws, and one of the workers there also had to take her order back because they got it wrong. read more

The food is really good but it took 49 minutes for the food to arrive. And they said it would only take 10 minutes.

Placed a mobile order for breakfast at 10am. My dentist appointment ran late and I wasn't going to be able to pick it up till after 10:30 so I tried calling the store MULTIPLE times, around 10 times to be exact and NOBODY answered the phone and when I got there they told me that I have to be there before 10:30 am to get breakfast and they canceled my order. Thought it was so cool that Chickfila opened up a drive thru downtown. Unfortunately, this is not nearly as efficient as their other locations. You'll spend 5-10xs longer in the drive thru line then you'll spend at any other location. At first I thought they were still just getting the hang of it, but they've been around long enough where they should have it figured out by now. read more

As always the service was friendly and quick. Location was well maintained and clean.

Definitely was disappointed after three days of not eating and being in the hospital I finally was able to eat, but was disappointed with the way. The meal was the bread was completely soggy. The vegetables were completely old. The fries were still and cold. The drinks were messed up my boyfriend got a refund on the drinks and on the fries, but not on the sandwiches. This review is for the drive-thru only. If you aren't familiar with downtown and the one way streets you may have some trouble finding the drive-thru, which thank goodness is on Soledad, a two way street. There are two drive-thrus and it wasn't busy when I went by on a weekday at 6pm. I could barely hear the employee asking to take my order but he was very polite. He told me to drive up to the window and I pulled forward but only saw sliding doors with no employees nearby. I kept driving thinking I would find the window and ended up back on Soledad so I zoomed through the drive-thru again and stopped by the sliding glass doors. An employee finally arrived and motioned for me to stay put. I heard an another employee approach his coworker and apologized. I think the apologetic employee was supposed to keep post at the sliding doors and that's why I didn't know to stop. They probably should have told to stop at the glass doors instead of a window. Now that I know the process it will be easier should I come by again. The food was no longer warm once I got home and the fries were browned from overcooking but didn't taste bad. The lemonade was delicious. Oh well. This Chick-Fil-A is right across the street from Hampton Inn so I'm sure the guests will appreciate having it so close by. read more

Lunch options for downtown workers are limited so this location gets super busy during the weekday lunch rush. Despite this your order generally is out quick. Location is newer so it's very clean and you need a code to access the restrooms. Food is always on point. read more

The food isn't that great compared to other chick fil a locations. This is the closest location since I live downtown and they are the SLOWEST ever. There will be one car in front of me and i'll wait 10-15 mins. They always forget the sauce even when I put in a mobile order. I use to work at chick-fil-a, so I know what the standards are. This Chick Fil A needs new ownership/management. It's a perfect example of just because you can do something doesn't mean you should or you're good at it - in this case that's owning and running a business. The hours for this Chick Fil A were ridiculously narrow compared to every other one in SA. They slightly adjusted these but it's beyond me why you wouldn't operate on normal hours if not extended given the location. They frequently leave things that make sense out of your order, ex: I'll order a soup and get a fork. Recently they rolled out a Mobile Drive Thru so you can "bypass the line" then they have the person taking orders for people who didn't order ahead literally stand at the point of the line where the cones force you to merge into a single file - so you're completely defeating the purpose of the Drive Thru feature because instead of me scanning and going I'm now stuck behind two people who haven't placed an order yet. Any time and efficiency that said Drive Thru is beyond lost on both the customers side and the restaurants. read more

This was the worst chick fila experience we've had. We went through the drive thru at the downtown San Antonio location (106 E Houston st). Not only did we have to repeat our order 3 times at the machine, the girl Vryse still had the order wrong when she read it back to us. Vryse had no sense of urgency, and when she gave us the order, she forgot the granola for the yogurt and gave us a FORK to eat it with. The drinks were also wrong. After having to tell her 3-4 times!
