My husband and I were buying gas at Costcos and saw there was a Chick-fil-A close by so I ordered online to eat in the dining room. Went inside, found and scanned our table in the dining room. Ed had the grilled deluxe chicken sandwich meal and I had the regular chicken sandwich meal. I like the sriracha sauce packets and requested it be added to my order. Everything came in good time just as we ordered. The server was pleasant. While there, I called my daughter-in-law to see if she'd like us to bring her something. We ordered a Market Grilled Chicken Salad online to take home. She hadn't eaten from Chick-Fil-A in ten years (when we lived in Florida). I was instructed on my app to come to the pick-up area. Don't be intimidated by the huge drive thru line when you pull up! This location knows how to get people through that drive thru faster than any other fast food place I know! We started all the way around Ashley's Furniture, and were out in about 7min. Not only that, but they've never gotten our order wrong. We can drive away without checking out bag in confidence. I love this place. Man, they run a good business. Always busy but quick through the line and to receive our food. Hot, fresh and yummy. Such courteous helpful, well trained staff. Even when busy, which seems to be all the time, the stores are always clean. The condiment bar with a basket to leave or take an extra sauce is a great idea. I sat in the drive-thru for 15 minutes before even making it to the person taking orders. And then another 10 minutes waiting to get to the window. No one said "my pleasure" and I know that's petty to add into this review, but honestly what is CFA without overly polite team members?? The kid at the window was rude and rushed us away without a single word. Just kinda tossed our bags and turned away. They were out of the dressing I wanted, whatever that happens. But the food wasn't even that great. My wrap had wilted lettuce and was inconsistent. I ordered half sweet tea/half diet lemonade.... there was no tea added. I don't know what happened. CFA at this location used to be an efficient, well-run operation. Never coming back. Our order was 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks! The staff lost our order. We were asked to pull over in front of the building. What should have taken 5 minutes through the drive-thru, in the middle of the lunch rush, took 45 minutes of waiting off to the side outside the location. We ended up having to mask up and walk in. Mind you two people in our car have autoimmune issues and are at high risk for COVID complications. This put them at risk, unnecessarily, simply because CFA is incompetent. Best service of any Chick-Fil-A I have been to and I have been to several. The spicy deluxe my fav was a healthy portion well seasoned chicken patty neatly tucked under a soft bun. Went to eat late lunch around 2:00pm. There were a few cars lined up in the drive thru, but inside was pretty empty. Surprised to see how big the spacious it actually was, with all the tables/seats, and even room for a little play area for kids. Unfortunately, they don't have enough parking spaces to accomodate for the number of seats available. With the service itself, Chick-Fil-A never disappoints with their bright workers. Also, this place is literally the fastest service I experienced. They beat me to the table with my order before I even sat down. I love Chick-fil-A, and have been eating at the franchise for decades. I don't know what it is with this location, but I don't remember the last time they got my order right! The worst one was when I got my Cobb Salad and there was NO chicken on it! I don't understand why this location has such a hard time getting it right! I had a woman tell me a couple of weeks ago that the special instructions (mobile app) didn't always get noticed by the kitchen staff. She said it was "hit or miss!" REALLY!? Come on! I absolutely love it here. This establishment and this particular location. I would drive 50 miles for the waffle cut fries if I had to. I also dig the grilled nuggets, I feel like it's healthier option while jam packed with flavor. At my most recent visit here our food was ready before we sat down and our runner had asked where we wanted to sit and grabbed our utensils for us (and also threw our trash away afterwards!) Super quick service served with a smile. Every time I go here there's barely any parking spaces but if you get lucky dining inside is relaxing. Brightly lit, calm music, fresh flowers, clean seating area. Hands down the best quick service dining restaurant IMO. Pro tip: All ages ranging from 2-72 love it here (seen it with my own eyes), bring everybody you know. Its delicious. I've never had a bad thing to say about any Chick-Fil-A, until now. This establishment is a disappointment; the workers are sloppy, and the food was inconsistent. 1.) saw a cook in line to order. She had hand stains all over her pants. Why on earth is a cook wiping their hands on the back of their pants??? Why are they not a) using gloves b) washing their hands or using a napkin instead? I can't believe this is someone making our food. To top it off, later in the restroom, I run into her again. I use the stall after her, and wow she made a huge (pee) mess on the toilet seat. Pulled out extra toilet paper that it was piled on the bathroom door. Isn't this your employer? Shouldn't you be leaving the stall cleaner than how you entered it? How does she not have respect for her own employer & others?? YOURE WEARING A UNIFORM! She's lucky I didn't see her name. 2.) our food wasn't the greatest. Some parts of my sandwich was mushy and other parts, extremely crispy. How ????? Same with the fries. Some weren't even fully cooked. This part isn't much of a big deal but it's rather annoying considering my sandwich was crap, I asked for extra pickles, but I didn't even get any! Good thing my husband asked for his pickles on the side and gave them to me. I don't like to judge, but usually Chick-Fil-A's are held to a higher standard for a fast food restaurant. I somewhat ironically moved from a state (California) with tons of Chick fil as to a state with one--and I didn't know what a gem I had back home. Chick-fil-a has the In-n-out attitude towards hiring clean, hard working fast food workers--basically the opposite of what you see at a McDonalds where having a pulse means you're a complete shoe-in. Staff aside, the food is very good as well. Well seasoned, with fresh produce. I'm not a pickle fan, but even their pickles are palatable on their sandwiches. The drive through can be intimidating, but it moves surprisingly quickly. I usually park and walk inside though. Yes there are lines, but the great thing is that they actually move through the well oiled machine which is Chick Fil A. Let's get some more of these bad boys! read more

I love Chick-Fil-A! I've been eating at this food chain since... I don't know when. There was several of them nearby while I grew up in California so I am familiar with their menu. So I was super excited when I knew they were opening 2 locations I'm thinking, each year WA gives me another reason for not moving back home to California LOL (All we need now is In-N-Out Burgers!!! Chick-Fil-A is a fast food restaurant that sells just that, a variety of chicken sandwiches. I believe it's a great alternative to your traditional fast food joint that sells beef at mass. Along with delicious waffle fries (a.k.a Cross cut fries), milkshakes, coffee. If you love Chicken, you'll enjoy this place!! The location is in a high traffic area which is great for their business, they have a play place for children and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. And I have to admit this is one of the largest Chick-Fil-A's I've seen. Being that they are just within their opening weeks, yes it's quite busy and parking is VERY scarce but I think it's worth a trip for those who already love this place and worth a try for those who haven't been here yet! They have a wonderful system down that makes going through a line of people or drive through run really smoothly. And I've always gone at their dinner hour so that's saying a lot! And as usual this place won't be for everybody. We all have different taste buds if you like it, you like it and if you don't well... You don't ever have to come back. Easy as that! I took the kids to go play and eat. When one of my kids came out the playground she had poop all over her clothes and shoes. We thought our kid had an accident but no, it was only on the outside of her clothes and was found inside the playground. I ask for a refund on our food because we can't sit and eat when one of our kids is covered in poop. One lady went ahead with the refund transition and gave me the receipt but said i'll get it back on my card when I paid in cash. She went into the back and the manager came out and said they couldn't do anything for us but offered a milkshake. The manger and her husband was extremely rude about the situation and had no empathy. They claimed they called everyone they could to get us a refund and everyone refused. Makes no sense when the first lady already went thru the whole refund transaction and couldn't give me back my money. Don't take your kids here because it shows they don't care to thoroughly clean the playground or take responsibility if something happens to the kids. read more

Most important to note: Waffle fries, REAL chicken nuggets and FRESH fruit cups for my little. Not the soaked in syrup kind of fruit you get at places like Applebee's and even Red Robin. As a mom I am always looking out for what's on the kids menu. The girls loved that they got to trade in their toy for an ice cream cone. I thought that was a great idea although not the best because now that she has it in her head, she's always going to want to do that. I foresee a future meltdown. More kid friendly aspects: the jungle gym. I feel better about taking my kid to a fast food joint when she can get an hour of exercise in afterward. The jungle gym is small but sufficient for children ages 2-8ish. We had an 11 year old with us and he still got crazy with the younger ones. (Shhh! There is a height restriction. But what can ya do...a kid gonna kid if a kid wanna kid) Free refills but you have to bring your cup to the counter. Bathrooms were tiny but clean. Fresh flowers on the table and our food was served to our table with a friendly "Hello Mrs.CC" I appreciate that. I cannot finish this review without mentioning the parking/drive thru situation. If I am ever in the area, hungry and in need of a quick bite- I will do a "drive by" to assess the situation. Finally! If you've never had the luxury of going to Chick-fil-A, you're missing out. Best chicken, hands down. The store just opened and is extremely busy, but it's to be expected since it's the only Chick-fil-A in the area. It's been a long time coming! The staff is well prepared to handle the masses, and service is quick. The line moves quickly, and the food is brought to the table within minutes after ordering. I like the cowbell table marker that they use to help identify a customer's order. Out of all the Chick-fil-A locations I've been to over the years, this is the first time I've seen it used. The food is fresh and delicious and customers have their choice of the original Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, nuggets, Chick-n-Strips, wraps, and salads. If you're not into fried food, not to worry because they offer amazing grilled chicken as well as a chicken salad sandwich. There are also a few tempting desserts as well as made from scratch lemonade. Yummy! They even offer catering services if you're looking for something special at your next event plus they serve breakfast. The service at this location is great because everyone is enthusiastic, and it's very fast paced. There was a slight error in my order and I was impressed with how quickly it was remedied. The staff was also really good about refilling customers' beverages so that they didn't have to go back to the register. There is no self-serve beverage station, so refills are handled at the main counter. The only drawback is the parking lot. It's rather small and can be a little trick to enter and exit. If you're leaving Tacoma Mall and driving on Steele Street, you cannot turn left into the parking lot. Instead, you have to go to the light at 38th Street and either make a u-turn or turn left and enter from 38th Street. When exiting the parking lot, you can only turn right onto Steele Street. This is going to be a bit of a challenge, especially since this intersection is already an extremely congested one. It's really worth it, though! There is an indoor kids' play area that is soundproof, so that's always a good thing. The dining area is spacious, and there are a few umbrella tables outside on the patio. Thank you to the staff as well for allowing me a unique opportunity on a few recent occasions prior to opening day. It was awesome, and I'm delighted to have been a part of it. Fast food isn't really my thing but I had a coupon from their app for a free chicken sandwich. One thing about this location is that it's super packed around noon. Try driving around the back of the furniture store and you'll magically end up in the drive thru lane. As for the food, I love the crispiness of the spicy chicken I had and how steaming hot it was. The waffle fries are crunchy and soft, awesome. I don't feel as 'dirty' as I usually feel from leaving a McDonald's so at least there's that. read more

Ok, so I've never been to a Chick-Fil-A ever! I've had chances but never took them especially when the company came under social media turmoil as I am all about LGBTQ rights and human equality. However, I am very glad I went to this location at the time I did. Well, the food is unreal. I, a chicken lover, have never been to a fast food joint and had real chicken meat in ANY items. The closest to real chicken in a fast food joint is my all time favorite Carl's Jr.. I would probably go to Carl's Jr. before I would go to any of its "larger" competitors (looking at you Mc Donalds) for chicken anything. Until now... I mean come on Chick-Fil-A, you aren't kidding when you have cows for mascots saying "Eat Mor Chikin". I'll eat more chicken at your place hands down. So, on this day we decided to venture out to this new Tacoma location there were a TON of people in line for the drive thru but the line inside the store wasn't bad. We were going to eat inside anyway and was quickly greeted by an associate outside assisting us with parking because, as you can imagine with any new fast food company new to the area, people are going to flock towards it. Well, that and because it shares its home with Ashley Furniture (hope they like chicken too), so you can imagine it's pretty cramped for lots of car and foot traffic. For being 2pm on a Friday afternoon it didn't look so bad, but as we parked, got in line and I slinked away from my group and found us a table the line had tripled!!!!!!!!! At least when we got in line we were inside by the entrance, now the line has spilled out and over towards the storefront windows. My SO and his dad order for us: A Chicken Club for dad, Spicy Chicken and a Chicken Deluxe for the boyfriend and I and a side of nuggets for the group. We all got meals with waffle fries and dad got a low-sugar lemonade while the SO and I got sodas (for the record, I told the SO to get me a lemonade and waffle fries and the rest is up to him, but failed on the lemonade part so, another reason to go back). People, if you have never been to a Chick-Fil-A anywhere there is one before these opened in WA you need to try these items: Spicy Chicken Sandwich (as recommended by my SO's brother), the lemonade (which is hand squeezed by their employees daily) and the Chick-Fil-A sauce, it will change your sauce game BIG time! My SO's dad said he had too much chicken in his Chicken Club the chicken was so real! Our sandwiches were amazing, my SO ate his in 2 seconds, really! I looked away for seriously 2 seconds and it was gone.... Chicken, so moist and juicy and that was the consensus around the group. The batter on the chicken sandwiches and nuggets were light and not heavy which gave way to more chicken flavor and meat! The waffle fries, oh sweet sweet waffle fries were naked, perfect for dipping (rubs hands together). They were large, hot and dip-able. I don't believe they are salted and if they were, well, I was just getting off being sick and this was the first meal I was eating after all that so my tastebuds could have been off. I, again, was not able to experience the lemonade but my SO's dad thought it was good. I don't like the word good because it could mean so many other things such as great, excellent, amazing, omg, whoa, etc... So hang tight to my update review when I finally go back and try one of my own. Really, if you're on the fence about trying Chick-Fil-A because of it's unfriendly past (Ahem, CEO dude, maybe just keep your personal preferences away from your business practices ok) you can be assured that all are welcome at this establishment. Treat it as a small business because the owners of this franchise most certainly are because franchising a fast food restaurant (with a unruly past especially) is hard and expensive. Why do you think some Taco Bell, DQ, Arby's (to name just a few off the top of my head) close down? They aren't ran by "corporate" where they send a robot manager, they are ran by locals like us, locals who decided to put lots of money down to bring in a business that isn't like all the others near by to bring us hungry food loving people good food. Food has always been good and consistent, service has always been friendly and prompt, and at last the long lines has shortened considerably and if they do begin to back up they have people outside taking your order to expedite the process.
