Chick-fil-A at Haygood Shopping Center is a regular stop when my son is here, He loves their Iced Tea. The half unsweetened/ half sweetened version he loves can be bought in gallon container. They're perfect for him when he's working, which he has to do most weekdays when he's visiting. My Grandson prefers their Chicken Strips for lunch. It's so easy to order via their App from home then pick it up in the drive through. Although this location is always very busy, they have the drive through process perfected. There's never a long wait. Today I did have to pull up and wait for the gallon of tea. I suspect I cleaned out their supply and more had to be brewed. This spot is one of the few fast food establishments where I will eat, preferring the grilled chicken sandwich or the new grilled chicken nuggets. The side I prefer is the kale salad. I really wish they still had coleslaw and baked beans. The store itself is typical fast food decor. Check your breakfast biscuit before pulling off from the drive through! I've been to this location before while in town and have never had a negative experience until today. I ordered a breakfast combo with a chicken biscuit. I seriously could not believe the size of the small piece of chicken! No exaggeration but it was the size of maybe two or three nuggets. I had to let corporate know...it was that significant. I wish I had checked before leaving and hope those after me got the rest of my chicken. read more

The sweet manager who was working tonight 8/7/26 at 10:00pm, I believe Ronaldo was his name -- deserves some praise and a raise for how kind he was. I placed an order for pickup on the app right before they closed and I mistakenly placed it for the wrong location because I was trying to hurry. When I pulled up, they had obviously closed but he tried to help us anyways and didn't treat us like a burden which most places at closing would have. He went out of his way when he didn't have to and made my kids and I extremely happy and we appreciate his kindness so much. Thank you for being so helpful, and thank you to all the staff at this location for always being so sweet and caring to their customers! This is probably the worst chick Fil a in the area, which is sad because it use to be one of the best. The last two or three times I've the staff has been aloof at best and more interested in playing games on their phone or talking to each other rather than providing a friendly and courteous interaction. It's not that they're rude per se but more they just seem annoyed that I'm there the last two or three times it's been the evening staff so I get it. It's made up of mostly young teenagers towards the end of the shift but still I guess I've just become accustomed to what was the standard Chick-fil-A service compared to what the evening team here is able to offer. read more

I have said many times that other fast food restaurants could learn a thing or two about how to perfect a drive thru. Chick-fil-A has really streamlined the drive thru and being able to order your food on their app, check in with one of the employees stationed in one of the two drive thru lanes and your food is ready by the time you arrive at the pick up window. I went into this Chik Fil A location to get a snack on a long road trip. I'd just met with some business associates and was hungry and tired. I went into this location to get some fries and the mens room was disgusting: the floor was literally filled with puddles of urine and the dry areas were sticky. When I went to order just one order of fries, I noticed the young lady at the counter looking at her phone and completely disinterested in helping me. When I finally caught her attention and placed my order, she took my name, and turned back to her phone. There was a stack of fries already sitting behind her and she could have easily picked one up immediately and for whatever reason chose to do nothing. Beside her I saw a manager laughing and carrying on with an employee who also seemed bored with nothing to do. The interior of the restaurant was almost empty with maybe 2 or 3 people inside eating. I waited and after a few minutes saw several delivery drives from GrubHub waiting for their orders as well while the staff continued to chat and have fun with their phones and socialize. Meanwhile there were stacks of fries sitting under the lights. After about ten minutes the young lady reached out to me, without speaking, and handed me the fries. She never acknowledged me in any way or spoke a single word, just stuck it out toward my face. I would never return to this Chik Fil A location because the mens room was filled with urine puddles and sticky floors, while staff joked around and had fun with their phones - leaving customers like me and delivery drivers waiting around unnecessarily waiting for orders. And on top of it all, the young lady at the desk was rude. When I worked customer service at hotels, restaurants, and in business if I'd treated a client or customer that way at the very least I'd get written up and given a warning. Here, the manager was also chatting it up with a young employee having fun, so either didn't notice it or just didn't care, or both. So, yes, sticky flooded mens room floors, long waits even when nobody's there, and rude employees. Who needs it? I don't. I can go to another chicken fast food joint or wait until I get home to eat and know I won't be disrespected again. read more

It's a long overdue and upgrade back to a full four stars for my go to Chick Fil A. There were enough issues over a period of time that I felt compelled to align the rating with A-OK. Now the same holds true of consistently above average service, food and cleanliness for almost a year. These issue still reflect in their 3.5 overall rating. I most often do the drive-thru and it is a well oiled double lane dream. The crew has it down pat with staff often outside taking orders and processing payment. They are efficient and friendly. The food comes out hot and is delicious. One of the things this store does that sits them apart is weekly food give aways such as Wednesday breakfast sandwich . They also do a dinner plus other things. On top of that they are very tied into to help local schools. The interior also deserves praise because this is why I downgraded on an update. More efficient at the counter, less mistakes and friendly staff. The cleanliness had been an occasional issue that I do not see. Shout out to longtime manager James who is an incredible employee and invaluable to their success. Also longtime owner Jason who recognizes me and says hello. He has weathered a bit of that storm with staff and is back on top. As a matter of fact corporate has awarded him a second store. A Norfolk location will be built outside the Norfolk Premium Outlets. Maybe it's my haircut or maybe because I was looking in my laptop. Idk it's crazy that here we are another place I've been this week and the customer service is poor. I'm sitting in the dining area at table 2 and I'm the only black person in here at the moment. So the guy in the orange chick fil a shirt with a beard and he's a white male speaks to everyone in the dining area. And completely ignores me. I didnt expect this at a chick fil a but I guess rudeness and lack of customer service exist everywhere. Especially when it's based on race. My first time here and it was not busy at all!!! Early afternoon on a Tuesday, there was no wait in line!!! Awesome! They had my fav (Asian Salad), the dressing and all the fixings!! Awesome! I am keeping one star because I tasted by babe's chicken sandwich and it was just ok! Not the awesome quality sandwich I know they can deliver. He enjoyed but when you bite someone else's sandwich it's supposed to be the best bite ever! It didn't make me want another bite :( Nevertheless, I did notice one feature I haven't seen in another location (Well I usually hit the drive-thru). They have table markers that you place on your table when you dine in. These are used to locate the guest that is waiting for their order. I saw a patron carrying one and I thought a sandwich wrap was in it. It was too cute, I wanted one. But it wasn't for sale! (I love trinkets)!! Well ...I love Chick-fil-A's FOOD and I love their EXCELLENT customer service... I stopped at this Chick-fil-A at least three or four times a week... I always stop by the drive-thru on my way home from fishing...Plus, they're the only good fast food that's open at 9:45pm. Tonight the fries taste like old grease URGGGGGH... sometime the fries are cold... but the sandwich was nice and hot,today ( oh well, it was 15 minutes before closing)..BUT, that will not deter me from eating something from Chick-fil-A.... This is my favorite Chick-fil-A location! If you follow their Facebook, you can see how involved they are with their community and their employee's. I love how they highlight and recognize their employees outside of their job at Chick-fil-A. From acknowledging people for their achievements with school, to welcoming staff babies into the world. It's super heart warming! I also love their location because they do FREE dinner on Mondays from 5-8PM and FREE breakfast on Wednesdays from open to 10:30AM. I'm not sure how long this will go on for, but I've been going for a few weeks now and I love Mondays and waking up early on Wednesdays just for free food haha. I came here for breakfast with my sister, and we were about to order usual chick-fil-a breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns, but we came across another customers order and got very curious to what it was bc we never seen that. Chick-fil-A serves breakfast platters!!! They do not display them on the the wall menu bc they don't promote it, unless someone orders at the register. The Breakfast platter consist of: fluffy scrambled eggs, a buttery biscuit, a choice of meat, and some sausage gravy. Hash browns are separate, so I had to pay extra. Clocked 18 minutes from when I placed my order to when I "pulled forward" as requested by the attendant... and they forgot the fork... Attempt 2 6 pm ordered a salad w no cheese and a sandwich. Clocked 16 minutes from when I placed my order to when I pulled forward as requested by the drive through window attendant AGAIN! This CFA needs help.. they have two lanes.. employees outside and both times has taken me close 20 minutes, and have had to pull forward and wait. read more

This is my favorite Chick-fil-A for SO MANY reasons! The food is always delicious and boy do they move fast! You really can't beat that. Sometimes they'll have their employees outside taking orders on a tablet and sometimes they don't. This last visit they did and it made the whole drive thru process so much easier! Let me just tell you, I have been debating on posting this for a few reasons. Mainly because of how embarrassing it is but I feel that they deserve the recognition for being so kind. I see others post about how active they are in the community and I haven't personally witnessed it because I don't follow them on social media but I can certainly tell you about my experience! I went by a few weeks ago without realizing that I left my debit card in my work pants back at home. I was having the worst possible day as a loved one had just very recently passed.
