We were greeted by a wonderful lady who walked us through everything--from their fresh, never-frozen chicken to the homemade meals and ice cream. We ended up trying a little bit of everything, and it all lived up to the hype. This place is the real deal.

Found this spot after a quick Google for dinner while in town. I was so excited to try it because I rarely see chicken livers or gizzards sold anywhere. Imagine my disappointment when I walked up to order it and they were out. My heart was broken! I ended up just getting fried chicken and a couple of sides. The chicken was just okay. The butter beans were good as well as the Brunswick stew. They did let us taste test some homemade peanut butter from another local business and it was good. My brother bought a container of it! If I'm ever back in the area, I'll give the chicken livers a try! Service was good and plenty of seating. Parking is gravel, FYI, but lots of it.

BoBo's has been on my list for a long time. I finally got to go and get some take out. Next time I want to sit inside. Friendly people, She even gave me recommendations. I ordered exactly what she told me to. It was their fried chicken. Very good .

Local as can be...Bobo's serves up locally sourced fried chicken and sides that are authentic to this part of the South. The chicken is meaty and moist whether on the bone or as the 5-piece tender meal. Mac & Cheese and collard greens are outstanding. They also serve up livers& gizzards...which is worth trying if you've never had. Sweet tea is on point as is the 'bobo's sauce'. There are also a variety of homemade ice creams. Bobo's used to be considered pricey, but as prices rose elsewhere, Bobo's stayed pretty much the same, so it's not too bad for a family of 4.

To be honest, I did not expect to love this place quite so much. Location is convenient and really cute with plenty of parking. I haven't experienced the drive thru, but love that it is another option. The service was incredible. So welcoming, friendly and gave great recommendations. I ordered the chicken strip meal which was delicious. I got the stewed okra and the Brunswick Stew as my sides and honestly, they were the star of the show. Will definitely be back!

I will say this... I don't know anywhere else where I can get this kind of quality experience at a restaurant with a drive-thru. Bo Bo's is killing it. Crispy fried chicken, decent Mac and cheese, greens and some of the most satisfying slaw I've ever had. The service is spectacular. Drive-thru experience is better than I expected. Fresh squeezed lemonade is done right. They have a couple beer options too, which I love. French donuts are hella good. Bo Bo's is my new spot when I'm in the mood for some comfort food.

Stopped here on my way back home after my dentist appointment on 04/25/23. I have only had their breakfast here once before and it was so good and decided I needed to get it again. I got the chicken biscuit, cheddar baked grits and a glazed french donut. The biscuit was so tender and the chicken seasoned just right and the baked grits were so creamy and perfect. The french donut was very light and airy. Different from other donuts I have had. I would definitely get that again. I will definitely have to go back again for all that yummy breakfast goodness!

Everything is homemade! As soon you walk in it gives you cute country down home vibes! The ice cream best ever!! We had the cantaloupe ice cream and the Virginia peanut ice cream so hard to choose which one is better!! Down to lemonade everything was top tier! They even have a drive threw on days after the beach you're too tired to get out!

Bobo's Fine chicken is really FINE! I ordered the 2 piece dark meat meal with mac n cheese and Brunswick Stew for side, the bobo sauce and dill ranch. Although I'm not a big fan of the sides, their fried chicken is just too good for me to take any star off! The service is also great. I told the cashier it's my first time here so I'm still looking, and he made sure if I have any question I can ask me. There are so much more space and tables than it seems so don't worry if you have a group of people/family. Although it is a restaurant, it feels like a museum, in a good way. The chicken. The skin is crispy like chips, and the batter has a very unique taste. I love dark meat because they are jucier, but boi aren't they juicy! After that delicious crispy skin was devoured, I touched the meat and it just came off the bone! The meat is very moist and juicy. I tried to dip it in the dill ranch sauce, and that was probably my favorite ranch I've had. First of all I like sauce that are not sweet but tangy, and this ranch is exactly what it is, tangy and creamy. There's also a hint of lemon so it's very refreshing. However, the Bobo's sauce is somewhat a disappointment. Although the cashier said it's like thousand island, I think it's just a mixed of ketchup and mayo, which was not some special sauce. I'm not a fan of the sides because the mac n cheese is powder-ish for some reason and it's dry. The Brunswick Stew is not bad but the pork flavor is too strong for me, but I'm sure it's just personal preference. The chicken also comes with a corn "bread" and it's not bad but it's thin like a cardboard. I want them cornbread thicc tho. Overall, the chicken lived up to its name cuz they're real fine, but the sides are meh. I'd definitely come back for their dark meat, or try the tenders and sandwich. I'd still give the other sides a try, hopefully they can surprise me!

We also ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy and a chorizo omelette, substituting the goat cheese for cheddar. Both dishes were outstanding and offered great value for the price. The wait can be long, especially on weekends, but the experience while waiting actually adds to the charm. There's an outdoor bar with plenty of drinks to choose from, covered patios for relaxing, and even board games to enjoy while you wait for your table. The service was excellent from start to finish. Free valet parking is also available, though tipping is definitely encouraged. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the Virginia Beach area

The servers and staff are observant and focused on small details that really set Heirloom apart. I especially love the part of the dining room filled with lush hanging plants. We visit several times a year and are always impressed by the quality. We always order the She Crab soup and a Wedge Salad as appetizers to share. They are both so good, I'd probably request them as my last meal! The She Crab soup is absolute perfection, creamy and full of lump crab. I will not order She Crab soup anywhere else after trying theirs. The wedge has pickled onions, candied bacon, blue cheese and some kind of marinated or pickled tomato. Paired all together to make the perfect bite. We have tried a lot of the menu, it does rotate around seasonally, but there are some items that are consistent. The burger was absolutely decadent but not overwhelming. I usually order the "secret", not so secret Shrimp dinner that's not on the menu anymore. You get 6 of their amazing fried shrimp, a magical dipping sauce (cant' describe it!), and 2 sides. (see what's their seasonal sides!) Heirloom will remain one of our favorite places in the 757 to celebrate special occasions!

One piece of advice: arrive a little before Happy Hour begins at 3:00 p.m. If you wait until then, you'll likely find yourself several people deep in line. Don't let that discourage you. Embrace it, because once you're seated you'll quickly discover that the wait was well worth it. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices--especially during Happy Hour--are outstanding. The Atlantic specializes in oysters, and their Happy Hour runs daily from 3:00-6:00 p.m., including weekends. We began with a Chopped Caesar Salad ($9). Every ingredient was crisp, fresh, and flavorful--a simple dish executed exactly as it should be. Next came the oysters: a dozen Rockefeller and a dozen Pacific. The Rockefeller oysters were everything you would expect from this classic preparation--rich, savory, and baked beautifully. The Pacific oysters, however, completely stole the show. Each oyster was topped with a delicious combination of chorizo sausage, pepper jack cheese, and seasonings before being baked to perfection. They were bold, flavorful, and easily my favorite item of the afternoon. I also ordered the Double Stack Cheeseburger ($7), and what a terrific value. The burger arrived piping hot, loaded with melted cheese, and accompanied by a generous serving of crispy fries. It's hard to imagine finding a better burger at that price anywhere along the Oceanfront. My wife ordered the pork, shrimp, and kimchi dumplings served with a chili crunch and ponzu sauce that tied the entire dish together beautifully. She jokingly threatened to drink the remaining sauce after finishing the dumplings (she didn't), but she did convince me to dip one of my fries into it. She was absolutely right--it was fantastic. In fact, I now regret turning down the dumpling she generously offered me. Part of the fun of dining here is watching Shuck-Master Slim work. He's not only remarkably skilled but entertaining as well, adding a little personality to an already enjoyable experience. From the fresh seafood to the outstanding value and friendly atmosphere, this was another memorable visit to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. If you haven't been to The Atlantic on Pacific, I highly recommend adding it to your list. You'll be glad you did, and you can rest assured that you're helping support one of our outstanding local restaurants.
