But the friendly worker taking my order clearly had other plans--because somehow, I got talked into trying the seasonal mint milkshake. And let me tell you... no regrets. It was creamy, minty, and basically tasted like the holidays decided to show up early and bless my taste buds. The line moved fast, my food was hot, and everyone was so friendly, it always feels like I'd stumbled into a parallel universe where customer service still thrives. The Heritage Chick-Fil-A has the mobile app ordering down as once you scan the QR code and pull up, your order is pretty quickly brought out. This has happened consistently even with my special orders. With the mobile app ordering, I have not had a wrong order yet. So the service has been exceptional. What is nice with this location is the drive thru exit has an additional lane so you can pull out rather than wait for all the cars ahead of you to get their orders. Sometimes the nuggets are still overcooked here so they need to have more quality control checks. Then I like they are generous with the condiments so I can have a few with each order. I also like the market salad here but I get that without chicken as I prefer it that way. So ordering it that way had been a problem in the past but no issues on the mobile app. read more

Chick-fil-A is usually a Friday breakfast treat for my girls, but the past two Fridays at the Wake Forest location have been a complete disaster. First, we waited more than 15 minutes after the mobile app said our order was ready. When we finally received it, items were missing. On top of that, one of the managers, Suzanne, was extremely rude during our interaction, which was very disappointing from someone in a leadership role. Unfortunately, the worst part came when my daughter called me later to say she found hair in her food. I asked her to wrap everything up and put it back in her lunchbox so I could check it myself. When I looked, there was a very long piece of hair in the food. Absolutely unacceptable and honestly just gross. Wake Forest Chick-fil-A, please do better. I was so glad to see it open. We've been through the drive thru a lot here. I've never had a bad experience. This CFA used to be my "go to" but they have been on a decline these past few months. I stopped coming here for a while and started going to the Retail Dr location which is a smidgen better. I love CFA & this location is convenient to my home. I always go through the drive thru which could sometimes be very disorganized and hectic. The staff isn't always friendly & it's not always "their pleasure", but I let it go because I love the food. A lot of the time, the food isn't fresh, but I keep going back time and time again. I guess I will learn one day. I'm just not impressed by this location. It's located within a small yet busy shopping center. Be careful because people speed through there all the time. Our new neighborhood Chick-fil-A opened today. Much more convenient (for me) than the cross-town Wake Forest location -- this one is around the corner. Despite the warnings about traffic and crowds I braved my way to the new store today for breakfast. I am pleased to report that the lines were short -- order to pickup in less than 2 minutes. Abigail took my order at the drive thru - and as always it was "her pleasure". Food is exactly as it always is... Piping hot and flavorful. Keep up the good work! What I eclectic from a Chick-Fil-A, courteous and fast service. Amid the pandemic, they were careful but consistently polite and friendly as always! They served our food to us via drive thru by loading our bag and drinks into a Rubbermaid tub and we had zero contact. Food was hot and correct, win win! There is not really enough parking and the drive thru looked a bit tricky to navigate (first visit here), but they're doing their best to handle the crowds. It's a nice addition to WF, but it also brings a lot of traffic, which this location really cannot afford to have. read more

I'm not sure what's going on at this location but I consistently order the same grilled chicken sandwich every time I go. The piece of chicken was literally so small and thin I could barely taste it between the bread that it didn't even fit into. The sandwich is priced relatively high for fast food but it's always been great. Could be a new vendor issue but I'll take a break for a while. Hopefully they get better. Do not go to this Chickfila if you want salads or wraps! The salads I got from here are either frozen or super small compared to any other location we've been to and we've been coming to Chick-fil-A for years! The wrap I got today had barely anything in it and was mostly wrap! I sent it back and they gave me one that looked the same if not smaller!! I told the manager and all he said was sorry about that. This is the closest CFA location to my home so we frequent it plenty. I respect the owner very much as he is a prominent figure in our community and gives back. My complaint is the order-ahead line. It was created after the drive-thru was built and there is not adequate room for both lanes to freely flow and on multiple occasions the order-ahead line is backed up because the cars can not progress because of the bottle neck caused by the narrow section. I have also frequently run over the curb trying to get through the right lane when I have not ordered ahead. It is a nightmare at peak times. This should be addressed immediately. read more

Just went thru the drive thru at the new spot in WAke Forest by Harris Teeter. Very nice and pretty fast as usual. Took less than 5 mins noticed that the drive they lanes are equipped with Heaters and fans above the cars, pretty nice. Ordered the sausage,egg and cheese biscuit delicious as usual. Slowest chick-fil-a on planet earth. It doesn't matter if you dine in or take out either way you will be sitting and waiting for an unbelievable amount of time. Every time I go I think "they most have gotten better it won't be as long as last time" only to end up waiting longer than the times before. My wife and daughter visit this location pretty much every Wednesday evening. Although the service is normally very great. There seems to be an issue with food quality. My two girls are huge fans of Chic-Fil-A and could eat it everyday. Unfortunately though, every single time we have ordered a kids chicken nugget, it appears my daughter is given old crusty nuggets. Normally very tough and dry. Being a veteran of the restaurant industry, I can say that these nuggets are left over and have been sitting under a head lamp waiting to be thrown on a salad or in a bag for a kid. It's disappointing when a 5 year old knows they are not getting quality food. Kids should be number one priority and deserve the same quality that would be served to an adult. Just saying. read more

The food and employees are great. Food comes out fast, that is a 5/5 star. Downside is the intentional poor design of traffic. When it becomes busy, traffic will bleed out into an important road and clog 1 out of the 2 important exits out of the plaza because customers are waiting to simply enter the CFA drive-through. read more

I hate to do this, since I absolutely love chick-fil-a, but the mess ups have happened far too often for me to just sit back. Countless times, we have come to this locations drive thru (which is SUPER FAST, so props for efficiency), only to find that our order is always wrong. Something(s) are always missing! Whether it be an order of fries, an order of chicken strips or drinks. One time they forgot our cookies and I literally drove back 15 minutes for them, yet I was never compensated for my inconvenience- in fact, I sat there in the parking lot waiting for awhile to get my cookies. Not to mention the grilled chicken sandwich at this location tastes like rubber, super over cooked . They're starting to slide downhill, sad to say. This was a great place and its still good, compared to McDonalds across the street. But - i'm in the drive-thru almost every morning and now they're jacking up my order on a fairly regular basis. Absolute chaos in the parking lot. No direction from employees to make the traffic flow simpler. People cutting off people in the drive thru which then leads to customers getting asked 10 different times what their name is in order to deliver the correct meal. Everytime I go to this location my order is not right. I have waited as long as 20 minutes for an order that was placed over the app. no-one ever came and asked why I was sitting there so long. I finally asked someone for help. No explanation was offered just waited another 5-10 minutes for my order until it was brought out. Fries were "warm" and nuggets were crunchy. Also DoorDashed a meal with 2 items and the main item, egg white English muffin was not there. I did not call but gosh this location needs more employees or someone to double check the orders. For the love of god, do not come here during "after school" hours. It is an absolute zoo. Loud, rambunctious, and kids literally crawling on furniture. Basically just a high school cafeteria.
