Simply Delicious We have been looking for a good seafood restaurant since we moved away from the coast; and we have found one in Rolesville. Granchio is a straightforward, outstanding eatery that serves perfectly prepared dishes that are creative and flavorful. Portions are generous and the seasonings imaginative. All the staff (servers, chef, owners) are friendly and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a real 'feel-good' place to enjoy a sumptuous meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While there are a some tasty pasta dishes and other options on the menu, the shellfish creations are the stars of the show. My favorites are the BOIL BAGS. The 1/2 pound portion comes with one Corn on the Cob and one large Boiled Potato. The one pound portions come with two each. Choices are Shrimp; Snow Crab; King Crab; Lobster Tail; Green Mussels; Black Mussels and Crawfish. Sauce options include Cajun, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Butter or Granchio House (a combination of all three). You can also chose between mild, medium or hot spice levels. The Black Mussel Boil Bag was absolutely delicious. The Mussels were slightly sweet, tender, plump and cook just until they opened. I chose the House Sauce seasoned somewhere between medium and hot. It was perfect - tangy, zesty, peppery, buttery and loaded with flavor. The Potato was large and the Corn drenched in the great sauce. I added the extra Sausage and had plenty for a filling dinner and lunch the next day. Another delightful surprise was the Blue Crab Ravioli. The ample pasta envelopes were stuffed with succulent Maryland Blue Crab and fresh Ricotta Cheese and covered with a creamy Red Vodka Sauce. Again, there was enough for an ample dinner and leftover lunch. We can also recommend either the Shrimp Cocktail or the Fried Oyster Appetizers. The Shrimp were just the right size, perfectly chilled and served with a zesty cocktail sauce. The Oysters tasted fresh and the spicy Oyster Dipping Sauce was just hot enough to get your attention. Another favorite is the Snow Crab Boil Bag. The flavorful snowy white meat locked up inside each leg takes a little work, but is worth the effort. It is sweet with a slight hint of the ocean and a pure delight when paired with the lively House Sauce. Finish you feast with a large serving of heavenly Tiramisu. It will put a smile on your face.

    Granchio Seafood Pasta

The seafood pasta is incredible. You can taste the real garlic (not powder), the tomato sauce looks home made. All seasonings are fresh, It is well made and delicious. Just giving 4 stars because they forgot to add extra shrimp on my pasta as I ordered and the appetizer fried calamari was not crunchy and came after our plates. So they have good potential, just need to be better on little details.

Granchio is a small full-service restaurant in Rolesville that has an interesting menu. Much variety. They specialize in Seafood & Pasta. And they also have wings. Seafood is not southern style. There are boils, as well as pastas and some fried baskets. We were delighted to discover they are open all day on Saturday, so getting hungry at an off-time (around 2pm) served us well here. There was only one other couple in the place, and Emily provided totally charming enthusiastic service. This Gal loves her job and loves the food. I tried the Granchio pasta with Mussels, Shrimp, Clams & Crab, with their signature sauce. Came with a piece of plain white bread. It was tasty, pasta and seafood cooked ok, but it was way too oily rich for my taste. Heavy on pasta and oil, lighter on seafood. Crab was one small piece. Shrimp large. Clams small. Mussels good. Seasoning was a light Cajun. This dish was crying out for some veggies, imho. I ate the seafood and took most of the pasta home and mixed in a ton of fresh spinach, while avoiding some of the oil. Husband's meal was fantastic. He loved the fried shrimp and their seasoned fries. They use a panko breading. Shrimp again were very large and even their cocktail sauce was delicious. Not in a horseradish way, but just in a very fresh way. Speaking of fresh, the side salad he ordered with blue cheese was very fresh and made him super happy. Will definitely go back, but in my case, I would order differently. Would also love it if they had some kind of lighter seafood option, such as grilled or blacked seafood.

Starting with drinks, Lavender Lemon Martini and Bourbon Peach Tea.

Food delicious, seafood traditional was too good and large portion. Rubies had chef salad and Asian chicken wings, 100% better than Buffalo Wild Wings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small intimate space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] W3 arrive at 5pm, they opened at 4pm. 6pm would have been too late. Service friendly and attentive.

This restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with a shared parking lot in front. There were several tables inside but the business isn't that large. We came during the week & were seated right away. Our server was nice but not overly personable. I ordered the shrimp basket which was served with fries. The shrimp was large and tasted good. My fries were seasoned well and my food was hot. The chicken wings were large and tasted ok as well. After we ate our service came & brought out our check without asking us if we were done. After our bill was paid we didn't leave right away but the server never came back to get our dirty trays. I would possibly return for the food and hope for better service.

Looked up the review on yelp and found this place in rolesville. It does not have a lot of seating and I do see a lot of pick up orders. So plan accordingly. We came early on a Friday evening around 6 - the place was about half full. Very nice and attentive staff - cleaned a table and sat us down. We like the fried calamari - dipping sauce was great and not overly battered. My 10 year old loves the fried fish basket with sweet potato fries. He didn't care for the Cole slaw though. Hubby ordered 1/2 pounds shrimp and 1/2 crab legs in the house sauce. It was pretty good - came with corn and potatoes. I just had a salad - nothing to complain about. When we left we saw more ppl strolling in. Nice find relatively close to home. Will come again and try other dishes.

This spot is hidden in plain sight! We literally passed it a few weeks ago. I thought it was something completely different. I'm so glad it was recommended & we decided to give it a try. Overall, we really enjoyed the vibe, food, & superior service. It's been a very long time since we've had services like Fahn and Nikki provided during our visit. I was impressed! The food was DELICIOUS! I appreciated the seafood boil being served in a tray vs. in a bag and bucket. We went for dinner here. There were plenty of places to sit inside, but it appears many people order delivery/takeout. We will definitely be going back for more Bang Bang shrimp & seafood boils but also to try their other food options. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol but loves mixed drinks, the only thing I'd change is possibly add one or two mocktail options to the menu.

This place is easily one of my favorite places to eat when visiting Raleigh area! Truly didn't expect the food to be so good and the selections were endless for seafood & pasta with great prices! The blue crab ravioli was my favorite the sauce & crab were absolutely delicious! My cousin had the shrimp Alfredo and said the same thing! The drinks were also amazing! The waitress was great, knowledgeable, and very friendly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant so family friendly and overall a great place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to visit this restaurant again!

Great food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First time to this cute restaurant other than not having small forks or picks for crab legs everything else was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fabulous decor and food was tasty and affordable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came on holiday weekend and snagged last table but I bet there is a wait and would be worth a wait for delicious seafood. I will be back!

Lovely local restaurants. Waitress was very nice and personable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience is welcoming and nicely decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall a great experience that we will for sure revisit. Wife and I got boil meals which were delicious. She got the plain with hot spices on the side to share with the kids and I got the Louisiana with hot spices. Highly recommend the hot spices with their Granchio sauce. Also, if you are a Margherita person gotta get the passionfruit Margherita.

What a gem of a restaurant! Everything we've had here is so good. Among the favorites: - Wings - Seafood boil bags - Crab ravioli - Granchio pasta (anything with Granchio sauce is delicious) - Tom Yum pasta, a recent addition to the menu Love the fusion of cultures in the food here that's reflective of the owners' cultures. Staff and owners are really nice.

Granchio is a newer restaurant in the Rolesville area. It is on the smaller side with some tables and high top tables. It is both a take out and sit down restaurant, although not full service. Ordering is done at the counter. Although when you enter they let you take the menu to a table to look at and then go back to the counter to order. It would be easier to order from the table or just look at the menu at the counter and order from there. Service at the counter was friendly and the owner did come out to check how everything was. I went with the fettuccine alfredo and added shrimp. It was delicious and the sauce not too heavy. I got the lunch portion and the portion was generous. I would have enjoyed the visit here more if it was full service as with the large menu that just makes it easier. Then you get your own beverages and bus your own table too. Hopefully they will figure out a better way to operate the dine in part of the business. I will return here again and try other menu items but will likely just do take out next time.

Why is this place not getting the big crowds it deserves --of course, I wanted to gate-keep this spot for ourselves too but they are amazing! The food was not only neatly plated, but it was all amazing! Hands down, the best seafood in RDU area where the house sauce is not salty or garlicky like other places + Alfredo sauce was not heavy but just right. Very small business, leaving the service to be top tier and very personable. Since seeing other previous reviews, they have changed to full service and take orders at the table. Will definitely be back as a regular customer!

We couldn't decide which was better, they were both delicious, not at all the cafeteria restaurant soup we almost expected, but very homemade. $5 a cup, but $3.90 since we ordered lunch menu items. Well worth the money! Lunch was Fish 'n Chips for me; super good crispy fried white fish, not greasy at all, which is the sure fire way to ruin any fried meal. The fries are really good, too, almost McDonaldy. Comes with tartar, ketchup, malt vinegar (asked for), and a really good garlic aioli. Hubs had Shrimp Risotto, which was blackened shrimp over really creamy risotto with red peppers, scallion, and tomato. Delicious. Also couldn't decide who got the better lunch. Our lunch specials were less than $15 each, a bargain today, and we each took half home. Hubs also had a beer, and I had the house Cabernet, which was really smooth. Around $50 for everything; didn't mind spending that at all since everything was so good. Really glad we found this newer place; fingers crossed it doesn't go the way of so many downhill the longer they're here.

You really do 'get what you pay for'. The bar and dining area are casual, modern and inviting. There is also a spacious patio for al fresco dining when the weather is nice. I was particularly impressed with the Salmon BLT. This enhanced version of the classic BLT is hearty, meaty, slightly crunchy and simply delicious. Another favorite of ours is the Honey-Chipotle Shrimp Wrap with lettuce and roasted red peppers. There are plenty of lightly fried, slightly briny shrimp crammed into an interesting spinach tortilla wrap. The unlimited basket of golden brown, almost sweet Hush Puppies comes with semi-soft honey butter - addictive. There are several lunch options on the 'Small Plate' menu (we found the servings to be more than adequate). That old standard, Fish and Chips was done to perfection. The thick piece of delicate, mild white fish was was covered in a light, golden-brown batter. I substituted Fried Okra for the Potatoes, and it was delicious. The Flounder and Oyster small plate is another winner. The ten crunchy, juicy fried oysters and a large founder filet were cooked just right. Small plates also include a small cup of Cole Slaw. The colossal slice of Coconut Cheesecake was simply scrumptious - creamy, smooth and so coconutty. Do yourself a favor and indulge.

After running errands, we drove just six minutes to El Chapin, a Guatemalan restaurant. Forget Tex-Mex--this is a completely different Latin cuisine experience. The two of us spent $76 (including tax and tip), but we intentionally ordered extra to take home leftovers. Parking was easy, right out front, and the restaurant itself is spacious. Since we arrived just a few minutes after opening, we had the place to ourselves at first and were seated immediately. Service was prompt and very helpful--the server even suggested we might have ordered too much food (he was right, but we didn't mind!). Here's what we tried: Plato Chorizo y Longaniza - a sausage platter with salad, rice, refried black beans, and two delicious housemade corn tortillas. Pollo Adobado - marinated chicken with rice, salad, refried black beans and two housemade corn tortillas . Ceviche de Camarón - fresh and tangy, though light on shrimp, which tasted a bit tough Fried Plantains - perfectly done, sweet, and satisfying. Plus, I had an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. The highlights for me were the flavorful rice (with vegetables mixed in, including carrots and squash), the marinated chicken, and the sausages. The plantains were also excellent. The ceviche had great flavor but could've used more shrimp. The only miss for me was the salad--generous in portion but iceberg-based, so a bit bland. Overall, the food was fresh, flavorful, not heavy or greasy, and we left with enough for another one or two meals. We'll definitely be back.
