I swap out the toy for an ice cream cone, so it's a perfect meal two strips, fries, a drink and ice cream cone for seven something. New location at 3001 W. Cheltenham Ave in Wyncote,Pa across from Cedarbrook Mall Plaza. I was actually an employee here for 3 1/2 days and actually was bullied by a fellow employee who is considered a "lead" and doesn't know how to engage with newer employees whatsoever.Chick-Fil-A has been around since 1967 but is well known for it's customer service and prides itself on such.What is not known is that some employees get selected for positions of "lead" and it goes to their head and they become very very toxic to fellow employees and to the workplace. These type of employees have no place in Chick-Fil-A and need to be thoroughly ostracized for their willingness to talk down to others and especially fellow employees who they have no idea these fellow employees status or social background in life in general.This so called "lead employee" needs to take several courses in how to talk to and how to deal with other employees in a way that is conducive to the actual work environment or else find a job that is more suitable and that matches his aggressive and mismanaged behavior such as a prison guard of some sort.His behavior could have easily gotten him into something much more than he could have ever imagined. I've had several bad experiences here and after my last visit I won't be back. They totally screwed up my order and the employee at the window was not friendly at all. The order takers and the cash guy are always pleasant. Not sure if the ppl at the food pick up window think they're hire ranking or something but they definitely need an attitude adjustment. Today was not so great for a few reasons. 1- I tried to do a mobile order and it wouldn't work 2- when I got to the counter the guy didn't know how to tell me how to work it then he proceeded to ramble on in a way that made him seem like he was high. I'm amazed at how well-run this Chic-Fil-A is. This is an extremely busy location in an area that isn't necessarily fantastic. I expected for this location to be less than the normal Chic-Fil-A standard of excellence. I have to say that they still manage to keep up the great work. They move people through at an amazing rate; same story for the drive through. At one point, the drive through radio was out of service and and rather than having people order an wait for food, the manager stood out and took orders at cars waiting in line and then delivered the orders via walkie talkie. This was on a midsummer's day as well. So, five stars for quality fast food and excellent service. read more

I go to chick fil a very often, however this was my first time at this location and I had the worst experience. I ordered 4 meals and they still only limited me to 4 sauces. I offered to pay extra because they don't sell the Buffalo in a bottle and the manager still refused to give me any extra. No one replied back to me saying "my pleasure". I enjoy Chick-fil-a overall for it's delicious chicken, waffle fries and milkshakes; superior customer service (compared to other similar fast food restaurants); cleanliness; and quick preparation. I frequent this chick fil a since it is local. Most times employees are friendly. Occasionally you'll see them joking around which can sometimes come across as unprofessional. I seldom do I have a problem with my order. If I do it's either because of skimped fries, inadequate portions or a milkshake being made not as requested. You order at the counter like any fast food place--but what's really cool is-the same friendly person who waits on you at the counter calls your name and brings the food out to you at your table! -Like you would get at a regular full-scale restaurant! I've only visited this location twice so far and its hit or miss with customer service. One morning it was a great experience and my next visit I received a bothered attitude. When ordering I don't even finish talking and they ask "anything else"... interrupting people is rude. And then saying "my pleasure" in a bothered/annoyed manner is no help, just skip saying it. I'm not big on fast food, but Chick-fil-a will always be the exception. As with all chains/fast food restaurants you already know what you are going to get no matter the location. I have frequented this location many times as it is the closest to me. It is in a very convenient location as there are not any others close by. That being said, I have to say this is the busiest Chick-fil-a I have ever been to. It does not matter what time of day you go here, there is always a long line both inside and at the drive thru, so expect a wait. Let me preface that I eat at Chick Fil A approximately 100 times per year primarily for breakfast. This particular store doesn't project the positive vibe that Chick Fil A is known for. When I arrived at 6:40am they must have had 40 to 50 items already made under the heat lamp. My request was for a "fresh fillet" biscuit with one swipe of honey butter on top. I have had this enough times that I know that all they did was take one of their pre made biscuits flash fry it swipe the butter and re wrap it. As you would expect the fillet was dried out, the biscuit was crumbly and the overall experience sub par. As a Chick Fil A I expect service that is much higher than you provided! The store I typically eat at has a 4 1/2 star rating compared to this one that is 2 stars. It all starts with attitude and the desire to please the customer. This Chick-Fil-A location (located on the grounds of the run down, darn near bankrupt Cheltenham Mall) makes you want to believe in the goodness of humanity. Too deep? Well, to put it plainly, although it's in what's considered to be Montgomery County, a lot of Philly teens and young adults work here...and they are some of the hardest working kids in the fast food business! Plus, all different types come into this location to eat: white collar, blue collar, old, young, college kids, corner boys - and they sit down together, without incident, enjoying the food and service, while contemporary Christian music plays gently in the background. The drive-thru line is stretched around the building no matter what time of day it is. Once, I even saw a kid standing outside as you rounded the bend to the drive thru cashier. It was raining slightly, but he was smiling and asking what kind of condiments I wanted. Huh? The Wendy's and McDonalds down the street want $.25 for extra sauce and here they were giving it away. I've been to many Chick-Fil-A's but none like this one. I spent 30 yrs of my life in this neighborhood. My favorite fast food restaurant. This is only fast food restaurant I actually go to in Philly. I remember the day Chik Fil A open, it was a warm September day, lol. In reality when my .kids and I saw that this restaurant was opening we actually counted the days. There were no Chik Fil A's within 10 miles of us. So when the Cheltenham Mall Plaza put up that "coming soon" sign we were ecstatic. Since that day 5 years ago it's become our go to spot. I've seen the workers grow up and move into other positions. New employees come and go but the quality of the food and atmosphere has remained unchanged. Still the way I like it. It seems like a great place to work and eat. The manager Lawrence interacts with the customers. He's a very nice guy and always has time to say hello He's watched my kids grow up pretty much, lol. First, I ordered through the drive-in. I got a fried chicken sandwich meal. I began eating the sandwich and it was okay. I got to the last third of the sandwich, the thicker part and it had the texture of a dry sponge. It was weird mushy and dry at the same time. I spit it out immediately. I love Chick-fil-a and used to go to one over in LA about once a month and since moving out to Philly, was glad to find one that was close to home. So this review is about this particular store, not the company since I think everyone pretty much knows how great their chicken sandwiches and waffles fries are... so good. This store is one of the more busier ones that I've visited. It's always crowded and there're a ton of kids here (if that something you'd want to avoid). It's also one of the messier ones too. There's chairs scattered all over, tables with abandoned trays and the condiment section could use a tidying up. I mean, I can see why it's messy. Because it's so busy. Maybe they should hire more people? But they seemed to be running at full staff whenever I've gone here. I noticed that service was also a little slower as well. At the other Chick-fil-a locations, I could order, find a seat and they'll bring my order to me but this one I had to wait (which I am not complaining about, just comparing this place to other Chick-fil-a's I've been to). Parking is a little weird because it intersects with the drive-thru so if you happen to be parked in one of those spots, backing out once the drive-thru gets busy can take a little bit of time.
